I bought the new Elle on weds and I think I am in love.
In the adverts before you get to the main magazine there is a Miu Miu advert, and Lou Douillon is carrying a tan bag and it is a beaut.
I have looked on net a porter, as well as Saks and Neiman Marcus and the Rafeollo Network to see if it is on there and how much it costs, as Miu Miu bags are usually 'affordable' and whether owning it is a possibility or a pipe dream.
As I am currently stuck in Norwich (I say that as if I am a prisoner, its not that bad!) I can't get to London easily to find out how much it is, so my question is if anyone happens to be passing by, or near the Selfridges concession could they find out how much it costs for me

Why not just give Miu Miu or one of the consessions (Selfridges, Harvey Nics, Liberty) a call and ask? You can even buy it over the phone if the price is right ;) They are normally very friendly and helpful.
I would expect the price to be in £300 region. Not too keen on their new bags so far so never checked the prices or I could have told you myself :lol:

Ok,
My first post on the site - so be gentle with me. Up until recently I was the typical jeans,jumper and trainer girl because my partners in the past never really took any notice of what I wore or how I looked - as long as I was there when they wanted me. I've recently started seeing an older guy. I'd say he's more sophisticated but he'd say I was mad. Anyway - he's opened my eyes to dressing to "enhance what I have" as he puts it. Now its shorter hair, makeup, nice jeans and tops, I don't hide my bust anymore etc etc.
I've also discovered the delights of lingerie - no longer just bra and pants to put on under my jeans etc.
Anyway - I would REALLY like to wear sexy undies for him - and I like the idea of stockings because I know that he, like most men, love the look of a girl in stockings and sexy lingerie. But then I hit the confusing part - suspenders or holdups. Both look nice - but are holdups as nice as stockings and suspenders. And I hear people say suspenders aren't comfy and are awkward. Help PLEASE!

I always think suspenders can look a little bit clichéd, so I prefer hold ups, although if you're having a fat day (or year in my case!) the elastic can sometimes cause a bulge above the stocking, so it depends on how firm your thighs are!
Congrats on branching out, I was a jeans and top girl for years and it's so nice to try new things and get more adventurous! :D

Just wondered everyone's opinions on leather skirts for wnter wear? I'm thinking knee length, with thick tights and probably boots, and a chunky winter jumper.

I would say, depends on the leather and the style of the skirt.
I think a super tight nice Gucci-stylee pencil would be HOT with pointy boots and a soft luxe jumper. Or soft suede in a nice classic shape.
I have a brown suede pencil skirt with a split with I can wear with heels, or a distressed washed leather which is deep choc brown on the "outside" and an orange tone on the "inside" which is assymmetric and quite unusual.

This is the best shop for dealing with returns, ever!
I had a pair of k swiss I bought 4 months ago which absolutely ripped my heels to shreds, it wasn't just the leather, as I wore them loads to 'wear them in' but no luck.
So anyway I took them back last week and the manager said no at first and said that I must have stood on them becuase the lining had gathered at the back (causing the pain). Obviously I stood my ground and in the end
I got an exchange so I got a lovely new pair of shoes!
THEN I overheard a guy saying there was no time limit in which to exchange things, if the product was still resellable...
So I remembered a pair of shoes I bought from there, must have been about a year ago now :eek: I'd never worn them out and never would have (stupid impulse buy). As it happens they've been brought back into store and are on sale at the moment.
So I saw my opportunity and took them back the next day in a schuh bag/box, without a receipt and to my surprise I'd paid £60 for them, so I had £60 to play with. Finally found a gorgeous pair of shoes for £50 and to my shock they handed me a tenner cash!!!
So two new pairs of lovely shoes, for nothing! :cool:
