Tinyoneill !!

NO.1. Ask :
Tinyoneill !!
so, have you got your ioffer spy and lush spy yet so you can compare for us - have ya ? have ya ? :yay: :yay:
(I am eagerly awaiting this as its Friday, I'm tired and need a pick-me-up....and think a spy bag will do the trick !;) )
Answer:
Hi Ellie
yes, it arrived about 30 minutes ago.
I'm afraid that the verdict is that while its a lovely bag to look at, the leather and fittings etc aren't a patch on my ioffer one.
Its still a lovely bag, and perhaps if I didn't have my black one I'd be bowled over by it altogether. But there's no comparison really. :(
That said, it was a lot cheaper than my ioffer one considering it cost a little more for just a medium size. Plus, the ioffer one has the fendi stamped brasswear, the proper spy compartments, hologram, fendi lining etc.
I'm unsure what to do, because while I'm not 100% on it, the seller is quite literally the nicest seller that I've ever dealt with, and the bag IS a lovely bag, and it looks gorge sitting on the floor here beside me (just like the picture on her website. Its just that up close the differences are really apparent.
I feel really bad saying it, cause it IS a nice bag, and I know that lots of you girls are very happy with your ones. But the honest comparison between my two is that there's a huge difference in quality.
Answer:
damn ! that is such a shame:(
I really hoped the Lush one would bear up well as ioffer scares me .:o
Mind you, I want a crocodile spy or a leather with tortuga handle spy....so ioffer was my best bet. I'm an ebay virgin and ioffer scares me even more !
Answer:
Ladies
my friend has just come out of her meeting and seen the bag, and she thinks its fabulous (she's a big fendi fan too), and she said its just different quality to the ioffer one and that if I hadn't gotten it that I'd have been over the moon with the lush one.
I think she's right, so please don't let me put anyone off. I'm comparing something which is a straight up copy of a fendi with something that is a 'inspired by' version of it. So while the quality may not be quite as good, it's still a lovely bag, and is a gorgeous colour.
Just wanted to be sure that I gave a proper unbiased opinion!
Answer:
Hi, my spy came this morning too and it is a lovely bag but I know what you mean. Although it is fab, I was a little disappointed. Sorry if I'mdim, but is your ioffer one the real thing?

What was your favourite Summer 05 Outfit?
    Who's gonna go first?? :p
ETA: Don't wanna go first in case mine sounds horrendous haha
    Answer:
Mine was a hippie patchwork top that I made myself that laces up the back which is open. Bottom half was a cream cord mini skirt and shoes were flops with cowry shells decorating them. :)
    Answer:
Mine was boho long khaki skirt, open backed deisel t-shirt (turquoise) and what I called my Jesus sandals :0)
Not all worn together of course!!! Have to say Ive done boho to death and Im liking the structured tailoring that is around for autumn/winter
    Answer:
I have to say i wasn't overly happy with any of my summer stuff i'm more of a winter dresser kind of girl.
I did love my gaucho's though. Light swishy and fab :D
    Answer:
    Sounds gorgeous, Dolphin!
I couldn't honestly say what my favourite outfit was this summer - I had so many nice ones :o I can't take any credit for it - I just kept finding so many lovely clothes! Off the top of my head, I can think of three that I really liked, but there were probably many more:
Utterly lovely pale minty-green maxi swirly skirt with a pattern in pewter matt beads and sequins, pewter gladiator sandals with a teeny wedge, big battered silvery bag, white vest. So simple, yet it made me feel great!
Deep purple gauchos, turquoise/teal knitted v-necked vest with bronze and pink beads and sequins around the neckline, bronze strappy wedges. I still don't quite know how it worked.
Beige cropped trousers, orange vest, brown safari shirt, chunky teal cangle, antiquey-gold necklace with three patterned connected discs, same wedges. I think I liked that outfit because I was really happy that day for some reason :)

    Answer:
Well, without knowing what you look like, I can't really answer that!
I'm not so keen on drainpipes/straight leg trousers with heels, but I've seen some people looking really good. To be honest I don't like the pointy toes with them, they look a bit too eighties throwback (sorry, I know lots of people won't agree!) - but I think round toes could look cute!

I agree with the 80s throwback thing! Hand up right here! :)
I think it depends on what you look like, but I haven't seen anyone pull of the drainpipe/heel combo without looking like they've stepped out of an 80s movie. :)

  • what do i wear with skinney jeans?

    NO.5. ask :
what do i wear with skinney jeans?
i'm thinking round toe heels? or shoe boots? or pointy stilletoes and leg warmers? only jokin about that last one. and what kind of top should i wear? also could do with some ideas on what to wear with cullots too. not feeling very inspired this morning.
    Answer:
Round toed heels sound nice, also flat ballet pumps to dress down during the day in prettty colours....um tops, anything slouchy or a bit baggy otherwise you might look a bit skintight all over if you see what I mean!
SO wish I could find the right pair :(
    Answer:
Ballet flats or boots for both, but boots with cullottes only if the material of the cullottes is thickish - the difference in texture with thinner material gaucho-type cullottes and leather boots might look a bit odd, IMHO.
    :)
    Answer:
If you have a look on the what are you wearing right now thread you'll get some ideas :)
I like the little grandad shirts and waistcoats with skinny jeans, or a dress/ jumper dress.
Def boots with the culottes - I don't think they look right with shoes though some people here do.
    Answer:
    Skinny jeans:
Boots, obviously - anything from over-the-knee pirate boots to slouchy ankle boots by way of more classic round-toe riding boots! I personally can't wear skinnies with flats but someone with longer and slimmer legs might be able to.
Round-toe heels like Mary Janes can look cool with skinnies if you've got the legs - teamed with a victorian blouse and maybe a waistcoat, some beads, bangles - you get the idea. I'm with Sparkley on the jumper dresses too. I also like wearing loose-fit jumpers or cardies with slim-fit jeans, belted at the waist with a funky belt and maybe with a cute brooch or so added on. I'm also still clinging determinedly to some of my pretty long-sleeved peasant or gypsy tops from the summer, by wearing them over a lightweight jumper and belting them. It does work - somehow!
    Culottes:
I personally like them with boots and shoes; I've been wearing my gauchos with my buckled pirate boots and I think they look pretty good ;) For tailored culottes, I prefer pointy-toed boots or round-toed shoes for some reason - I've got a charcoal grey pair which I wear with plum Mary Janes or plain black pointy stiletto heels (or will once I buy them).
As for tops - anything works IMO!
