My new shoes hurt!
I have a pair of new heels to wear at a wedding this weekend.
They are high sandals with two straps over the toe which really really hurt! The straps are made of leather- does anybody have any tips for softening them I have to endure wearing them all day and evening?!
P.S. The shoes have been chosen by the bride so wearing other shoes is unfortunately not an option.
Answer:
Vaseline, babypowder or moisturising/exfoliating your feet weekly, should do the trick! :)
Answer:
Vasaline on your feet should stop blisters but if you want to soften the leather up as well, put lots on the bits where it hurts you and it should help.
Also if they hurt because they are too tight, maybe trying to stretch them by wearing them with sockswill help (in the house obviously ;) )
Good luck and I hope you get it sorted before the wedding.
Mel
Oh and take a small tub of vasaline with you to the wedding to reapply throughout the day.
Answer:
I would recommend wearing them in around the house, sitting at the desk ect..
They may stretch slightly and your feet will get used to them
I have a pair of, literally killer shoes, which cause me tremendous pain but I loooove them to bits and endure it!
No pain, no gain
Answer:
Try shoving newspaper/a towel under the straps so it stretches them?
Some girls - do they have no shame??

Some girls - do they have no shame??
Sitting outside a bar in Kingston last night drinking wine and people watching, i was appalled at the state of some girls!!!
Big groups of them ALL wearing either too short denim minis, white tops and stilettos OR white gypsy skirt, brown belts, white tops and brown mid calf high heeled boots!! It was like attack of the flaming clones...and some of them wearing white skirts with their HUGE buttcheeks falling out of them....VILE!!!!!
Answer:
I posted on this a while ago. The problem with Liverpool (most places too, I'd imagine) is something is "in" and EVERYONE wears it, in exactly the same way. I hate it.
A while ago, I bought my first pair of knee length shorts (after reading a few threads on here!) A few of my mates took the piss saying that you can't wear shorts on a night out and all the rest! Now, everywhere you go, girls have shorts on for nights out. Last week, I was in a room in a pub, and 5 out of the 6 girls in there (me included  ) had shorts on. I love my shorts but don't want to wear them anymore cos I feel like a clone...
Answer:
I've been wearing shorts for years and am cross I can't wear them for a while now!
It was hilarious though - honestly - if I turned up wearing the exact same outfit as a friend i would go home and get changed....but gangs of 8 girls were all wearing near identical outfits with no shame!!!!

Got so fed up with everyone wearing the same yesterday that I fished out my old summer dress. It's a floral print in sugared almond shades. Bias cut, sleveless and with a bit of ruching at the front. Totally not in fashion (I know there is supposed to be a florals trend this summer but I haven't seen anyone else in it) but wore it with pride and got lots of nice comments :)
TS boots with Jeans
NO.3. ask :
TS boots with Jeans
I went out last night and so wanted to wear my new TS chloe'ish boots with jeans, but couldn't. They didn't seem to go.
I don't have any tight cropped jeans (and I dont "do" skinny drainpipes), so I rolled up my Earls (which are quite skinny but not too skinny) but they looked stupid.
How are others who have these boots planning to wear them? Cos I don't think they go with jeans. Or maybe i'm just doing it all wrong x
Answer:
I've tried mine on at home now and i oput them with my skinny jeans (so no help there!) They look a bit welly like on me though as the turn over bit is flappy at the back, might get them stuck down!
They're quite nice though aren't they? Think I'll keep mine.
Sorry - I've been no help whatsoever have I?!
Answer:
They are really nice Mitchey. I did buy them specifically for wearing with Jeans but will now have to have a re-think. I bought that dress from Zara that I mentioned to you the other day and I think that the boots would work well with that.
Think I'm just gonna have to cut up a pair of old jeans and expriment a bit.

They are lovely. Is an 8.5US a 6UK? I think they'll be too small. As I think these will be for me too - they're lovely though. :(
Hen Night Theme Dilemma....golf?!!
NO.5. ask :
Hen Night Theme Dilemma....golf?!!
Hi Everyone
This is my first visit to the fashion boards, usually hang out in relationships..... but am hoping someone can help me with my dilemma.....
I'm going to my friend's hen night in a couple of weeks time and have just been told the theme is golf!!!
Can anyone give me any ideas of what I can wear/ take with me that will show the golfing theme, but that will still make me look glamorous for my night out on the town?! I'm having horrible scary images of baggy trousers, long socks and argyle jumpers!! Very sexy!! :o
Thanks!
Answer:
If you have the legs.....
Short shorts, argyle print pull over. heels and a flat cap?
It's following fashion with the shorts and flat cap but you are getting in the golf theme with the pull over?
Answer:
Gosh what a bizarre hen theme! The shorts is a good idea, or a tiny pleated skirt fitted Pringle tanktop/Tee/polo shirt with ankle socks, heels a leather glove!
Or you could just wear what you want and say you're the caddy ;)
Answer:
I'd go for shorts and a flat cap as a minimum - both can be very funky with sexy heels and a sexy top and is a nod to 'golf' (how bizarre:confused: ) but is still something I would wear out.
I would actually wear:
sexy strappy heels
textured/fishnet tights optional
long shorts
a waistcoat done up (with a vest under if you need the modesty)
long beads
bangles
flat cap
I'd happily wear that out now, even without a golf theme !
Answer:
I've had to the golf theme before :o for a uni social event. I wore:
over the knee argyle socks
short pleated skirt - but this was before shorts were 'in', so Id be wearing short shorts if I were repeating it
tank top
flat cap
heels
Yes, I did look a bit bizaar, but it is a funny thing to do. Are you doing pub golf or something as a drinking game?
Have fun, and be sure to take loads of pictures!
