i want to dye a leather bag...
I have a leather bag and although i love the style, size etc but I'd like to dye it black.
At the moment it's ivory and tan...
Any suggestions?!

I think a lot of people have spray painted their shoes rather than dye them but it can peel and i think it would peel even more so on a bag.
Hopefully someone should come along with a dying solution :)

i have dyed plenty of boots and shoes etc, but never bags. i think the dye only tends to crack if you apply it too thickly, or apply too many coats. i just use the dye the sell at simpsons etc, no idea what make it is though, but they will advise you in the shop.

I saw a rather nice version of the aforementioned jacket in a charity shop and was tempted. I didn't get it though because I couldn't think what on earth to wear it with - anyone have any suggestions? I don't generally do blue much (apart from denim) so have no experience with it!

I have (surprise! :rolleyes: and yes! I have a Huuuge wardrobe!), anyway as I was saying, I have a royal blue velvet skirt suit which I mainly wear during A/W with the following colours:
White,Pale pink, pale blue/strippy shirts for work
Cream polo necks
Beige polo necks
Shirts/t-shirts and jeans and cowboy boots (jacket only)
It basically goes with (imho): beiges, whites, creams, pale blues, pale pinks and obviously denim!
Not a lot of variety but I do like blue velvet as it is such rich and chic colour/material.
(one time wore it and heard someone singing “she wore blue velveeeeet“as in the movie!!!:eek: )
Try it on to see if it goes with your complexion if at all possible! ;)

I might nip back and grab it tomorrow then. I wondered vaguely about pairing it with other jewel colours - emerald green, deep purple and so on, or even burnt orange?? Or am I totally barking!?

But I'm looking for a purse LIKE the Marc Jacobs purse that is everywhere at the mo. (the one which is about 10 inches long with two little pockets on the front and costs nearly £300!!)
Obviously I'd love a real one but £300 is a tad too much for a purse! ;)
(but if I can't find one I may have to get DH to get me the real one for Chrimbo!! ;) )

I have that bag!!! Well, a very good copy! Just got another one for mum-in-law to be too.
I LOVE it. Honest, I really do love it. I use it everyday even though I brought it to use as a clutch bag.

You'll need to file a Non-Performing Seller complaint, though it won't get them kicked off of Ebay immediately unless they've had loads filed against them.
