O/T How do you spend your lunch hour?

NO.1. Ask :
O/T How do you spend your lunch hour?
Very o/t...
I work in central London so I quite often idle away my lunch hour on Oxford St / Covent Garden- sometimes I exercise enormous self-restraint and don't even buy anything but I just like seeing what's new. I just really enjoy the stimulation of all the colours and new clothes! Very sad :o
I must be really anti-social because I hardly ever go out in my lunch hour with colleagues as I prefer to 'escape' work altogether. Although I do like meeting friends for lunch in a very nice cafe and gorging myself on their huge chicken salads.
Or, if the weather's rubbish, I probably do the same but online - wish more shops had websites though. And come on here of course, which is always fun whatever the weather! :)
So what does everyone else get up to?
x
Answer:
Shopping!
I will never ever have any money:(
Answer:
Shopping :o
Answer:
At my old job I was smack in the city centre and got on with my colleagues so we went for boozy lunches most days, or i met friends or went shopping, so most days lunch was about 2 hours long! (1 of my bosses fancied me so i got away with murder!;) )
At this place all of the girls that i got on with and used to have lunch with have now left for different reasons, so i usually just sit at my desk and eat and surf the net!:( Sad! I only get half an hour here too so dont have time to go into town even though its about 5 mins away - it takes an age to park!
Answer:
I only have half hour, so i just get a quick salad from a little cafe next to where I work then go see what I can spend my hard earned wages from!

    plucks/stains
I need some advice please ladies.
A few articles of my clothes have got either small plucks or unremovable (but faint) stains on them.
I was going to bag them up give them to charity, but hubby says I'm being too fussy.
I'm not short on clothes, I could do without these bits, but I was wondering, do you think I'm being wasteful? They may only be tiny plucks stains, probably noone else would notice but because I know they're there, I would feel scruffy wearing them!!
What do you girls think ??
    Answer:
What do you mean by plucks?
I don't personally wear clothes with stains on, so I can't see why you should just because you hubs thinks you should.
Sell them on E-bay, or give them to charity..
    Answer:
I tend to keep one or two old ratty pieces that have some stains just for kicking around the house doing housework/painting/gardening type things.
But other than that one or two sentimental pieces, I get rid of them, as I know I'll never wear them again.
    Answer:
LOL, will re-bag the offending items up now, they can go to the charity shop in the morning!
(I'm not a total tramp by the way, the pluck is tiny, the stains are tiny flecks of colour run)!!!!!!!!!!1

    Patty Anne jeans Q
I'm just looking at the Patty Anne's on the Levi's website...
Do they all have that red stripe down the outside leg? I'm not convinced it would look good but maybe I'm wrong.
    x
    Answer:
    Hi Pandora
I don't think they all have a stripe down the side, I think they're just a one off style for A/W. It shows you the washes they come in on the site.
I'm interested to try a pair on, but I'm usually in between sizes with Levis.

Oh thank you. I wasn't clever enough to work their fancy site properly :o
Think I will head out to the store and try some on! May go BEFORE I eat my lunch...

    Answer:
oooh - let me know how you get on!
    Answer:
They are very nice. The ones I tried were lovely soft denim. The fit is very slim rather than 'skinny' but I actually think I prefer that (on me) anyway. They'll definitely work tucked intoboots.
The only reason I didn't get them today was cos I'm moving soon and already feel awful about how much (most of it clothes and shoes) I've got to move!

    Ex-Kitten models for J.Macdonald..
Jenny Frost (of Kitten fame thingy) has been chosen as the new face/body for Julian Macdonalds new underwear line..
What does everyone think? Or is it just me thats a bit put-off as shes modelling them!
    [IMG][/IMG]
    Answer:
I don't think she's particually pretty IMO. There was no way she'd be the face if it wasn't for her 'status'.
Boring advert really, then again would like to see some of the designs. My fav brand for underwear is Calvin Klein..
    Answer:
I'm glad i'm not the only one who doesn't think she's stunning. It does put me off a little i.e. i wouldn't look at the collection twice if i hadn't heard of the designer and had seen that picture promotion.

    I couldnt agree more!
I saw it and immediately thought 'trashy' which is a shame as the collection is far from that.
Just shows how much promo plays in sales, something I wasnt aware of untill seeing that!
