Paying for an Ebay item
I won something on Ebay on Friday and asked for the person's account details so i could transfer the money into their account - they have not replied yet. How many days do i have to wait before i can give up and buy it off someone else as i need the item ASAP!

Does she accept money transfer? Banks advise against this.
Once you have bought an item you have to pay for it. If you don't you will get negative feedback, of course some people don't mine receiveing negative....

why would banks advise against bank transfers :confused: i see why ebay might but not banks :confused: if you're worried about giving your details i don't see why you'd rather give your home address out for a cheque tbh. the only thing you can do with a bank account number is pay in money unless you know all the rest of the person's details as well.

Did you check what kind of payments she accepts before you won the item?
Usually people take paypal payments cheques, not that many people do bank transfers..
And also, 5 days is the normal limit until you must have made contact or paid.
Same goes for seller I assume?
Unless she's stated that she only accepts paypal payments, then she might be ignoring your e-mail, as she doesn't accept bank transfers?

Just double checked the listing no mention of the marks, I'm really cross as they are just what I wanted I'm not gona be able to return them for about three weeks as I work on a business park can't get to the post office during the week have stuff on for the next couple of weekends. Grr. Haven't contacted the seller yet, had a message from her saying she hoped I like my shoes now I feel mean :(

It doesn't matter how nice she is, you deserve a refund! Just word it politely and say you're disappointed as you really love the shoes, but they are damaged. Would it not be possible to put them in with the post at work and pay them? (Cheeky, but it's what I'd do!) :)

Don't worry about contacting the seller - if she's misdescribing items then she should be aware that you're not going to stand for it!
