OOPS! Erm...urgent help required

Doh! I've just turned my bf's best white linen shirt...erm...pink.
Bearing in mind it's handwash only, any tips on restoring it to it's former glory. He doesn't like pink.
If I use a colour run thing, is it ok if the shirt has dried? I can't get to the town centre until this evening.
Thanks :o
Answer:
F C U K!!!!!
Those colour run things (I THINK) only work when the item is actually in the wash, as they catch the colour before it hits the clothes.
How did you turn it pink if its handwash only
To be honest, if it was me I'd be putting some bleach and water into the sink and putting it in to soak.
Get more opinions before you do that though
Answer:
:boohoo: I don't know Don't shout at me! :boohoo: :boohoo:
My machine has a handwash cycle and I put it in with something a bit, well, red, and it's turned all pink and splodgy.
Hmm... does your husband have a brother? I think I'm going to have to find myself a new man...
I'll ring mine and tell him the bad news I think. Get back to me on the brother front please...

Answer:
The only thing I can suggest is sticking it in some bleach solution (check the care labels first, obviously!) and then washing it again with some bleach powder (I like Oxiclean) in the wash as well as normal detergent. Then hang it to dry in the sun if at all possible.
I managed to rescue a favourite bra which developed sinister purple splodges from a dye run using this method, but you need to do it immediately while the garment is still wet.
Good luck!!

heh heh aw bless!
Yes, he does have a younger single brother as it happens. If you guys are ever doing a meet up in Dublin I'll tell him the time and venue and see if he finds you
Try the bleaching idea - I think that it will remove the colour, but my only concern would be that it might leave the texture of the material a bit funny......... But then being a man he might not notice that ;) You could blame that on the machine  ;)

    Evening wear as daywear?
Am I the only person mad enough to do this? I love some of my evening-y dresses and hardly wear them, so I started trying to wear them in the daytime :o
I certainly wouldn't do it with a floor length taffeta ballgown :cmeek: but I've worn my duck-egg blue HM prom dress as daywear (heavily dressed down, of course). I've also done it with a dusty pink crocheted dress, worn belted with a chocolate brown safari shirt and wedges. There have been other examples too, but these are the most recent ones.
I think both outfits looked OK (certainly, erm, individual!) but I wondered if anyone else does this, or what you'd think if you saw someone doing it?
    g_k
    Answer:
I think that sometimes it can work - I've often seen articles/photo spreads in HAPPY/Instyle/Glamour devoted to doing that very thing. Wearing shirts/buttoned up cardies/little jumpers over them seems to work, and wedges automatically dress them down moreso than heels..... think it is just one of those things that depends on getting the combination right.
    Answer:
I do this all the time, but it's only cos I never get to go out in he evenings but still buy glam clothes - hell it has to get worn sometime.:yay: :yay:
    Answer:
:yay: PF! Glad I'm not the only one who does this
You're absolutely right, tiny - getting the combination right is the key.

    Answer:
I don't have the nerve to do it, but last A/W i noticed glamour often had photo shoots involving evening dresses being worn over casual caries and jumpers. It looked great in the mag, and i'm sure someone more confidant could pull it off in real life.

    Too many bags
    I've got so many bags!!
the thing is, It's starting to annoy me. Most are leather good quality bags, but I never use them:rolleyes:
At the same time I can't bear to part with them.
To make matters worse I've just bought 2 more!!!
So whats the point in keeping them:confused:
I normally rotate the same 3 bags for work and again for days off.
Is anyone here the same as me?
I'm the same with shoes, perfume and eyeshadows.
    I despair of myself sometimes!
    Answer:
I'm really bad with makeup BUT my spending has fallen a lot since the Beauty boards have been so quiet! In fact it's saved me a fortune!! I'm finally working my way through all the lipglosses and eyeshadows I bought when I went MAC crazy!!
I have loaaaaaads of perfumes but again have stopped buying them so I can use the ones I do have!!
Bags were "my thing" a few months ago. I was buying a new one every fornight at one point!
Shoes are "my thing" at the mo.
I'm not really needing much else at the mo so my shopping is quite steady right now.
    Answer:
Shoes are my addiction, not bags. Think it's because I can't be bothered to move everything so often.
Make up isn't anything I could ever spend a lot of money on as I would never use it enough to justify the expense. Far too lazy to learn how to use everything. :o
I've been trying to cut down by keeping in mind what else the money could go towards - wedding/plane tickets in my case. Plus I've approaching it like this - would I pay have to it shipped 5,000 miles? :D
Occasionally I fall off the wagon, but keeping those things in my mind has helped curb my spending a bit. :)
    Answer:
I had to clear out my bag cupboard recently (yes - they have their own little space in my house!) and I counted 56!!!!
I am REALLY bad - I cant seem to stop myself. Its definitly an addiction. But I cant stop myself..........

    Street Chic
Apologies if this has already been posted..
They're just SO boring, and uninspiring. The one i've linked to is my favourite, but they all seem to be wearing very similar things i.e jeans and slouchy vest.
I think their should be a bagger specials Street Style:p
    Answer:
They're a lot better than the here Hoxton one though!
    Answer:
I don't think they're as bad as usual.
I definitely think we should start a here street style section (heads optional).
I might post the odd outfit on the rare occasion I feel I look good.

That's a great idea, I would try and do that. I posted my outfit today :)
Although, I would no way include my face:)
    Answer:
I'm not hating them as much as usual so that's a start. Don't think any of them look particularly inspiring though.
The fourth one just confuses me. The jeans look awful (this could be the way she's standing), and the top combined with the bikini top just looks really out of place.

Ok ladies, spurred on by Mimi's predicament and the fact that I'll have to try and not spend any more myself this month (some chance of sticking to that  )
So, things that I'd like to try and create new EARLY AUTUMN outfits with are:
    Black Gauchos
    Brown Gauchos
    Black cropped trousers
Dark Grey with a pale grey pinstripe below knee length tailored trews.
Any ideas? Anyone else want to play ?

How do I wear a beautiful victorian blouse - apart from with jeans) so that it doesn't end up looking like just a blouse. Problem is ; its pink (sounds gross but is beautiful - honest).
