Think I've found a top to go with my pencil skirt...

NO.1. Ask :
Think I've found a top to go with my pencil skirt...
...went to Oasis today to return something, found this top and went to the counter to buy it. The assistant asked me if I knew it was 15% off everything for cardholders from 18th to 20th November, so rather than buy it at full price today, she offered to put it aside for me so I could pick it up whilst the 15% offer was on. I thought that was really sweet of her - always excellent service in my local Oasis! I think she knows I'm a regular shopper there!
Anyway, less ramble - the top is on the Oasis website under tops - vests/camis - it's the silk tiered corset for £45, although the pic isn't very good - it looks lighter on the pic than IRL, but it's actually quite black and the sequins are gold. The straps are detachable too.
Hope it goes with my skirt when I try it all on! I thought it would take me ages to find a top - there's so many out there!
Just wanted to share! :)
Answer:
Just been to have look. It is so pretty :) . I like that a lot. That would go lovely with a pencil skirt :)
Answer:
Oh thank you so much - didn't think anyone liked it 'cos I didn't have any replies to my thread! It's even nicer in real life - just hope it's pretty but foxy at the same time!
Answer:
Yes I think it looks really nice and I think you should definitely get it :)
Answer:
It's been put by at my local Oasis - am going to pick it up tomorrow! Thanks again! :)

God I'm so cold lately - right to the bone :(
Are poncho's totally passe? A big warm poncho.....yum.
    Answer:
I dont think anything is passe at the moment - I'd go to work with my duvet wrapped around me if I could - its freeeeeeeezing isnt it??! I heard on the radio that its going to be even colder at the weekend too!
    :xcool:

Ohh I am so cross
*someone* borrowed my digi camera to take loads of pics for their ebay stuff and now when I have gone to use it to do my ebay stuff, the battery is dead and it won't charge up. Its just completely dead.
    Arghhhhhh.:(
    Answer:
bid on all their stuff, then don't pay!!! :cauldron:
    Answer:
Blonde, I learnt the hard way 'never a lender nor a borrower be'.
Might make me a bit of a cow, but I don't damage other people's stuff, and they don't damage mine!
    How frustrating though. :(
    Answer:
I know. I mean I am pretty sure they didn't break it and the battery just died and would have done anyway but its still so annoying when stuff comes back broken.
I never borrow anyone elses stuff either, I lent a bloke in work 3 dvds 9 months ago and he still keeps telling me his wife hasn't had the time to watch them yet. I feel like saying 'well give them back then considering I don't even know her name'
Calm down Blondie, Calm the fook down!
    Answer:
Oh how bloody annoying for you Blonde.
I think I'm going to have to start with the never a borrower or lender be.... love my best mate to bits but lend her anything and it's gone.... 5 years to get my video camera back, then there are endless other things I could really do with, it's not like she would ever steal anything but her life is so chaotic that it all just gets forgotten and lost in the chaos and I end up sounding really anal when I ask for the millionth time for anything back

    Neckerchief
I think that's what they're called. I fancy wearing a scarf around my neck with a white shirt unbuttoned a few buttons, you know like a cowgirl look?
Does anyone know what type/shape of scarf I would need, where I could get one, and most importantly, how do I tie it?
    Thanks!
    Answer:
I think a bandana will do the trick, not sure were you'd get one I'd look in Claire's Accessories or Accessorize to start my search. I love the look but one of the very few things clothes wise that Mr Mouse expresses an opinion on is his loathing scraves round the neck so I don't tend to do it.
    Answer:
Try getting a square scarf from Tie Rack - I have a couple from there and they're ideal for the job. They usually have a good choice of colours/patterns too :)
    Answer:
Gap always have them - usually near the tills.
    Answer:
That's handy coz there is an Accesorize and I think a Tie Rack down the road from me, don't fancy poppin in to central london on the tube right now.
So how do I tie it? Just roll it a bit and tie a knot?

Thermals- where to get and how do they rate
Partly cause we're all complaining about the cold now and partly as an idea for a christmas pressie for my mum...
I'll start by saying i have some thermal leggings which were £10 from Millets. They do keep you warm but are VERY high waisted.
    Answer:
I'd go somewhere like MS or John Lewis.
I don't have any thermal leggings as such - I just wear a thick pair of tights and some plain black leggings underneath plus socks over the top.
I do have two thermal vests though but I tend to layer up in the winter so I don't *need* to wear them regularly anyway - I wear them underneath a going out outfit, where it would look odd to layer up.
    :D
    Answer:
The Helly Hansen thermals range is very good - the tops are about £25 in Millets. Just don't send them to the laundrette to get melted in the drier
I noticed the other day that Asda have started doing thermals, but I'm not sure how they compare.
I'm going to need some for my New Year's Eve in a cave!!
    Answer:
I use MS ones to ski in :yay: They come in black too :yay:
