1 Attachment(s) Have you actually checked online anywhere? There are prices on the Tiffany website, and these ones, for example, are £740 (set in platinum). Rather nice, though.
n.b. Not actual size!
Answer:
Oh, ok, they have the same ones but smaller (0.22 carats as opposed to 0.34) for £475 on there as well, leaving you change for something else :).
(They're on about page 36 of the earrings section, to save you some time!)
Answer:
If I had 600 to spend on earrings, I'd go to Hatton Garden and haggle! :) Oh, and perhaps have some that are set in white gold (just the claws in platinum for strength - isn't that how they do it?) to save some money. Seems a little pointless to spend extra for the Tiffany label on something like stud earings that look the same wherever you get them?
Answer:
I know you pay more as the earrings are Tiffany, but as a prestigious jewellery maker, they will always hold more value than pieces that are unmarked.
There are various types of Diamond, and at least with Tiffany's you know exactly what you are getting.
It's just my opinion, don't mean to offenc anyone, but it it were me I'd buy the Tiffany diamonds.:D

Just reading the thread further down about whether size 16 women should wear mini's and it got me thinking.
I am 35 and recently bought an a-line denim mini - not really short about 4/5 inches above knee. Is this too short for somebody of my age?
Answer:
If your legs are good, who cares how old you are? (Ok, it might look a tad silly if you were 80 or so...)

Re: Honest opinion's required
I don't think so either - if you've got nice legs then go for it!

Not at all!! Summer it would look great with a nice vest top and flip flops. Winter thick tights and jumpers!
I love me denim mini and I am a 16/18 and often get compliments on how good it looks on me.
Its not about age/sixe its about how you wear it and what you wear it with!

or anyone who's fed up of high streets looking identical, please sign this petition to save Camden Market:

I used to get all my goth clothing from Camden when I was a teen and a couple of months back I took my little goth cousin there and bought her lots of stuff. I hadn't been for almost ten years and it's been expanded so much with food stalls and lots of different clothes stalls - not just "crusty-wear" but lots of places selling Mina/Orion/Dari Meya type tunics, a Jocasi bag stall etc. I can't believe the council wants to get rid of it

Thanks for posting this, Nazneen. I can't believe they want to replace Camden Market with a shopping centre
I haven't been for a while but I guess I should make a visit soon and support some of the traders. I've got so many memories of Camden from my youth :wasfield: I remember getting some purple dyed Levi 501s and I LIVED in them for about a year - I though I was so cool  (It was 1990, though!)
Answer:
Signed it and sent link to friends:D
My sister and I went a couple of weeks ago, although I didn't buy anything I just really like the atmosphere (and have memories of buying some outrageous clubbing stuff many years ago).
Answer:
Thats crazy. I knew they were building a flashy new bit but didn't realise it meant getting rid of the rest of it.
I :throb: cyberdog :o
Answer:
Nooooo! They can't change Camden. It's been like that forever and is great the way it is!!!
I've never been a goth but have always loved Camden. It's just a cool place:(
Shrinking question

Shrinking question
i bought this jacket/blazer in the warehouse sale....
http://www.warehousefashion.com/cgi-...i?prodid=WGA24
Its a bit big at the top of the arms though, its a size 6 so its not like i can get the next size down....its made from 100% cotton so i was wondering if it would be possible to wash and tumble dry it in the hope of shrinking it a bit?! would this work or is it a crazy idea?
Answer:
Re: Shrinking question
It's a lovely jacket :)
What do the washing instructions say? In general, I'm very wary of trying to shrink jackets (jeans, that's another thing), because they tend to be made from several different fabrics (i.e. lining, outer layer, trim and so on) which may react differently to the heat.

Answer:
I'm not sure Chickpea - I'd be a bit concerned about the trim going funny.
I was going to post a shrinking thread today as well. I've got a TS denim mini which is too big - wondered if I put it on a 90 degree wash it might shrink. Any advice/tips, muchos thankos etc etc.

In answer, yes or no, she says helpfully. ;)
It all depends how much the material was pre-shrunk beforehand; generally, the more expensive the shop, the more they tend to pre-shrink fabrics. I've successfully shrunk a too-large pair of HM jeans by washing them at sixty degrees, but another pair from Jeffrey Rodgers stubbornly refuses to shrink, even when washed at ninety degrees. Maybe try at sixty first and if that doesn't work, try them at ninety.

Thank you geek_kitten!
The instructions say to wash at 40 and not to tumble dry, its pu trim so tumble drying might make it go funny?
Dangly Earrings
NO.5. ask :
Dangly Earrings
Help! I have tonnes of lovely earrings - some valuable, some not, all dangly - and I really want to find a way to store them. Ideally I'd love something like this:
Earring display
But without all the fancy bits and holding a few more pairs. And also available in the UK as shipping from there is ridiciculous!
So, has anyone got any ideas? Failing that, I suppose I could go for the perspex box with partitions like this:
Earring cady
But again, I don't want to spend more on shipping than the item itself is worth.
Please help. My earrings are all thrown in a draw at the moment and getting all tangled. :(
Answer:
Why not just go into a Lakeland shop- no postage.

Can't. Don't live anywhere near one. :( Plus, although I want a storage system like that for my bracelets etc, I really would like a display type thing for earrings.
Answer:
What do we think of these? In particular the 11th one down in a lighter wood? I might actually ask him not to treat it and paint it white to match my room.

Answer:
How about some of those see through drawer towers from Muji? You'll be able to see the earrings but they won't get dusty.
