Is there going to be a Primark on Oxford St?
Hey all you primark fans!
My nearest primark is in a high street full of chavs and the store is really rammed pack so i don't go there much!
Was just wondering if anyone knows if there is going to be one opening on Oxford Street in the near future? :)
I hope so cos i feel like im missing out on all these bargains i keep hearing about!
(I just hope the prices dont sky rocket because the shop is becoming so popular :( )
Answer:
I'm hoping they'll move into the the old Alders, there was a rumour they'd bought it. I hope so as I don't have a local one either so have never been in one IN MY LIFE!!!
The horrors of the Next sale
NO.2. ask :
The horrors of the Next sale
Warning: This contains a rant!
I endured the Next sale yesterday and was really pleased to find three pairs of jeans and a bag. When I went to pay for them the total I was told was a lot higher then I thought, queried this with the girl, who got her collegue to check. I was told the total was correct. Huge queue of people behind me and I ended up just paying and leaving.
Got home and checked the recipt and one pair had gone through full price. The other two were £26.99 full price but had gone through as £17.99, will as the tag suggested it was half price or less sale therefore I would expect the price to be under £13.49 each. GRR. Am going back into town to complain, that would make it £24 that the had over charged me.
Answer:
Trading standards state that if an item is marked up at a lower price than they should be they MUST charge you the lower price, whether that's a fixed figure or a tag saying 'half price'. I used to work in customer services at Asda and I know it inside out ;) It's the same everywhere so go in and DEMAND your money or threaten to write to trading standards.
Answer:
Did it not ahve the marked down price on each of the items? I would definitely go back and query it. It does sound like they have charged you far too much. I bet the assistants were too busy to check properly. When are you going back in, today?
Answer:
Well I went to Next this afternoon showed them the jeans. Was told that the jeans priced at full price should not have been in the sale. Then they said that they must have been put out accidentally as a one off. Pointed out that there were many pairs of the same jeans and they said sorry they are not in the sale. Argued for a bit but there was three of them and eventually I asked for a full refund skulked out of the store. Thing is I know my rights yet I still get intimidated and leave. I'm so cross that I can't stand up to them. Its not the first time this has happened to me. *Sigh*

Which TS boots?
NO.4. ask :
Which TS boots?
OK I am now officially obsessed with the TS pirate (buckle) boots. But the usual dilemma arises: which colour?
I am stuck between the grey and the camel (with contrasting mid-brown buckles). Which should I buy?
Ooh and if anyone fancies throwing a spanner in the works by making a case for the other brown slouchy boots (with ribbony straps) or red ankle boots, feel free! I am not entirely persuaded away from those either!
Answer:
You're going to hate me  but...
Get a pair of pirate boots *and* the red suede ankle boots because you so clearly will need a knee length pair and an ankle length pair!! I'd go with the black ones myself but that's personal preference. I seriously think those red boots are gorgeous and they're the first thing on my list when I get my first paycheck. :fingers: they don't sell out :cmeek:
However, the brown strappy ones are that little bit more classic for me, so if you wanted something less obviously a/w 2005 (and possibly more versatile) you could go with those as the knee-high option instead.
Incidentally, Miss Selfridge have black buckled pirate wedge knee high boots for £75.
g_k
Answer:
You're damn right I hate you!
One pair at a time, I'm afraid...
I agree the red ones are lush, I just think they'd go with less, obviously!
Unfort I am not a fan of wedge boots, otherwise I'd snap up the more reasonable £75 pair!
Thanks for the advice, as usual, g_k!
Answer:
I've had the tan buckle ones for a while, they are on my blog I think. The have gone more slouchy now than when I first go them so you need to take that into consideration
Answer:
Do you prefer the tan ones to the grey ones then Blonde?
Lint Shaver - where to buy?
NO.5. ask :
Lint Shaver - where to buy?
Hi,
Does anyone know where i can buy a lint shaver (i think thats what its called) to remove the bobbly bits off jumpers.
I don't really want to buy online as i'm hoping to pick one up tomorrow. What kind of stores stock them, i'm a bit stuck for ideas.
I live in cardff btw.
Thanks
Answer:
They have roller ones in Lakeland or the battery powered remington style ones in Index - if you can find a store that hasn't closed down yet... Not sure if Argos do them, I don't think they do.
Answer:
Hennes do the roller ones for 99p. They're usually by the tills.
Answer:
Got mine from sainsburys - think Woolworths do them too.
