Smythson Service Sucks

NO.1. Ask :
Smythson Service Sucks
Pleasant and works okay but sloooooooowwwwwww. Oh god slooooooooow. And the postage is overpriced. And they never have promotional codes. They may be posh but that is no excuse.
Answer:
May I say, they still totally SUCK! I have been waiting for a courier delivery since last Tuesday. Every day they say it has left and every day it is still there. I am ready to walk to the UK and beat someone over the head with all their confirmation emails
Answer:
Second this. I bought a load of (matching leather) items as a present. Turns out half of them were permanently out of stock, so they sent the few that weren't, without contacting me first. I can see where they're coming from in doing so but it wasn't much of a gift without the missing items (which had shown as 'in stock' on the website), and I would have preferred some sort of message to ask if I still wished to go ahead with the order. Posh but pants!
Answer:
I think posh shops often feel their pants attitude is part of their charm but it sooooo isn't! And I am so glad that I am not alone!
Answer:
I thought it was just me. I ordered something and am thinking I might get to be a size 00 before I get delivery.

It's ball dress time of year again...
Heya everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me with this.

I've got my uni Summer Ball coming up and I'm an ex tomboy in need of a gorgeous dress! I know next to nothing about them and bought my first one EVER only last year (That's been worn once because I lost weight and my body-shape changed!)!

I'm a bit stuck on what sort of styles would suit me tbh so I'm appealing to anyone out there with some knowledge about shapes and styles!

I'm just under 5 ft 8, size 14 and a bit busty lol! I've got a pretty ok waist, but a bit of a belly and the most annoying hip bones ever! Despite being a 14, the bones stick out and I look like I've got bigger hips. I'm really not keen on anything that comes above the knee and I'm typicaly English pale that turns tomato red in any amount of sunlight whatsoever. Has anyone got any suggestions on what shapes/style to try or avoid! I'd be so so greatful!

    Thanks!
    Answer:
You sound like the exact same shape as me, and height, and colouring! What colour are your hair and eyes? I've found prom dresses work well. Wore one to my Uni ball a few weeks back. Everyone said my chest looked great but I wasn't having the usual terror about falling out that I have with v neck styles, and the skirt skims over hips and gives you a great Marilyn Monroe shape.
    Answer:
Heya, thanks for the reply :) I've got dark brown curly hair and brown eyes (so I look a bit funny when I'm really pale lol!)

I don't mean to be dim but but what sort of shape are prom dresses? Are they generally strapless with a skirt that flares out a bit? That sounds like a nice idea though, I quite like the thought of a Marilyn Monroe shape!

    Thankyou!
    Answer:
1 Attachment(s) I was about to recommend the Marilyn Monroe shape as well, it's very flattering if you have a small waist and bigger hips/bust.
I got a sleeveless prom dress last summer which is flattering, too. I've got this one and the shape is great, if I can say it myself.
Hope you find something you like. :)
    Answer:
That's it. Warehouse has some nice ones. Like these!
The light brown one looks like it might be nice with your colouring.

    Wedding shoes - kitten heel
Hi everyone, I've found my dress - now all I need is shoes, tiara and maybe a veil.
Anyway, I can only have shoes with a heel of a maximum of 2 inches, but ideally I want little kitten heel ivory shoes about an inch - anyone seen any?
    Thanks! :)
    Answer:
 That is fab that you have your dress sorted.
    Have you tried Next
    Or Faith
    Hope these help.
    Answer:
all too high apart from one faith shoe - anymore ideas?
    Answer:
BHS - cheap and cheerful, but saw some lovely tiaras as well on TV the other day for just a tenner!
    Found these:
Not sure exactly what style you are looking for, but otherwise next/debenhams have wedding collections.

ETA; sorry, just seen that Next was already suggested. Depending on your budget - I found that Rainbow Club wedding shoes were much more comfortable than any high street ones. There seem to be quite a few stockists if you Google them.

Yeps! Prague is indeed a lovely very charming city but in October it will be rather cold :(
Saying that, if you can bear the not so warm climate, do go as quite cheap once you get there!

    Thanks ladies!
Im gonna surf the web to see what sort of deals we can get....but I like the sound of both those places. I think my friend would be happy too.
