I ordered this bag...
...yesterday (on the French site) and today it's sold out!
I don't like the flipping Redoute too much normally but I'm quite chuffed as it was 52 euros (35 pounds?)
Antik Batik Bag
Even more chuffed, cos, don't laugh but a bird pooed on my black bag the other day, whilst I've cleaned and nuked the bacteria, I won't ever be able to use it again/look at it in the same light (well it's my excuse anyway)

That is lovely, I adore big slouchy bags! La Redoute is good for bag quality in my experience too - I have 3 leather ones from them :)

Thanks Rosali, it's my first redoute bag but I'm quite pleased, should get it on monday
Does it show I'm already think autumn/winter bags here hehe

OMG Earnest Sewn straight leg and drainpipe jeans

OMG Earnest Sewn straight leg and drainpipe jeans
I tried on both of these in Harvey Nics today and whoever made them deserves a Nobel Prize - I never thought that it was possible for a short-legged, chunky- thighed me to put on a pair of drainpipes or skinny, straight leg jeans and not want to kill (or at least startve for a few months) myself  Ladies, they are beautiful and are worth every single penny.
I deliberated for a while and in the end chose the straight leg indigo Deccas for tucking into boots. The denim is beautifuly soft and velvety, the cut is divine. The drainpipes were great too but I didn't like the fabric or the cut as much (still bloody brilliant though) plue they were a whole £10 more expensive  :D
So if any of you are looking for a pair of either then I would seriously urge to try these, especially, if like me you don't have the figure that looks great in any old pair of jeans.
And while we are on the subject - my True Religion Billys arrived and they are fantastic too. Tried a couple of skinny pairs in Gap and wasn't impressed but then I didn't really expect to like them.

Well Done Loony!
I tried on some skinny jeans today - they were Lee Xline Norma's. they were ok but the pockets were a bit too long so made my bum look droopy. :(
However it has fuelled my fire for getting a pair of skinny jeans. Can I ask how the sizing is on Earnest Sewn? Say compared to FAMKs?
Also, do you know the style name of the drainpipe jeans?
Thanks
Axx
Answer:
Brilliant LP!
I'm glad your True Religions were OK too.
Ididn't win the TR Bobbys I had my eyes on, I was outbid by a whole 51 cents gr, some proxy someone had put
It's great you got some decent straight legs though
Answer:
Arnie, I found the sizing to be bang on, I got my usual size 28s. Unfortunately don't remember the name of the drainpipes but it was very similar to "harlot" or something
 :D
Kumquat, that's shame about you Bobbys:( Have you tried using auction sniper?
This has done no favourts to my jeans addiction though :o I'm now wondering what the rest of ES jeans are like.
Answer:
LP, I did use autionsniper but their bid was higher, lol
To be fair, I hesitated between them and some Yanuk Worker BFs, then decided I didn't like the huge back pockets on the BFs and only half heartedly bid on the TRs anyway
I still have no jeans and am none the wiser as to which to get *sigh*
Yours sound great, I'm prolly going to look into some tucking in jobs instaed for now

Long shot but does anyone not want their Elle magazine flip flops?
Hey everyone. I know this is a bit of a long shot but I'm wondering if anyone might want their Elle magazine flip flops taken off their hands? I'm really desperate for them and I can't find any anywhere near me :( I'd of course be willing to pay for them plus pp. I'm after the silver or gold ones in size M/L. Many thanks.

Answer:
Im beginning to think they dont even make the silver or gold ones in m/l. Ive looked in every newsagents I could get to near me and tescos and sainsburys and 3 whsmiths and all I can find are s/m. That or everyone that reads elle has big feet.
WANTED: a decent pair of flared jeans!!
NO.4. ask :
WANTED: a decent pair of flared jeans!!
Hi,
Well, the title says it all really! I'm looking for a pair of jeans which are low-rise, tight fitting round the bum and slim thigh, but kick out nicely at the knee - tbh, bootcut just are not really cutting it!
Any recs? I can't seem to find a decent pair anywhere! they are either flared, but pretty baggy round the thigh/bum, thus making me look about 12(!) or just bootcut, which I already have plenty of.
Thanks in advance!

Answer:
HM Divided. The fit is fab, washes are fab, price is fab!
Answer:
What's your budget? High street - try Oasis - they have some great styles at the moment. I bought some straight legs that are fitted round the bum and thigh and then go straight down from the knee - much better than bootcut. High end - something like 7FAMK Flares would be good.
Answer:
Thanks for all your great suggestions!
I've tried HM jeans before, and to be honest found they don't seem to fit my shape very well, although have a new store opening next week near me, so hopefully they will have a better range than before!
I've got a couple of pairs of 7famk's, and find their fit around the bum and thighs great, but the only styles I seem to have found are more of a bootcut fit? I'm after a pair which are flared enough to cover most of my trainers, just for a very casual look. Will definitly hunt out oasis though - have never even tried a pair of their jeans on! :o
If I find a perfect fit, I dont mind paying highend prices, although as this pair is only intended for casual use, I would prefer something a bit cheaper!
Thanks - think a major shopping trip and trying on session is needed!

Opinions on these...

Opinions on these...
Starting to consider autumn clothes, not sure which of these two go for:
I like the style of both but not sure if they'll suit my shape. I'm a size 10 but quite busty at 34C (not huge but on my frame they stand out more
:o ). Also have quite broad shoulders. Any opinions on the tops and do you think they'd suit my build? Thanx x
Answer:
I'm not sure about the first one. I think I would like it more in real life. It does look quite victorian though I guess, which will be big in A/W.
Really like the second one and I would have thought the low front would be quite flattering if you're busty (know how that feels  )! Is it cropped length?
SFK x
Answer:
I really like the first one though I would prefer it if it wasn't black, not so keen on the second, I don't like that double button thing, I like the colour but i'm not sure if it would sit that well if you're busty, I would feel like my chest is exposed.
The first one is lovely
Answer:
I love the first one, but agree with Kumquat about the colour; I think the combination of black and the Victorian sleeves makes it a bit over-dramatic, but thats just me, some people could carry it off.
The 2nd one is cute, it would, i think, emphasize your chest, but who cares if it looks good :)
Answer:
I do prefer the black top to the green and love its OTT-ness! I would dress it down a bit with jeans and a cami/vest. The green one is nice but the double button thing is a turn off, and the deep v will probably bring attention to the booby area which I'm not keen on as i'm not happy with my breast size. Though it is such a cute cardi! Aaaargh!
