Beautiful Size 16+ Coats?
Hi,
Its a long shot but i am looking for a new work coat. It has to cover the odd suit but mainly im looking for something like a frock coat/fitted rather than anything shapeless because im a size 14-16 and busty
Have tried Marks : bit shapeless and funny calf length
Hobbs : too small
Oasis : too small
Plus im dark skinned and i think black is similar but friends say it doesnt do anything for me colour wise - what do people thing about slimming vs good colour!
Any ideas on good stores?

Hi All,
My o/h has just bought me a gorgeous black maxi skirt from Zara (lace sequins on, kind of gypsy ish)
I love it but it is not something I would normally wear.....what on earth do I wear on the top half!?

Answer:
I wear mine with a thick strapped vest top and a shrug if it's cold :)
Answer:
I like the shug idea, but would it be too much black?
I was thinking of a white fitted vest top, but that's not very adventurous....
Answer:
Maybe go for a black vest top and a coloured shrug, maybe green or beige for example? :)
Answer:
Ok, cool, like that idea. What about accessories / shoes (seriously, I have no clue)
Anyone noticed Tesco ads...

...for theit clothes? The girl on the right is wearing boots that look spookily like these babies by Chloe (see pic below). I wonder if they actually exist irl or if they are destined to go the same way as their 'Balenciaga' coat did
Answer:
I noticed that earlier this evening, I have NEVER, ever seen any of the tesco things that are featured in mags in my local store, only polyester 'office party' tops and beige coloured slingbacks.
Answer:
It's all a bit myth designed to drive you :loopy:
Answer:
I did get a couple of their Cashmere jumpers , which are very nice!
Answer:
They've got them in my Tesco but they look nothing like that in real life, I guarantee you'd be disappointed if you saw them.
Things you wouldn't wear (again)

Things you wouldn't wear (again)
Just reading this old thread about things we would never wear:
and about half the stuff on the list I now have in my wardrobe :o I now have a pair of Uggs, skinny jeans and tweed. I can't believe how much my style has changed this last year. Do you still stand by the things you said in this thread or has your style changed too? I think this forum has significantly affected my style :D
I still stand by the fact that I would never wear sportswear as fashion :p
Answer:
 :o
*ahem* well obviously umm not anymore..
what was that thread where someone saw a girl in the supermarket wearing a burberry thong over her jeans? :faint:  :D
Answer:
LOL at your skinnies and uggs Curls! I think mine hasn't changed...
I wear jeans (and trousers) with dresses over and jeans tucked into boots :yay:
Would never wear:
Mini skirts
Logo'd anything
Anything revealing too much flesh
Anything meant for young people!
Anything very high fashion
Slouchy boot things
Answer:
-- Skinny fit jeans without a dress over the top to hide my bum
-- Shorts
-- Dungarees or those jumpsuit things that were around a couple of years ago
-- Baby doll tops. I love them, but they make look about three months pregnant
Hmm, things have changed for me a bit...
-- I will wear skinny fit jeans without a dress over the top, but only with long boots
-- I do wear shorts now (and short ones at that) but (a) I'm more confident these days and (b) my legs are currently in better shape than when I posted that thread; am trying to enjoy it while it lasts!
But I still can't wear babydoll tops...
g_k
