Hello! (sorry this went on a bit!)
As you're all very good on clothes here I thought I'd share something that happened to me and get your feedback as to whether I'm right to be so angry or not :(
Right, a couple of weeks ago I bought two long sleeved, round necked tops in MS. One was black the other red. I wore the red one and then washed it at 40 degrees and tumbled it as it said on the label. When I was hanging it up I thought it looked a strange shape. When I compared it to the black one (as yet unworn) it was a lot shorter and the sleeves were too. It also looked very shapeless.
So I took them both back today and said as much to the Assistant. She told me I could not compare the two colours as they could have been manufactured in two different places and would not have been the same size in the first place  When she asked me how I washed it I said at 40 degrees as the label says and she said "ah yes, but it has two dots under that and so you should have washed it on a delicate cycle and that is why it has gone the way it has" She refused to give me my money back and instead gave me vouchers as in her opinion there was nothing wrong with the top and it was my washing that had caused the problem.
    Have you had this before?
Surely two identical (save for the colour) tops bought in the same shop in the same size should be the same?
Also if it says 40 degrees and you can tumble it and it has 100% cotton underneath this would you stop and think oh yes but it must be put in a delicate wash?
    Am I going insane?
Sorry for rambling on its just that I was totally incensed (sp?) by this and had I not had my three kids with me on my own I would have taken it further
    Hope you can help
    TP
    xxxxxx
    Answer:
That's madness, why don't you write a complaint to customer services?
If i were you i would have kept the top, gone in on another day with a different shop assistant and said you washed it on a delicate 40 degree wash and see what they would have said then ;)
    Answer:
I think you are definitely in the right here. You should have grabbed another one of the red tops off a rack and made her compare those instead heh. I would also be wary and take back the black top, as well as doing what Catwoman said and writing or phoning to take your complaint further.

    Re: B****y MS!
That does sound strange - I always thought MS were meant to be really good about taking stuff back. Maybe they've changed their policy, or the woman you spoke to was having a bad day.
    Answer:
Thanks alot for replying - at least I know now that I wasn't going a bit insane! :o
Thing is I did give back both tops as I was so cross. She gave me vouchers for the red one and cash back for the black one. As I've done it now I'm not sure that I would be able to complain, although the more I think about it the more angry I'm getting
Its not even the money it was her whole attitude - it was so horrid and she was making me out to be so stupid too. I'd be a little worried they'd just back up whatever she said but it was the fact that she was so berluddy rude too.
I think I might draft a letter tonight actually - bad customer service makes me mad. Even if the customer isn't right they shouldn't make you feel so awful about it all :(
Thank you again - I knew I could count on this forum! :)

WTF or is this a new craze????
When i went into bournemouth on saturday i saw lots of girls although admitadily they looked about 14 wearing skirts with what i can describe as short leggings underneth very bizare
today when in town i saw a girl wearing the same thing  again she looked about 16, is this a new craze, or is it something that youngsters maybe even uni people are doing (both towns are full of unis)
    Answer:
LOL i dont understand the look either (probably because i would look like an overfilled sausage in leggins!) I live in bournemouth and go to uni there and it is full of leggings mini skirt combos. At the beginning of the month I went to an...ahem McFly Concert :o ...and 9 out of 10 of the teeny boppers were wearing this!
    Answer:
    I don't really like footless leggings/ skirt combo:o
I know there's a few baggers that can pull this off though - TheBlonde rings a bell for some reason:confused:
    Answer:
So it is the new craze then!!
Have to say i dont like it at all, and wont be following these girls :)
    Answer:
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING will get me wearing short leggings. I think I'd look absolutely ridiculous in them and anyway I have a wobbly bum

    Answer:
I love getting up early to go, but more like 8am rather than 5am! I won't be able to go this time though, as I'm having an op on my toe this afternoon so will be on crutches :( . Too much of a risk that someone will stand on my toe or knock me over!
I'll be constantly pressing redial on my phone, trying to get through instead.
Have my eye on a few things for work and house stuff.
