What are you up to today then?

NO.1. Ask :
What are you up to today then?
Well i've been up since STUPID o'clock, thanks to a baby that wont stop kicking and pressing on my bladder, and a toddler that likes to wake up at 5am
I've already had a toasted bagel with marmite and a bowl of honey and nut bran flakes yum
am off to the post office to return a few things in a bit, and will stay in my juicy-esque black tracksuit, with my black uggs and big chunky red scarf and my big red bloodshot eyes.
then i'll be back home, change into black snuggly longline poloneck, jeans and black uggs tucked in with black coat, black scarf and leopardskin gloves and maybe black baker boy...going for lunch, probably just to waga's, as ruby loves the noodles and is fascinated with chopsticks atm bless her.
this arvo is another kiddies party, so shall be on my hands and knees chasing ruby through tunnels and jumping on bouncy castles, and sneakily pilfering cake when noone's looking :o
tonight nothing exciting but i do love X-Factor and Come Dancing :o An early night i expect  Oh and mr pv is doing steak with goats cheese and asparagus for dinner so at least i dont have to cook - just sit there and dish out orders hahahaha
so, what are you up to today, i can imagine all looking far more glamorous than this rounded bellied lady ! :p
have a good day

Answer:
not long got up,as I didnt finish work until 2am,if I can be bothered,I am off to the gym and then to work at for 3pm.Exciting eh?
Answer:
Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh - I'm insanely jealous that your going for lunch in Wagas - I miss the place so much I'm actually thinking of a day trip to London to do some Christmas shopping and have lunch at Wagas.... Mmmmmmm noodles.....
I've only just got up - I look a complete state and not feeling very well so I won't be doing much today. When I've finished my breakfast I'll be taking my car to the garage to get it booked in for some work next week, then I'll be coming back home to do some work in the upstairs of the house - we're having some building work done and hoping to get it finished before Christmas. Yesterday I emptied our built in wardrobe and it needs stripping out today. Mr Curls is sorting the wiring out in the little room that we're turning into a home office and then it will be ready for new plasterboard and plastering. If I feel a bit better later on, I might go to a few carpet shops to choose the carpet for the office.
Exciting huh?
Oh and the postie just delivered a parcel from Great Plains - I ordered a dress and a cardi - hurray that's vaguely fashion related!
Answer:
Another dead exciting Saturday here ;)
Firstly got to sit down and do some work, basically sticking photos and fabric swtaches onto paper, this morning. Then get dressed and go to work via a shop that sells pink wigs for £8.99, and then come home and do some more work, drawing and designing this time.
At least next weekend i will get to see Mr. Ellie:yay:
PV- Wagas is always good, I am always amazed by some of the young kids in there eating with chopsticks and stuff, they are so much more sophisticated than I was when I was that age!

  • Who is in their 30's and what is your style?

    NO.4. ask :
Who is in their 30's and what is your style?
I've noticed from all the style diary's that I've looked at that you are mostly very young ladies!
I'm sure I can't be the oldest person on here! I'm 34 and I've never really followed fashion as in buy all the latest trends (I gave ponchos and uggs a wide berth and skinny jeans are NEVER going on my legs!)
My style is pretty feminine and classic, with the odd fashion piece mixed in (usually shoes/heres or accessories).
Are there any other 30-something fashion baggers? If so, stand up and be counted and what is your style?
    Mel
    Answer:
I am a 30 year old bagger, and I would say I do pretty much shamelessley follow the trends, though like to think that I adapt them to my own style. I really like finding unusual things, but also worship at the topshop altar quite frequently. In theory I now have more money to spend on quality designer pieces, but invariably haemorrhage my money on things I will wear twice (and then on going out to show them off :o). I do like expensive shoes though. I used to also love bags but now I cycle to work, there's no point, as I have to wear a rucksack (that was free with my tent in argos - tres stylish ;) )
At the moment, I am loving short shorts, ankle boots, the secretary look, opaque tights, my cape, my flat boots, and of course drainpipes and the beatnik look.
People at work do say that I get away with things other people couldn't, and I am sure it isn't always a compliment but I take it as one regardless. I think because I am small, it helps with getting away with wearing slightly overly trendy or glam things.
My favourite shops are Topshop, HM, All Saints, Absolute Vintage, and Diverse.
I would never go in Next, Jane Norman, Oasis, Karen Millen etc.
I have to say that so far I love being 30!!
    Answer:
I am 33. I don't tend to do high fashion stuff these days - but I will work a key piece from the season into my wardrobe - for example I have a victorian shirt that I like to wear with jeans and heels for going out.
I tend to be casual most of the time, and after a brief period of losing my style in my late 20s, I think I am comfortable with my style now. I prefer quality over quantity these days. I especially like to spend on things that I expect to last a couple of seasons like shoes, bags and coats.
I'm really loving the Rick Owen style knitwear that's around at the moment - I love this look and wore a skirt version of an outfit like this yesterday in browns and olives:
    Answer:
    I'm 32! And I do like to follow the trends ! :D
    Answer:
I'm 36 and like Curls don't do majorly high fashion but I do follow trends (yes I am wearing skinny jeans!) and mix it with a classic style. If I could steal anyone's wardrobe and wear what she does it would be Trinny Woodall (most of the time anyway). I've got a lot more choosy over fabrics and quality of stuff since I've got older, I like quality over quantity these days.
ETA That pic Curls posted is also very much my kind of thing.
