Am off to get my A/W coat today!
Saw it in Asda yesterday - lovely choc brown (there's the choc brown thing again!! :) ), double breasted tweedy-effect material and only £40!!! :winner: I think they're new stock, but I hope when I go back today that they've still got one in my size...

Lowering heels on boots?
NO.2. ask :
Lowering heels on boots?
I bought some great boots from e-bay; they're a gorge pewter colour and will look fab with skinny jeans for winter. BUT the seller advertised them as 3 inches, and they're actually 4. Had I known that I probably wouldn't have bid on them, as 4 inches is just a little too high for comfort and to get a lot of wear out of from my point of view. But now they're here and I love the colour so much I'm wondering if it's possible to get the heels reduced. Anyone know? I'll check at the cobblers but thought someone here may have had experience of a similar need.
Thanks :)
Answer:
I wouldn't have thought so as it would make the dimensions of the shoes wrong. Lowering the heel would make the front of the foot part stick up surely as you would in effect be leaning back on the shoe? If that makes sense:uzzle:
Answer:
Just what I was about the say CiC, surely it would affect the curve of the boot since they're angled to match the heel height?
xx
Answer:
That's what I thought too, but I also thought I recalled someone saying they'd had this done.
Oh well, looks like it'll be style over comfort
Where can I find these ballet pumps?

Where can I find these ballet pumps?
I've seen loads of people wearing ballet pumps with a gold or silver stripe thing around the top.
Does anybody know where they are from?

Opinions needed!

Opinions needed!
Hey all! I'm after your expert (and honest!) opinions again please, this time re. my birthday suit.
Or should that be birthday outfit... :p
Anyhow...I'm having a party on Friday night (in a function room) and then probably moving on to some clubs.
My planned outfit is this...
Black city shorts - the Primark ones everyone's raving about
Brown round neck, short sleeve tee
Cream fitted v-neck jumper - decent length
Was planning on wearing that rather basic outfit with...
Amber cuff on one arm
Silver watch and lots of turquoise beads on the other
Gorgeous brown and turquoise brooch on the jumper
Brown leather peep-toes and matching vintage leather clutch bag
I might be better posting a pic in the morning, but could you all let me know what you think please!
Thank you, (a very excited birthday girl - just - version of...) BB xxx
Answer:
Post a pic and i will then let u know, i am trying hard to imagine but im not really seeing it!!
All depends of your style of course, but i am loving the floaty skirt, not the long length gypsey ones, but the shorter (knee, or just below) with a class pair of wedges, and a nice capped tee-shrit?
Post the pic anyway i will let ya know!!!

Okey, will post a pic when I get home from Tescos (what an exciting life I lead :p )
I'm not a fan of either floaty skirts or wedges, and own neither, so thanks but that outfit's not really for me :)
Answer:
I like the sound of that BB, esp the cream and brown. Like you say quite basic and stylish, but you make it your own with your fab-sounding acessories, love the brooch.
pics please!;)
Answer:
I really like the sound of that, Bibbity - quite a simple base outfit but really zinged up by the accessories. It sounds quite classic modern with a cool twist - the brooch sounds fab!
Oooh, and Happy Birthday! :hatparty:
