A bit too 70s throwback?

Cheap UGG Boots
NO.2. ask :
Cheap UGG Boots
Looking to buy some tall UGG Boots - where is the cheapest place to buy them from online and instore?
xx
Answer:
I want (need!) some too, was looking at some on ebay before for about £90, might be cheaper to order from america or australia but obviously more hassle!
Answer:
I ordered mine form www.hartings.co.nz which is in NZ and it wasn't any more hassle than ordering form ebay or somewhere in the UK.
Answer:
I just this minute bought a pair of tall plain chestnut UGGS (and some slippers :o ) from www.uggstore.com.au
The boots were about 64 quid and the slippers were 14, and the shipping brought the total up to just under 100 quid (I went for the fastest possible cos it's cold and I want these booties dammit!!) :yay:
Answer:
Wasn't there a thread about Uggs being available in Matalan stores for about £50?
Spectacle wearers
NO.3. ask :
Spectacle wearers
Are you comfortable with wearing your specs? Do you wear them as part of your 'look' or because you need them?
I am still not comfortable with wearing my specs even though they look good - I just need to get confident in them!
Answer:
I have three pairs of specs and choose them each day to go with my outfit, they all make me feel different - although I still have days when I go without and end up squinting at everyone.
Answer:
No, I hate wearing mine!
Answer:
I need my specs - I've just had some new ones actually and (apparently) they really suit me. So i'm feeling reasonably comfortable in them.
I spent ages choosing them though - went in lots of different shops and tried on lots and lots of different styles.
I'm not sure how I would feel if I had to wear them all the time (which, no doubt, one day I will have to).
Answer:
I only wear my at home (wear them out when very tired or hungover).
I don't ever want to be "someone who wears glasses". I dont mind being someone who sometimes wears glasses though!! Weird I know.
I love my contacts!!
Off the shoulder tops
NO.4. ask :
Off the shoulder tops
Has anyone seen any nice ones in the shops lately? Only ones I've seen are jumpers and I was after a top - one suitable for day wear that could be glammed up for the night.
I know it's quite a "needle in haystack" question but I've had no luck lately at all. Any ideas? Or ideas of places to look?
Thank you!
Nipper
Answer:
River Island have an 'Oversized Jumper' which hangs off the shoulder. Is on their website, I find it casual but can also be dressed up as they used as part of the collection pics, worn with a skinny sequin scarf and it looked good.
Answer:
Warehouse have a pale grey off the shoulder jumper which looks lovely!
Answer:
I've seen some nice Morgan ones. :)
Answer:
Hey thanks everyone. I shall have a look - actually I haven't tried Morgan at all so will check it out.
Woo hoo! Sexy and feminine yet casual here I come!
Trendy Summer Hat
NO.5. ask :
Trendy Summer Hat
My 11 (going on 25) year old daughter is soon to be going to the South France to stay with family for a month and I'm mentally preparing all the clothes she'll need to take. When she normally goes, I just pop in a couple of baseball/normal sun hats and I know that she will wear them.
However this year, she's become a lot more fashion conscious (berluddy media :( ) and unfortunately everytime I've shown her hats that I think would be suitable I've been rewarded with an imitation of this smilie   and her telling me she is not five
Could anyone point me in the right direction where there is a choice of trendy-ish sun hats that will provide enough coverage and keep her happy
Hope someone can help
Jules xxxxxxxxxx
Answer:
A straw hat? Especially if she can funk it up with some fun ribbons/badges/charms? I think they're sort of fashionable every year, although I haven't seen many around this year. Alternatively, does she have any suggestions??
Accessorise would probably be a good place to start.
g_k
Answer:
Thanks G_K, she just read post with me and has now expressed an interest in the hats Mary-Kate and Ashley wear, sort of like the bucket ones, am not sure about head size though. I'll just go and google/ebay it.
