y'know making new jeans look old?
i've know idea how to get started, any advice?
Answer:
If you do a search on www.craftster.org loads of good techniques are explained :)
Answer:
I've just bleached an old pair of Levis totally white (soaked them overnight in a bucket full of Tescos Value bleach) and am now embroidering on them randomly. So far I have done a butterfly, rambling flowers/leaves, a seascape and a here. I'll just keep going until I think they're done, I get bored or I run out of cheap embroidery floss.

O/T HELP - Removing Mascara from bed linen
I dropped my waterproof mascara on my friends pale green duvet cover leaving a big streak. Any ideas how to get it out?
Answer:
Vanish stick (the bright pink one) has gotten black eyeliner out of my pillowcase so would work hopefully.
Answer:
Stain devil for make up stains got foundation that wouldn't shift after two washes from my white duvet.
Answer:
I would second Vanish stain remover, either the stick or the spray seem to work well before a wash :)

Hmm, which shrug?
NO.4. ask :
Hmm, which shrug?
First one is:
Khaki green
£25 from Bay Trading
Crochet type material
Second on is:
Beigey
£10 from George
More of 'chunky knit'
I suppose beigey will go with more, but should I go for a different colour? Most of my wardrobe is brown, cream, turquoise and orange.
Am tempted to go with the cheaper one, however, 'cos am so skint!
Opinions please - cheers darlings! :)
Answer:
I like the sound of the chunky knit one better than crochet - it will be nicer for autumn/winter and i'm not keen on crochet type shrugs anyway.
Answer:
Thanks Bibbitybob - I always do this - buy something, then see something else later, take them both home and try to decide between the two (or three...!!)
Answer:
Deff the beige one, I like the sound of chunky knit more than crochet, though that might just be me. And anyways, it's cheaper!
Answer:
Thanks JellyJadie - pity they're not on line so I can't show pics!
Miu Miu shoes
NO.5. ask :
Miu Miu shoes
Hello,
My lovely boyfriend has offered to buy me a pair of Miu Miu shoes for my birthday in a few weeks, even after I told him how absurdly expensive they are.
Now, I'm seriously in love with the platforms they did a little while ago, but was wondering if anyone knew of a good website where I might get some a little bit cheaper than normal? I'm having a look on American eBay, and there are quite a few nice ones, but I'm not sure if they're genuine and also what size I'm likely to be. I'm a pretty regular size 4, but can fit into 3's in some shoes.
Can anyone help me? (Oh, and Nixytrix if you're reading, I'm still watching those snakeskin ones you put up the other day.. just in case! ;) )
xx
Answer:
yoox have a pretty decent selection! including quite a few pairs of snakeskin ones
does your boyfriend have a brother? ;)
Answer:
I was going to suggest Yoox. I'm just looking through the website and they have lots of choice. Esp. if you are size 2-3
Answer:
Oh, you're both stars. Do you know if Miu Miu shoes come up slightly big? I vaguely remember reading that they generally do, so I might fit a 3 if I'm lucky.
I'm quite tempted towards some flats now, but I promised myself platforms!
xx
Answer:
Right, after a little look I've decided I'm in love with the two pairs that aren't in my size
I love these on Yoox, and I still like these that Nixytrix posted the other day.
Guess I'll just have to wait and see if any turn up on eBay!
xx
