    Purse for coins, notes cards
Hiya  Am wondering if any baggers could help with some advice? I had a really nice wallet that i could keep credit cards, notes (without jamming them in: with plenty of width but not too wide to fit in jeans pocket) coins (without the risk if them falling out onto the floor or having to empty it out on counter in diddery granny style) However, i had my here knicked! :cmeek: Was thinking about using designer lines: but am unsure about which purse to get as some photos only show a closed purse. Any suggestions?
    Answer:
Have you tried TK Maxx? I got a fabby black leather one that holds everything for £10:cool: They usually have a good range of shapes and sizes
    Answer:
Slightly embarssingly my "purse" is a mens wallet :o
but it is perfect for my needs, it holds my multitute of cards and notes and coins perfectly, and also can be shoved in the back pocket of my skinniest jeans no probs! But it isn't sexy at all! :o
    Answer:
I know what you mean....one of my best wallets was a men's one but a bit too masculine! I'm after a leather one that can age nicely!
    Answer:
I got a lovely one from Miss Selfridge which is really very soft leather and was only £8 I think! They had them in tan or purple and they were on the website.

need some advice for my mum
This is very O/T but my mum has just come home very upset due to a work issue. One of her managers is trying to change the shift she works from 6am-2pm to 7am-3pm. My mum isnt able to work that shift and is very upset.
I have no idea whether thats possible, I thought that if you signed a contract to work a certain amount of hours and a certain shift that it couldnt be changed?? Does anyone know if her manager can just forcefully change her hours? If anyone has any advice I'd be so grateful.
    Thanks

    Answer:
Hi angrymincepie (I can understand why you're angry for your mum).

I'm not an expert and the best advice I can offer is to contact your local Citizen's Advice Bureau (they have helped me with a couple of work related issues in the past).

However I do know that if your mum has any dependents (young children or elderly relatives) employers are now obliged to be reasonably flexible about working hours. So forcing her to change shifts when she's offered to work at an alternative time probably isn't reasonable.

Hope this helps... but seriously get her to call Citizen's Advice.
    Answer:
    hi
I work in an employment law consultancy. Have they just said verbally to your Mum that she HAS to change.
THere may be a clause in her contract something like that she may be expected to revise or change her working hours in order to meet the needs of the business..if so that makes things more tricky.
They really should be a bit official though and write to her especially if its going to be a permenant thing.
if my staff are changing their hours even if its at their request I would always write to them confirming it.
if you need any more help just ask.
    Answer:
oh yeah and if your Mum has young children etc and she's told her employer about that they are being unreasonable. there is probably a reason why she works those hours and I am guessing if 3pm is a problem its due to school collections or similar.
Might be worth checking are they making anyone else change? don't want to sound litigous but they could be sexually discriminating against her also.

I can't get off the blimmin thing!
Anyone else find it hugely addictive?
    Answer:
I'm on it but not really into it, I still prefer My Space, I like the way you can decorate your own page and have music. Facebook is all a bit too anal for me with so and so has just said this and so and so feels like this today, IYKWIM?!
    Answer:
oh yes, especially no i've discovered I can use it to leave messages on the wall thing. One of my friends has access to facebook at work, but not msn messenger, so we are using it as a msn substitute. Yay!
    Tani
    Answer:
me! i did miss the decorating aspect of myspace at first, but now i like that you can't because let's face it, a lot of people have really awful taste and looking at their pages can be a bit headache inducing :cmdunno: not to even mention those bloody transparencies that slow everything down to a snail's pace even on 10mbps+ connections.. and i hate music on the pages too, unless it's a band's page in which case it makes sense. i'm rather irritable
but enough with the myspace bashing, it does have its uses.. for looking up bands and things, and people who you vaguely know but you may not want knowing your full name and where you went to school and things like that.
    Answer:
You can run both obsessions along side each other - believe me! I do like myspace as well but that's blocked at work so has been sidelined a bit.
