eBay - have I waited long enough?

NO.1. Ask :
eBay - have I waited long enough?
I won a Miu Miu here on eBay and paid on 2nd September. It had to come from Manchester to Dublin. I haven't received anything as yet.
I emailed the seller Tuesday, Thursday and Friday last week and have not heard anything back. She has 47 positive feedback and last purchased on 8th September.
What should I do? Should I wait and assume she is on holidays?
Answer:
Hmm, I would send one last email saying that if I don't get a response in a couple of days time I will be filing a claim.
You did pay by PaayPal didn't you? If not you are out of povket.
Annoying when that happens but at least if you paypalled you can get your money back
Answer:
I'm probably just being really impatient... then again I have this worrying pain that I've been "done".
I paid through paypal - I think I've to file a claim within 45 days of the payment so hopefully I will get 'some' money back.
For the moment I'm just going to keep hitting "send and receive" in the hope of a response. It was to be sent to my work address so it can't be a failed delivery.
I really want that bag, boo :(
Answer:
It always happens with items ytou REALLY want, never the old tat that you convinced yourself you needed at the time
Good luck ;)
Answer:
I would ask her how she sent it, or is she just completley blowing off your emails?
You can pull her contact info (name address) and give her a call to see what's going on if you really want.
I'd probably wait until Wednesday then file a Paypal complaint, as she's had long enough.

    The customer thread
And for those of us who work or have worked in retail, whether in a shop or in a head office, I'm sure we've all got stories about nightmare customers!
    Answer:
Those who try and milk their right to a refund, no matter what the circumstance. I used to work in a restaurant and they'd eat 80% of their meal and THEN raise hell about how terrible it was and go on and on about their right to refund...you try to be polite, but really they've eaten most of it so it can't be THAT bad!
Those that return clothes they've obviously worn (lenor smell is a giveaway, or wear and tear) and seem to think they're entitled to full refund because they don't like it anymore!
:p But thankfully I no longer work in a shop, but I still try to see things from the SA's perspective.

    Answer:
Having worked at two lingerie companies, I'd definitely say people who don't follow the washing instructions and then complain when things don't last long enough, then they have the audacity to lie about how they washed it even though we can tell at one glance how it's been washed!
    Answer:
When people think it's our fault we don't have the stock in. Honestly, it annoys me just as much, if not more, when we have no stock. Do you know how hard it is to get a packet of bloody crisps to stand up on its own when there are no others to prop it up with ?! It's always old women who have got summat to complain about. They don't care what it is, as long as they can have a good moan and have you running about like a blue-arsed fly after them. 'Have you not got any more of this toasting loaf in ?', 'I don't think so, have you bought it here before ?', 'yes, I buy it every week. Or I try to. But every time I come they never have any in. You know, I've been buying this loaf for 25 years, since they first started, and I've come back every week and they never have any in'. And I think, well, it's bread. Of course, once they've gone, they're not gonna get any more in for the rest of the day. It's 5.45. We close at 6. Did you really expect to be able to get hold of fresh bread ? So I offer to see if there's any in the back (even though I know full well there won't be because it comes in on a morning, and all that's there goes out), and they huff and puff and wait. I come back apologising, saying we don't have any, asking managers if we'll be getting any in, suggest similar things, etc. They don't appreciate it. I run around all day trying to find things for people, do all I possibly can for them, and they're just like, 'See, this is typical, can never get owt round here, that means I'll have to come in again tomorrow now, I'll have to traipse into town all over again, blah blah blah'. And you just think, is it really worth it for a loaf of frigging bread ? Surely we're not the only place that sells that ?
Ooh, and another one - people that moan about the prices. They come to Marks Spencer's to do their food shopping, and then have the cheek to complain about the prices. I know they're overpriced. You know they're overpriced. If you don't like it, go to Asda. Don't have a fit at me at the till because you expected to pay significantly less than 23p for a tomato.
Got an arsey customer the other day, I'm still quite confused as to who was in the wrong. So she was the next customer, and there was a woman behind her at the checkout, and I'm sure I heard this woman talking to someone, who replied, and I thought it was the woman in front of her, so I thought they were together. The woman behind said to me, 'Are these teabags the same or are they different strengths ?', while pushing a box of teabags at me. I wasn't just gonna ignore her obviously, so I told her they were different. It had taken me a matter of seconds to tell her that, but the woman in front, the arsey customer, got all high and mighty and said, 'You know, in future, you should really serve the customer before answering questions from the next one'. I honestly thought they were together, and what was I supposed to do, blank the other woman or say, 'no, wait, this woman's that important that I can't possibly answer your simple question whilst serving her'.
Then another time two women were bickering at my till because one was taking ages to pack. They weren't together, this woman had come through, I'd put the stuff through and taken her payment and whatever. The woman behind her was in a rush, she kept looking at her watch and had been on the phone to someone saying she'll be out in a minute, won't be long, etc. The woman who'd just come through was taking ages to pack, I was about to help her but thought I best get this one through first. She only had a sandwich and a drink. So I put them through, and she started moaning at the woman taking her time. The slow woman was saying, 'I've got rheumatoid arthritis, you know, it's very hard', and the one in a rush was bitching back at her, 'well you should've asked for help then shouldn't you, they're very nice people here, I'm sure the lady would've been happy to help you if you'd just asked'. So they argued for a minute, then once the woman taking her time had gone, the other one started saying stuff to me, 'they've only to ask, you know, there's no need to struggle and hold everyone up, and expect everyone to have sympathy for her'. You've just got to nod and smile, haven't you ?
    Answer:
That sounds like such a nightmare. I'm so glad I dont work in retail anymore (or at all, although I do miss money). People were generally ok where I used to work, although I remember once I was folding up a long dress for a customer, and I was trying to do it nicely instead of it getting creases, it was the biggest dress I have ever seen in my whole entire life and it was from a different department, the woman was so mad at me for taking so long to fold it.
I remember one woman came in every single week, she hardly ever bought anything, or would buy a cheap vest or something. She decided she wanted a bikini with size 14 top and size 10 bottoms but htey were sold as sets. Everyone knew what she was doing, but one day she came in when it was just me on and she tried them on in a different department's fitting rooms. I knew they were different sets but she got what she wanted. Half an hour later the size 10 top and size 14 bottoms turned up. Never got sold funnily enough. Customers were complaining about that damned set all the time afterwards because they were different sizes, and then they complained about the other sets for just being sets. Apparently the customers would have preferred to buy them separately so that both parts fit. They always used to say it as if we didnt spend 8 hours a day being told it by everyone else.

TS have a new book out - just seen the advert for their feature in The Sun
Book is retailing at 40% off - £12 instead of £20 if you pre-order from Amazon.
Thing is, I wonder if it is it a rehash of all the books.

I might have to get that,or wait until Christmas and get someone to buy it for me!

Does the medium spy bag fit on your shoulder?
the title says it all really!
I'm weighing up whether to get one from Lush or ioffer.........but was just wondering if the medium size fits comfortably on your shoulder? I have to have something that I can carry on my shoulder without the strap being too short and it constantly slipping down
Its hard to judge the size in the pics

    Answer:
SS - mine fits on my shoulder no prob, though it did slip a bit on Saturday when I was using it with my black miss selfridge belted jacket (and if you know the one I'm talking about, its not a particularly thick material or anything). I don't mind as I carry my bags int he crook of my arm most teh time anyway, but if you wanted one to carry on your shoulder over thick winter coats, maybe the larger size would be better?

i need bootleg flared jeans in an indigo colour, no whiskering or distressing, in a 32" leg. any brand, any price (within reason). the crucial thing is the leg-length; shortening bootleg jeans always results in straight leg jeans:rolleyes:

New Jet jeans on Top Shop website?
sorry loony, posts must have crossed in editing. the jet jeans are perfect but they have a crease down the middle. most annoying as the pair i used to have didn't have the crease. perhaps they changed the style or something?
    Answer:
Really? That's strange, my pair from a couple of years ago doesn't have it either. If you are a size 28 you can have them
Have you tried Gap or Oasis? I'm a bit stumped as I prefer higher end jeans which I have to have shortened *sigh*
    Answer:
Have you tried Next or Levis, I have quite a few pairs from both Brands and they vary in length too.
