skirt - opinions

NO.1. Ask :
skirt - opinions
1 Attachment(s) Hi ladies,
i bought this skirt in the sale from **** and i was after opinions (have finally managed to attach a picture) and ideas on things to wear with it. Im hopless with colours - eek!
Thanks :)
Answer:
I seen a thread asking the same question about the same skirt yesterday.... gimme a second...
Answer:
Oops - sorry...
I'd go for a brown top and shoes - I think there's enough green in the skirt and seeing as it's a very busy pattern I'd go for somthing plainer on top. You could pick up the green colour again in your jewellery.
p.s. I'm rubbish at colours too - I'm probably taking through my @rse here!

    Miss Sixy J Lot
Does anyone have these? Are they nice?
I thought my mind was made up about the Patty Annes but now I'm wavering as these have stretch...

    J Lot jeans
    Answer:
    Re: Miss Sixy J Lot
I'd go without stretch personally as they tend to bag a lot quicker and drainpipes need to be quite tight. My Gas ones are stretch and they have bagged a bit around the bum (admittedly, I have worn them a lot :o)
I haven't seen the Patty Anne's though so couldn't say which of the two I'd get.

    Answer:
    Thanks madshopper
I'll have to try and escape to Selfridges next week and try them on. I hope they come in odd sizes as I was a 27 in the Patty Anns yesterday. My current Miss Sixtys are 28 but I think that style needs to be really tight.
Stretch is also good for me as my weight seems to randomly fluctuate by about a stone in a matter of months - I'm feeling thinner than usual at the moment (the stress of moving house!) so I'm making the most of it! :D
Oh and the Miss Sixtys are lovely and DAAAAARK.

    Answer:
I tried the J Lot on on few weeks ago and although they seemed to have a good fit there and then, I would also definetly go for non stretch. Saying that, I have another pair of very old stretch Miss Sixtys which never loose shape, am even considering turning them into drainpipes as the fit is very slim everywhere apart from the bootcut :great:

    How do you pronounce...?
Khussas? And Havaians (If I spelt it right!)?
I'm sure there is more I dont know, anyone else got stuff they don't know?
    Answer:
    Khussa = koosa
and the plural spelt in english is khussas, but in the original language (Urdu or punjabi) would be pronounced as koosay

I think it's hav-ay-a-nas, but Miss Sofia is Portuguese so she will be able to tell you.

    Answer:
Can only help you with the Havaianas bit as not sure I can pronounce Khussas myself! :o
    Havaianas ---
    Ha (as in ´ah´),
Vai (as if you were saying ´Vi´),
Anas (as in Anna, the name but with an ´s´)
Then again, you are not meant to say it perfectly considering your native language is english and not portuguese...so dont worry! ;) :)

Hey i'm a major lurker to this board!
Anyway, I read an article in 'You magazine' you know, the one that comes with the Sunday Times (i think) and it was by someone called Mimi AND it was about the joys of Primark!!
Either it's the Mimi on this board or just a major coincidence lol!!!
So did you write it mimi?
    xxxx
    Answer:

Mimi's real name is not mimi, but she might have written it.
I read an article the other day, written by someone called "Polly", and I though it was "The Blonde", after reading her BLOG..
Same writing style, and well, same name
The Blonde, if it was you, confess please :D
    Answer:
    Hello!!
Sorry to disappoint, but it's definitely not me :) in fact I am the world's worst primark shopper and have never found an it ything in my local branch (Hammersmith) more glamourous than socks!!!

    For all the skinny minnies...
I was in Oasis yesterday and they had the cutest little khaki playsuit that imo would look wicked on those long hot nights on holiday!
Its basically just a loose fitting strapless top with hot pants attached and a loosely elasticated dropped waist.
I think it would look amazing with matallic wedges, a belt and some bangles..... and of course a tan!
Best bit is, its reduced from £28 to a fiver and they had loads in my local branch!
    Answer:
That sounds so cute and Id love it!!!
Shame there is NO Oasis in this country!!! grrrr!!!
    Answer:
It is cute Miss Sofia, I would love to have the figure for it!
    Answer:
    Did ya try it on?
    Answer:
That does sound very cute. My next holiday is Scandinavia in November though so it probably wouldn't be very suitable for that! :xcool:
