What coat to wear with Uggs?
Hi everyone,
What sort of coat/jacket do you all wear with Ugg style boots? I've only got smart-ish lwool coats and a short black leather jacket.....I don't think the coats will go at all, and the leather jacket is not going to be warm enough when it gets really cold.
If anyone can recommend me a coat or jacket that won't look stupid with my new Uggs, I'd be v. grateful!
Thanks! :-)
A v. clueless Toni
Answer:
I've been wearing mine with jeans and a cord blazer with chunky scarf to keep my neck warm :)
Answer:
i wear mine with my lovely red knee length wool coat - im past the point of caring if they match, its too bloody cold! I dont think it looks too bad though! i also have a nice blazer that i wear with it when its not too cold, give it a whirl with a scarf like catwoman said
Answer:
Either casual or smart coats but always something with a bit of weight and/or texture.
Something that counterbalances the uggy-chunkiness.
Ok, so re: skinny jeans???
NO.2. ask :
Ok, so re: skinny jeans???
Yes, well I had to didn't I  ;)
I had been thinking about getting some skiinies for some time, as I felt incredibly un-fashionable with "normal" jeans :boohoo:
So ignoring my huge belly (full of baby I might add  ) I went to New Look, to see if I could actually get into a pair (albeit a bigger size than usual).
I am normally size 10, so took a size 12 14 dark grey/black skinnes in and they were both so low cut that they sit under said belly, hurrah hurrah :whoop:
Aaaanyway, my question is: would you ever consider cutting a pair of skinny jeans off at the bottom so you wouldn't have to stuff so much into your boots/
I am considering this, as I seriously doubt I will EVER wear them without boots over the top (at leats not untill baby is here and I'm back to having a normally proportioned body again).
Would I be silly to cut a brand new pair of jeans off, and has anyone done or considered doing this???
:uzzle: :D
Answer:
It depends on how much you paid for them I suppose.
If it wasn't a lot (to you) and you can afford to buy another pair should you choose to wear them uncut, then go for it.
I wish I was able to tuck my jeans into boots, but it just makes my legs look like a pair of Turkey Drummers :(
Answer:
Hurrah for New Look skinnies again! Have these and love them!:yay:
If you feel the need to cut them off do it! I turn mine up for tucking into boots so they sit flatter but if i knew i wasn't going to wear them with normal shoes and thought they would be better cut i would cut them :)
Answer:
Yes, I'd consider it.
I'm not buying skinny jeans as I have the wrong body shape for them - I'd have to wear quite chunky boots to balance me out and be absolutely certain the boots wouldn't have to come off at some point!
Instead, as well as the bootlegs stuffed in socks to minimise the bulk option, I'm also wearing my cropped jeans from summer. They can go outside the boot with a turnup and they compress very nicely into the boots too.
Course, I'm going to look even more stupid if I have to take boots off revealing cropped jeans in the winter.
With socks.
Kind of 'Bay City Roller' look.
Answer:
Well they were £25 which is nothing, really..
I doubt they'd go inside my boots if they were folded (read, even more bulk), so I think I will cut them.
Now the problem is how much do I cut off.?!?!
I have both Uggs mid calf lenght and knee high leather boots, and can you imagine I cut too much off, and the jeans crept out of the UGG's

*please Help*Pink Sparkly Shoes In The Style Of Jordan
Hi all...I have been searching high and low for pink sparkly shoes, just like the red ones posted on here some weeks ago, but in pink. Jordan wore some for her wedding, they are like pink glittery high heeled court shoes. It did feature them in a magazine about a month ago and said where you could get them, but before I realised I really wanted these shoes, I stupidly threw the magazine away, and am absolutely gutted. I really need these for my work Christmas party, so please if anybody could help or advise me I would be very very grateful. Mucho gracias in advance, Nic x:)
Answer:
i know new look had some of these shoes but i cant remember whether they were in pink however it may be worth popping in and checking :)
Answer:
Okie dokie, thanks a lot, I will check out New Look when I next go, but in the meantime, anybody know anywhere else please? You won't believe how desperate I am for these shoes!! LOL :)
Answer:
did you try ebay?
Answer:

Suede protector?? (Yes, another 'Ugg' related thread!)
NO.5. ask :
Suede protector?? (Yes, another 'Ugg' related thread!)
Hi
I'm going to be getting some Uggs for Christmas just wondered if anyone had used a suede protector (e.g. a spray or something) on them that would stop them from getting dirty. I had a pair of Ugg 'style' boots they got really mucky so I used a suede cleaner then brushed the suede afterwards but it ruined them now there's greyish stains all over them. I don't want this to happen to my Uggs because they're so much more expensive so if anyone could help then I would be really grateful.
Thanks,
Lisa xxx
(P.S. Sorry for starting yet another thread about Uggs!)
Answer:
I've ordered some boots from Celtic Sheepskin - the deciding factor for me was the fact that they are machine washable on a wool cycle. I live in the country so I know my boots will get filthy even if I just walk round to the in-laws so I didn't want something that was delicate. Are real Uggs more delicate then?
Answer:
Two coats of protector will help.
Also get yourself a Crepe brush for gently cleaning bringing up the nap.
Answer:
Will the protector stain the boots like it did to the other ones I had? Also should I brush hard with this Crepe brush or just gently?
Lisa xx
Answer:
Gently brush, and Protector may well darken the suede. Spray from a distance to get a fine mist and it might not be as noticeable.
