Big Bags and the perils of being small
I have been lusting after this bag in my avatar after seeing it across the floor at topshop shoes today I paid it another visit and I was certain it was going to be my payday purchase anyway picked it up and its MASSIVE!!!
I look like I'm playing dress up....:boohoo: I can't have it.. what a shame.
Shall have to turn my affections to something new..
Answer:
I haven't anything to say about your bag, but I did want to say how lovely that you're so excited about being an auntie that you're counting the days!!
Answer:
I can't wait :D
I have 2 brothers and they and their partners both said that they weren't going to have children so when my sis in law announced she was pregnant it was a total suprise :cmeek: but a very good one!!!!!!!! its lovely news for the whole family my Mum is dying to be a grandma and I'm not ready for babies yet but I can't wait to be an Auntie and have a little one around the place :D
Answer:
QOP I hear ya. I'm not exactly skinny-petite but I am short and I just can't do the big-bag thing. I look like I'm carrying my mummy's bag :D I think Rachel Zoe intended them to make Paris/Nicole et al. look thinner and more petite, but it can get a bit ridiculous.

I'm not skinny at all I'm curvy but petite and only 5 '1' and honestly I looked ridiculous if it hadn't have been for the successful skinny jeans buying making me celebrate my lickleness I would've been most sad about that bag.. no doubt I will find something else to love
has anyone been to the mango sale?
NO.2. ask :
has anyone been to the mango sale?
heya there just wondered if anyones been to the mango sale and if they boght anything?
i bought a few vest tops which were abt 4£ each but it was so packed in there the queues are massivily long. also the clothes were all messed up!!!
what did u buy?
Answer:
I went in but there was stuff (not to mention shoppers...) everywhere, it was horrible - absolute carnage! I left after about 30 seconds in need of a strong coffee. And yes I did feel old.
Answer:
Yep, got a gorgeous 3/4 cream coat for £57 down from £115 today (or yesterday rather) which I saw on New Years Day. I grabbed the last in my size. I went to the Regent Street branch, which seems to have loads more than the Oxford Street branch for some reason.
I got into a strop at the till as there was aanother coat exactly the same as mine but without the 'quilted padding' for £45 and I didn't realise mine has the padding so I started getting stoppy thinking the SA as trying to pull a fast one and overcharge me, but I realised she was right when I wentt o doublecheck them all after I'd paid. Still £57 is still a good price for the coat, 'special' lining' or not!
Their sale is better than Zara's and I queued to pay for 10 mins - no longer than I did in the Next Sale. The thing with long queues is that they move far quicker than they look to other shoppers.
Answer:
I thought it was rubbish... even worse a week after the sales where there is just nothing but last seasons dregs.
Which outfit?

Which outfit?
I'm going for a friend's birthday drinks/meal tomorrow - fairly cool but laid-back bar and restaurant, dress code casual. I've got it down to three different outfits and can't decide; any views?
-- Worn-in dark jeans with a slouchy emerald green jersey top, gold skinny tie-belt with a matching flower attached and stacked-heel tan boots.
-- Denim skirt, sort of western-style creamy yellow shirt with little rosebuds on it, snuggly brown or green cardigan, chunky belt and chunky brown suede wedge boots.
-- Shortish brown flower patterned forties' style tea dress thingy over skinny jeans, hot pink 3/4 length cardigan and T-bar tan shoes.
Hmm. At the moment I'm tending to the first, but that's just because I could wear my new leopard print furry jacket with it!

Answer:
I think the first one sounds the best.
Answer:
Another vote for the first one :)
BTW, where did you get the slouchy jumper? I can't find a nice one anywhere, though maybe am just being thick! Tried just getting normal ones a size up, but it didn't look right. Thanks

It's got an elasticated bit low down round the middle which you sort of pull up to sit round your waist; the rest of the top part then drapes nicely over the elasticated bit, if you see what I mean! You could do this yourself if you get a lightweight jumper or top long and loose enough (probably just short of half-way to knee length) - I'm customising one of my other tops to do the same thing.
I got it from Miss Selfridge - it's lightweight jersey fabric so not really a jumper :(
Thanks for the reply!

Getting Jeans taken up - Central London
Hi all
I brought some jeans from French Connection in the sale- they are really nice but me beinga short arse are too long in the leg.
Can anybody reccomend somewhere in the oxford street area which does alterations?
Thanks
Jes
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) I once used a tailor in South Moulton St that was ok, cant remember its name tho! It is on the left hand side as you walk down from Bond St tube.
There is also one near Picadilly Circus in Air Street between Regent St and Picadilly which is a dry cleaners too - not used it but it always looks busy
