I know this is a bit late, but... Gauchos in Primark?

NO.1. Ask :
I know this is a bit late, but... Gauchos in Primark?
I've had abolutely no cash for ages (damn not getting student loan for summer), but have just been paid :yay:
And I'd love some gauchos, but the US ebay scares me!
I was wondering if anyone had seen any of them in Primark recently? Or have they all been snapped up?
Answer:
I was in the norwich branch at the weekend, they had one pair in black and about 4 pairs in white.
Was tempting to get the last black pair as I love my pair I bought a couple of months ago... but I didn't.
That is the only other time I have seen them in Primark - I only ever saw them once before, which is when I bought a pair and haven't seen them since until saturday.
Answer:
I got a pair in Kingston Primark but decided I didn't like the cut or material so I sold them on ebay for a profit!
Answer:
I've seen them in the Primarks in Bexleyheath and Bromley - I'm so tempted to get some but I don't know when I'd wear them!
Answer:
Oooh, if anyone sees them in a 10 in black, could you possibly pick me up a pair?
I have paypal, or could pay by cheque?

Cashmere Slippers - what do you think?
I think Reddirect is expensive for what they sell but these have really tickled my fancy!
    Answer:
They are cute but I agree they're expensive for what they are and I don't like how they're only available in small or large, I'm a 5-6 so I'd be right in the middle of the two sizes...
    Answer:
    48 quid for slippers!
They look soft and snuggly but have a faint whiff of old lady about them :)
    Answer:
    Erm no ....
My grandmother had those, and she was 75.
    Answer:
    I think they're cute but I wouldn't pay 48 pounds.
I'm not sure I'd buy cashmere slippers as I have a talent for felting up cashmere when I wash it and slippers aren't the kind of thing I'd want to leave unwashed for too long!

incredible customer service - next time you're in the states...
check out black and white as i call it (really Black Market/White House but thats too much of a mouthful!)
they have the best customer service ever, have dealt with them twice now and they've been amazing - know you girls appreciate that so thought i'd give them a well deserved plug.
incident 1 - went to a special valentines event they invited me too (i'm on their mailing list/in their 'black book' - more on that later) - actual mailed invitation having been asked in store if i wanted to go - special event for preferred customers, discount on the night, food and beverages, launch of spring collection yada yada. went to it, no staff came to help me, food was dried up cheese and bread and bottle of sparkling mineral water, staff didnt know what was going on - it was worse than going on a normal night, which is always good - start a fitting room for you, no hard sell, give good opinions etc. so while it didnt put me off the store as i do like them and their clothes, i wrote to say how disappointed i was as it was such a waste of time, and as former event planner i expected much more. they sent me a hand-written card apologising and asking to give them another chance - and included a $50 gift card to do so! i went in a different store recently and was told that manager had been sacked as this wasnt the only thing she messed up.
incident 2 - emailed to see what my balance was for entry to black book - they have this thing where once you spend $300 you get a card that gives you a permanent 5% discount, birthday offers, double discounts etc. i signed up at christmas time and thought i'd spent about $80 (oh how i hated being unemployed/unable to work through immigration for so long), but last time i got something, the receipt said i still had about $275 to go. emailed them and they said they were maybe missing a transaction so give them a call and they could add them on. i found them all on credit card statements and called, once i gave my credit card number they found a dress i'd bought for my wedding ceremony, last february, way before i joined their list, and added that too! so i only had about $80 to go. very cool. then about 5 mins later the guy i'd been speaking to called back, said he was having trouble adding those transactions so since i was so near full membership, he was just going to authorise it anyway, was just entering into the system for them to send me my membership card, which should take about 6 weeks or so!
was extremely impressed - best customer service i've ever experienced and i told him so. just need to write to the company president now. good service like this should be commended and recognised - if only everyone was like this!
sorry its so long, but had to share, i'm still too impressed for words!

    Answer:
I love their clothes to be honest. Great classic pieces that wear well and don't cost the earth. I had forgotten about my discount card though, may have to dust it off and check them out again! :)

    NO.5. ask :
    Slightly o/t; Blisters.
Not how to prevent them but how do you get rid of them quickly?
I have them on the soles of my feet and I'm at Reading next week, and I really don't wanna be walking all day in blisters.
So, any tips to make them heal quicker? Would moisturiser help?
    Answer:
Ohhhh you so have to get these scholl blister plasters. They are £3.89 for 5 in superdrug but they help draw out the moisture and stop them from hurting as they have a gel cushion to relieve the pressure.
I bought them after wearing in some new shoes around town and being crippled. Popped the blister (tmi i know!!!) Put these on and 2 of them don't hurt and the other is on the mend within 5 days :)
ETA: I wouldn't moisturize them, they say on the plasters that it helps draw out moisture to help them heal more quickly so i can't imagine putting moisturizer on would help.
    Answer:
This might be TMI, but I sterilise a needle and prick them to get all the liquid out. Then it needs to dry out so definately don't put any moisturiser on for a day or two. Then I use a pumice stone every day to get rid of the loose skin, and once its completely dried out, use a foot lotion with AHAs - Aveda's Foot Relief is superb, and I believe BeneFits Sandal Scandal is quite good too.
