I just got this coat today but I can't decide if I like it or not!
I think it's the colour I'm not sure about:confused:
I also don't know if it makes me look TOO STRAIGHT up and down
Also, it is much shorter on the model so I may order it in petite
What do you all think of these coats? What do they go with?
hmmm I'm very undecided.
I WANT to like it but I'm not sure
:D
My sister has one like it (but darker) and I love it on her which is why I wanted one!
Answer:
I like it. I have a very similar one from Banana Republic. It does make me feel a bit self-conscious as you do stand out a bit dressed in white- hang on, actually, did you get the pink one?
Re the length, it might be worth getting the petite one, then, because coats that length that are too long can look a bit funny sometimes.
Answer:
Hiya, I got the white one. I love it on the model but on me I think I might feel a bit self-conscious
I like the pink one, it might not make me feel so self-conscious
Answer:
Well, white is no good on public transport, but as for the feeling self-conscious thing, I never stare at other women who wear white coats, they always look fine to me so I don't know why I worry about others staring at me!
As long as it's the right white, this is. Winter white, as opposed to bright white, which can look cheap.
Answer:
I like the coat, I think it is very smart and classic.
I do agree with Ella about public transport, I have a white coat and I hardly ever wear it due to this reason:(
As a rule If I'm ever unsure about anything I either won't buy it or I'll take it back as I know I'll prob never wear it.

  • uggs (sorry) which are genuine?

    NO.3. ask :
    uggs (sorry) which are genuine?
i'm after size 6 short or long beige uggs
    some on ebay
but which of tese are genuine uggs? if none are can you point me to a seller that has genuine size UK 6 ones?
    thanks (sorry if done before)
    Answer:
I wouldn't be too hung up on the brand name as sheepskin boots (as long as they are real good quality sheepskin) are much of a muchness, but if you do want the Ugg brand specifically ...

First discount anthing that has the word 'style' in the title or description.
Even if sellers say authentic/genuine and have the box, I'd still ask for pictures of both the back of the heel where the 'Ugg' label is displayed and also of the sole - for the distinctive tread (particular to whichever style you want) and to see the word(s) 'Ugg' formed into the moulding of the tread.
    Answer:
Ugg Australia is the brand you are probably looking for, but they are not the original Uggs and are an american brand made in China. I have 3 pairs of Ugg Australia boots and they are lovely, def worth buying.
The original 'Ug' boots are made by a quite a few different companies and are normally manufactured in Oz or New Zealand. My friend has some she bought from www.australianmadegoods.com and they are just as nice.
I think the reason the Ugg australia brand is so popular is the range of colours and being linked with celebs...
I am actually just about to list a pair of US 7 lilac short uggs...pm me if you are interested.

    Answer:
This is on the Celtic Sheepskin Website - I'm thinking of getting a pair from there. Though if you go onto the Ugg Australia website Brian Smith bought the rights in 1978.
"Ugg boot" was a term used in Australia for many years to describe this style of sheepskin boots worn by surfers to keep their feet warm after spending hours in the sea. These surfers many of them travellers, bought the Ugg boot to Newquay in Cornwall in about 1973. Ever since, ugg boots, later renamed to Celt boots have been made in Newquay.
In Aug 1990 the business was bought by Nick Whitworth, who in 1991 registered the term UGG as a registered UK trademark in the international class 25 division of footwear – No 1,326,567.
For the next 6 years trading continued under the name of The Original Ugg Co with ever increasing sales the popularity of Ugg spread around the UK, with a decision being made to concentrate on selling via Mail order and of course via the web.
In 1994 Brian Smith from the USA company of Ugg Holdings contacted Nick and came over to Newquay to discuss the purchase of the rights to use the term Ugg. Negotiations slowed whilst Ugg Holdings were taken over by Deckers, but finally in 1996 an agreement was reached whereby Deckers licensed the use of Ugg with an option to purchase at a later date.
In the mean time Nick in Newquay changed the company name from The Original Ugg Co to The Celtic Sheepskin Co and changed the wording on the boot label from Ugg to Celt. All of Celtic Sheepskin’s huge range of boots are made in Newquay from 100% real sheepskin.
The term ugg is now registered to the Deckers corporation.

  • Boden Sizing

    NO.4. ask :
    Boden Sizing
Hello. Can someone please tell me how Boden sizing comes up? I'm literally half way between a 14 and 16 up top and don't really know which way to go. In particular, I'm looking at a wrap cardy. Is it best to have them a bit loser do you think? Esp if like me you're "busty"?
    Thanks all!
    Answer:
Go for the 16, their sizes are pretty much standard but I think wrap things look better slightly large than slighly small and at least you won't have to worry about your boobies escaping :D
    Answer:
Thanks for the advice. I thought the same. :D

    NO.5. ask :
Ebay (yet again) advice needed please
After reading Bella's thread, I'm not sure I should do this but...I'm thinking of selling my beloved and unworn pair of DG sparkly silver round-toed stilettos on Ebay. They cost £275 new four years ago. The (stupid) reason I haven't worn them yet is because I wanted to save them for something really special - and I haven't been anywhere REALLY special since I got them!
So - do you think I should put a reserve on them or just start the bidding low? I know I probably won't get anything near the price I bought them for but I'd expect at least £150 for them. Is that asking too much?
    Answer:
I think £150 is fair enough.....that is nearly half the price. In my experience of selling on ebay, people like to bid, so if you start something too high it doesnt attract people. No-one can see your reserve on ebay, but you might get bidders asking about it...
what size are they, can I see a pic?
    robbysgirl
    Answer:
They're a size 7 but small fitting so I'd say a 6.5. I'll try and take a pic with my phone tonight (I don't have a digital camera of my own so would have to borrow one if I go down the Ebay route). I'll try and find a pic on the net of them, although it's a long shot!
    Answer:
    awww bit too big for me..im a 2.5 :(
    Answer:
    2.5??????????? Now that's SMALL!
