cinderella shoes
ok, so this is the cinderella dilemna in reverse but!
my lovely slingbacks arrived today, but I'm a bit disappointed... they're a bit too big at the back and won't hold my foot :(
they're leather; do you think a cobbler could bring them in? or should I have a go myself (I'm fairly nifty with a needle)?

They are not really my kind of cinderella shoes, but if you love them try to either exchange them for a smaller size or go to a cobbler for a professional re-adjusting...:(

I'd guess large (though I confess to not bothering with the trousers. I struggle with Reiss sizing, I went to buy one of their very lush coats and found that the Small size was huge on me and there was no way I could wear it (i'm 5ft1 and size 8-ish)

Yeah, i love Reiss skirts, but their size 8 is more like a 12 :( I'd guess the trousers would be similar (although i've tried on dresses there that are reasonably sized).

Actually...I tried some trousers on the other day - some were fine, and the others a bit small - all the same size obviously...hopefully that will make you feel better!

Hi ladies, this is very off topic but Fashion is my here home and I felt more comfortable posting here. I'm going through a difficult break up with my boyfriend of 3 years. I'm going out in a bit and want to pick up some stuff to cheer me up and help pass the time till I feel better. Not sure what to really do but keep busy or try to do something,. I just really want to keep my mind of it as at the moment I really hurt and my contract at work has finished so have even more time on my hands. Any rec's for a 'break up kit'? Thanx x

I broke up with my BF of 2 and a half years about a month ago and we are halfway through the last two months of our lease with another month to go, so although we are not together we are still living together!
I've been going out a lot, checking here.com even more and doing all the girly things i never felt i could with him, watching crap 80's films, entire seasons of sex and the city back to back, listening to cheesy music, doing yoga in the front room.
Feel free to PM me if you want, i'm going through a very similar thing i think and its rubbish and the one thing that seems to help most is talking about it.

Aw big hugs to you AMP, we've all been there and I know that its a really tough thing at the start.
Cliche - but you know yourself that you just need to get teh first 6 - 8 weeks done with to feel upset and get yourself back together.
Now - how about planning your new single lifestyle? What are all those things that you hear about other girls doing but never got round to yourself? Yoga? getting weekly pedicures? Cooking your favourite foods all in one sitting (even if it IS smash and marmite!)?
I would consider the first weeks breakup kit to be:
a good book (something Thriller 'ish, nothing remotely romanticy)
Handful of good DVD's (something really scary, or something serious and actionlike (the interpreter?) once its not slushy mush)
The best chocolate you can find (green blacks is my favourite)
Bottle of vodka (lets face it, you WILL want to get drunk and smoke ciggies while you cry down the phone at some stage, and its perfectly well allowed)
Pair of super super soft and cuddly pyjamas and fluffy slippers to match
For picking yourself up and getting on with things:
New tracksuit
trainers
ipod
Ideal time to take up jogging. Rather than wallowing at home, you could get fresh air, tone up, and it will be good for your state of mind.
