NO.2. ask :
It's snowing!!
Mr BB came running back upstairs like a little kid this morning, to wake me up and show me the snow!
It's so bewdiful, I like the cold when there's something to show for it :yay:
Anyone else having a white friday?
Answer:
Where are you? No snow here in Nottingham yet, I love snow also but I have to travel to London today so I hope we don't get any.
Answer:
Lincolnshire coast!
Answer:
Ah, the east coast was set to get it! Can you keep it there for a bit please?!
Answer:
I sure hope so! It keeps flurrying. We're meant to be going for a walk in the wolds tomorrow - it would be so beautiful if it was still snowy :heartpop:
Sorry paypal Q! How do U get funds from paypal to my A/C?
NO.3. ask :
Sorry paypal Q! How do U get funds from paypal to my A/C?
Title says it all really- if people pay me by paypal for ebay stuff, how do I get it into my account? Or does it just sit in paypal waiting for me to use it?!
Answer:
I'm saying this from what i remember as it's been such a long time....
Press withdraw once in paypal, it should then ask you to add a bank account. Do that and then you should be able to transfer it :)
Answer:
Ah right, that seems simple enough! I'll give it a go. Don't actually have any funds yet though because the winner hasn't paid!
How much does it cost to receive funds do you know?
Answer:
If they don't pay buy credit card nothing but if someone pays using credit card you have to accept something which says they take a percentage on all received payments from then on.
It's only something like 3.4% though :)
Answer:
20p + 3.4% per payment recieved.
Our accents on here!
NO.4. ask :
Our accents on here!
This may be a strange thing to say but when I read everyone's posts I forget that we all come from far and wide and that we've all got different accents. Obviously when writing, accents alot of the time don't show, not unless you come out with a particular phrase. It's funny as I pick up alot on the Irish baggers phrases as one of my best friends comes from Belfast and says similar things.
For instance I've got quite a strong London accent, :o I've lived here all my life (well apart from a year out in Tenerife :beach: ) so I'm a bit of a cockney (o/t Is that you are a cockineee sparrow? - ala Catherine Tate:lol: )
Just wondered if anyone else has thought this or am I having a strange Friday morning moment?!!
Answer:
Good thinking!
I don't really think of accents myself on the boards but i will be now if everyone starts saying what accents they have!:p
I'm a mixture of a tiny bit of as my friend's would call it, posh (usually when nervous or speaking on the phone, god knows why???!!!). Little bit of brummie (Not black country accent though, brummie accent!) and some london accent that i seem to have aquired from OH as he's from Norf Lannnnnndan :D
Answer:
Is he Arsenal or Tottenham CiC?:p
I can do posh too when I'm at work. If I'm nervous though my accent gets even stronger and I end up sounding like Patsy Palmer :o Talking of Eastenders my nickname when I worked in Tenerife was Tiff as people thought I sounded and looked like Martine McCutcheon :o ::eek:
Answer:
Well I'm from oop noorf, but insist upon pronouncing my words properly (innit?) so often get told I have a posh accent  it's nothing compared to my lovely soft little southern boy's though :p
Answer:
YIDO YIDO YIDO!!!! Spurs of course! Can't be doing with that Arsenal scum :D:p
It's funny how accents change when you are nervous isn't it? I'm thinking in my head "for gods sake CiC talk like you usually do!" :o
Black HM Tulip Skirt
NO.5. ask :
Black HM Tulip Skirt
Hello,
I've been obsessed with getting my mitts on one of these since they came out, but now I have one I am not really sure what to wear it with. I think some other people have it so I was hoping for some suggestions - I can't afford to go out and buy stuff just to wear with it, so I'm a bit stuck.
Mimi xx
Answer:
Morning Mimi
I would wear it with a black polo neck for work, or with my black lacey victorian UO blouse...
I think it could look cool with opaques and ankle boots.
You could wear it out with a long vest top and maybe a belt round your waist, though not sure of how that would work with the waistband..
I am not auctioning mine - it's been added to the pile of stuff to go back. Next week I am sorting my wardrobe out!
O/T we have one watcher on out Ebay auction - did you see it?
Answer:
I'd wear it with something very fitted and sleek on the top - like a vest, poloneck or a wide boat or scoop neck. Although you could wear a fitted top with a tiny bit of puff like little puffed sleeves or a cowl neck...just so long as the torso is very fitted.
I tried on the gold threaded tweed tulip skirt in HM a few months ago and was desperate to buy it but mr elliecat couldn't get his head around the fact that just because the skirt is big it didn't mean it was all my own arse in there.
Answer:
Not much help really, but I tried this on and it made my bum look huge! Such a shame since I think it was a really lovely shape. I think a poloneck would be lovely, as would a shirt tucked in with a big belt.
xx
Answer:
Is it the one with gold thread going through it? I really liked it when I saw it to but my main doubt was what footwear would go with it.
Agree with LizzieB it would looked good with a very simple black poloneck.
The camisole tops they had it paired with in store didn't really go that well IMO
