Monsoon return policy?

NO.1. Ask :
Monsoon return policy?
Hi there
I'm in need of a dress suitable for Ladies Day at York races in August - I like to be organised  - and found the one below and hope to wear it with a big black hat, black bag and black kitten heel shoes/sandals. However...the price is putting me off, and there's no way I'll ever wear it again (as events in our family are now few and far between!).
A mate has mentioned that if I get the dress, I can take it back after I have worn it saying its unsuitable (or whatever) and get my money back, though I cant find anything about their returns policy on their website!
Anyone know and verdict on the dress? Link here
Thanks.
BB
Answer:
Yeah monsoon are great at returns. They even take back old sale stock with no proof of purchase for an exchange.
No worries there.
BUT if you buy it now and plan to take it back with the reciept they won't as the 28 days will have laspsed. You would be able to exchange though and probably by then the shop will be full of sale stuff so you could get lots.
If the zip happened to break when you wore it you could get he money back even after the 28 days.
Answer:
Agree with Sox about the returns- chances are it might be sale stock by august so you wouldnt get your full money back.
Its a nice dress though and silk is gorgeous to wear.
The only thing is, and I appreciate its an expensive dress, I couldn't justify it either, but I always think its a bit off when people buy things, wear them to an event and take them back, as soemone else will then buy the dress and they arent getting it new, if you see what I mean. Its not so much the shop you're screwing over (which I wouldnt mind!) but another customer. Plus surely the chances of staining the dress etc at the races are quite big?
Hope that didnt sound rude

Answer:
You should buy a dress you can afford.
Buying a dress to take back after YOU have worn it is totally dis honest in my opinion.
I would be very pissed off if I had bought a 'new dress' and somone else had already worn it.
Yes Monsoon ARE good at returns, but that is totally NOT the point.

(Tries pushing her luck).

    Irish Ladies!!!
I shall be off to Dublin early June and since Ive been away for a couple of years, Id like to get your opinions on the new cool restaurants to have dinner at!
(After living many many years in Dublin, I do know the usual suspects and my faves such as Odessa, Unicorn, Chilly Club, La stampa, fitzers, etc.) but am looking for new happening places!!!
Thanks for any help you can provide ;)

Haven't been yet but heard good reviews and had it recommended to me a few times.
    Answer:
Saba is a new Viatnamese / Thai restaurant on Clarendon Street (behind the Westbury Hotel). They actually won Image magazine's most sylish restaurant this year. I'm kinda biased to here because the company I work for designed the place, inside, outside and all the menu's etc. so I am proud of the place. And the owner Paul is a real sweetie!
    Answer:
Diep Noodle in Ranelagh is gorgeous.

Also Poppadoms is a fantastic award winning Indian restaurant in Rathgar.

Fire beside the Mansion House is another new one and is supposed to be great :)

    Hi girls:wave:

have any of you ordered from them?

I ordered a few bits yesterday, and want to make sure i'll be in for when it arrives.

It says on the website that it should take 2 days, but how reliable are they?

    Thanks xx:)
    Answer:
My last order was placed on Tuesday and delivered on Thursday, although they only emailed me that tracking no. etc after it had been received, which was a bit annoying.

I called the Bond Street branch and it's called the Calder and it's £495. They are out of stock though. It's a new design for spring/summer.
    Answer:
Not a bad price considering you get a whole lotta bag for it. Not surprised it's out of stock.
