Piercings and tattoos.. so nineties?

NO.1. Ask :
Piercings and tattoos.. so nineties?
I tend to think that both are rather passe' nowadays, its more unusual not to be tattooed! piercing seemed really edgy in the 1990's but now you're considered weird if you dont have your lip/ tongue/ clitoris/ nipple/ pierced.
Doesn't mean im not still tempted though, posibly tongue and / or tragus but i feel at 28 i may look silly, and as if im jumping on a very old fashion bandwagon???
Answer:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE piercings. I don't like excessive amounts, but little bits here and there. I have my ears done loads, and I'm getting my lip done soon. I think it sort of goes with my dress and music taste though. But on men it's  :faint:
I dont think piercings are passé at all. Unlike tattoos, they can be gotten rid of. xx
Answer:
I have 6 altogether, ears done twice, nose, belly button, and tongue done twice.
I've since taken out my nose, belly button and one tongue bar, so only wear earrings and one tongue bar. I don't particularly think they're passe, I had mine done because I like body art :meh: They're part of me now, I forget about them even being there most of the time.
xx
Answer:
I got my noce pierced at 16, and about a yr later EVERYONE had it done  I was so disgusted at not being unique that i took it out and i was left with a scar which looks like a giant blackhead for my troubles :(
Answer:
Certainly both are more common than they used to be, especially some piercings eg. tongue, bellybutton and certain tattoos eg. base of back, tribal designs. However I wouldnt go as far as saying you are considered weird if you're not pierced or tattooed.
I am pierced but I know that when I am about 28 I will probably have taken my piercings out (other than of course my ears) as I just dont think they suit older women so well, unlike older men, for some reason. Same with tattoos, which is why I'd never get one done that was on display.

    Answer:
I can't say I've seen it instore myself, but think others have said it's £15.
At least the seller is being honest and stating it's from Primark. LOL at the way she said 'as seen on everyone'!!
    Answer:
I could be wrong but i'm sure £15-16 was mentioned.
    It's a lovely jacket!

For three months only I gather....
They had some really lovely stuff there but not a huge choice. The place was jammed!!!!
Celine isn't open yet though :(.
My shopping companion (who shall remain nameless  ) bought a lovely bag, while I managed to resist :boohoo: some lovely boots, reduced to £350, but still I reckoned a bit pointy and a bit high for doing the mummy schlep thing.
I may live to regret it  but feeling very virtuous right now .
STILL, managed to find two nice things at Pringle and Whistles, so not all wasnost!!!!
Oh feck, and I've just now remembered I wanted to go back to the North Face to get a polar fleece. Can't have wanted it that much then.....
    Minky
    Answer:
I wonder who your companion was??
And I do believe that it's actually only open for TWO months
I may live to regret it
Hon, even I regret you not buying them. They were absolutely DIVINE and were actually only £315 so where a total steal for JC boots.
I only wish that I could have afforded the boots as well as the new bag!! (have been very good and kept it in the bag so that DH can give it to me for Christmas ;) )
Everyone get yourself down to Bicester NOW!!!
Also managed to sneak in a lovely pair of trousers from Ralph Lauren, a skirt from Jigsaw and an Ipod docking station and headphones for DH from Bose for Christmas ;)
    Am now totally brassic!!
    katkinn
    xx
    Answer:
Jimmy Choo is indeed open for 2 months only. This is because JC refuse to stock Bicester longer than that as they know that their London stores will still sell for full price.
The manageress said that ther was a queue of 50 people waiting to get in when it opened.
I went on the Saturday morning and I was the only one in there. I thought therewas quite a lot of choice with most court shoes reduced to £160 and boots at £320
    Answer:
    Good girls

Galaxy copies (good ones at that) all over Liverpool market for £25 - it was only a matter of time!
    Answer:
    Muchos LOL.
They'll be perfect accessorised with bare blue flesh running through the fountains on Saturday night.
    Answer:
I've always said as soon as I see them in the indoor market thats when I know its all over. I must admit they were quick this time but it so takes the shine off for all the people who got a TS one. Bloody chavs - is nothing sacred?
    Answer:
I daresay all* the people who bought the Roland Mouret were saying the same thing about the TS version.
*I have no idea whether anyone does buy these "it" dresses or whether the same three copies are just circulated between PRs until they trickle down past Victoria Beckham and are thrown to the Z list.... ie. as prizes for the bar-dash at the Take A Break Magazine TV Soap Awards Extravaganza.
Sorry, don't know where I was there. Digression.

Well, they sold out within about an hour on NAP.
It's a shame. They are beautifully shaped dresses but got way over-exposed. I don't think I'd wear to a party (or buy it to start with) now for fear of everyone else wearing it.
