After a dramatic sales slump of 9 per cent during the first half of this year, during which profits fell to £5.1 million from £16.2 million last year, company spokeswoman Lorna Perrin said: "Logos are no longer prevalent in fashion collections and this is a response to the fact that our customers want something different." The logo, which was credited with soaring profits when it was launched in 1997, has occasionally brought the company trouble with the Advertising Standards Authority, and it has reached the end of its shelf life. "[It] will be used in a much more subtle way," went on Perrin. "Branding on the recent autumn/winter collection has been significantly reduced and used in a softer manner.

It was quite controversial and interesting for a while but definitely time for a new direction!
I like the A/W collection a lot though.

I've not looked in French Connection for ages - I used to buy loads of stuff, when they did cute evening tops, lovely beaded skirts etc. I might have another look, now they've decided to tone down the logo.

Bought a gorgeous hand knitted scarf from Primark yesturday. It is white and really soft and warm, but it is made from that loose fibre wool and I wore it yesurday with a black cord cropped jackt and Black T shirt and now It looks like I have been rolling on a persian cat!!!! WHite fluff everywhere!!! and to top it off I can't stop sneezing from all the fibres flying up my nose!
Is there anything I can do to stop the scarf moulting?! i really love this scarf but I look ridiculous wearing it because I am COVERED in white fibres!

I hate it when that happens! I have the same problem with a gorgeous soft cream jumper which I hardly wear because it moults everywhere...a shame, cos I love it!
Maybe washing it a few times would help, but then it might not be as soft? Failing that, just take a big roll of double sided sticky tape out with you to run over your clothes when you take the scarf off lol...sounds mad, but I can't think of anything else!

I doubt it can but if it can be put in the tumble dryer that should get all the fluffy out.
Or put it on a spin setting in the washing machine - may work best dry if doing this:)

I read somewhere that putting a mohair jumper in a bag and then putting it in the freezer for a few hours helps to stop the fibres from 'shedding' everywhere - perhaps the same thing can be done with your scarf Nursie?

I bought two pairs to sell on ebay. I didn't actually think they would fit me as I have quite chunky thighs but they do:D

Have been lusting after these (below) in dorothy perkins, got really excited as they looked roomy and are expandable, tried them on and could only get the zip up half way! I was so embaressed as the sales assistat was standing over me watching! why do they do this!!!! grrrrrrr
