thanks
Answer:
If you dont want to wear a suit, maybe you could compromise and team fairly smart trousers, for example these ones, £25 from Warehouse
With a simple vest top and some knitwear, like this cardigan, £25 from Dorothy Perkins
A waistcoat; this one is £35 from Warehouse
Or just a simple shirt like this £16 one from Topshop.
I think so long as you team it with relatively smart accessories, most outfits would smarten up okay! Hope that helps.
Answer:
I think that if possible you should wear a suit - sorry!
Unless it is a trendy type place I would avoid wearing anything too high fashion, because they may not get it IYSWIM.
Although you could just wear some smart trousers or a sharp skirt with a fitted shirt - after all it is summer. It looks professional, you should get loads of wear out of whatever you choose when you are working. Which I suppose you wouldn't if you don't like suits.
People also tend to notice shoes. Topshop have some really nice black work type shoes (not on website) with petal shape cut-outs ATM, I think they are £40.
GOOD LUCK!!
Answer:
I've never worn a suit to an interview - just smart clothing and it hasn't stopped me getting employed.
Love that cardi from DP Heaven n Storms :)
Getting boots altered in North London?
NO.2. ask :
Getting boots altered in North London?
Hey there,
I have some new boots that are too big around my calves - can anyone recommend a place in north/central London that does alterations on leather boots?
I seem to remember someone mentioning a place in Camden that was recommended by Jimmy Choo - anyone know where?!
Thanks so much.

Answer:
not sure about the camden place, but the perrins shoe clinic in hampstead is good for most things. they're quick too, especially if you act really desperate.
Answer:
Go to Classic Shoes in N7
The girls at Jimmy Choo recommended I take my knee highs there - they send all their shoes and boots there to be repaired. He's very good.

What colours are you loving to wear at the moment?
NO.3. ask :
What colours are you loving to wear at the moment?
I was just wondering if any of you have colours that you really like wearing at the moment. I seem to have developed a big liking for pale gold, green and aqua this year....last year I wore a lot of pink (but am feeling a bit old for that this year as I am 30 next month!) :D
Any thoughts?
Answer:
I'm really loving lots of greens - bright, khaki, lime - they suit my colouring really well. Still wearing a fair bit of turquoise too.
Answer:
Dark turquiose and purple.
Answer:
Blues, lilacs and turquoise mostly.
I'd like to wear peach/coral/apricot but they seem to be difficult to get your hands on!
I bought two long full gypsy skirts in bright orange and lime green - colours I wouldn't normally wear particularly in skirts due to the size of my bottom but I was struck by the curse of Victoria Beckham in that pic of her orange skirt.
I can't say the orange one has been a big hit because it looks daft in dull weather and is a bit eye-popping in the sunshine but the green one gets a lot of compliments and is refreshing rather than tangoed.
My favourite skirt this summer is a blue and lilac indian style sequinned number but I get so many people stopping me to ask where I got it that I feel a bit too conspicuous in it now. I see eyeballs swivelling to check it out and I walk along feeling like my skirt is shouting "ooooh ooooh look at me!" This would be great if you were at a party but not when you're buying tampax in Boots.
On the plus side, I could have the world's biggest spot on my nose and no-one would ever notice.
Answer:
Mine are very similar to Sakura's - different shades of blues, turquoises and purples. I wear these colors year round though and just change the shades depending on the weather/season/my mood!
No pinks for me I'm afraid, not quite ready to embrace being a girl that much! :) Though I do have some slight pink detailing on one of my coats, so that could be a step in a different direction color-wise.
Lighter colors like yellows and oranges don't normally make their way into my wardrobe as I can't quite figure out how to wear them with what I've already got. This is after reading some of the threads on here, so I'm working on it, but haven't quite figured it out yet. :o
Reds I'm a huge fan of though year-round, especially the cherry reds, as they happen to look great with my coloring! :)

Where's the best place to buy gift boxes and tissue for wrapping a present?
Answer:
I would say Paperchase, but they dont do online shopping if that is what you are looking for.
If you want to shop online try www.thewrappingco.com
I have used them loads and they have some nice things.
Answer:
If you want ribbon to wrap the box with get it in a fabric store, they have massive selections of ribbons and are cheaper than card shops

Help with outfit
NO.5. ask :
Help with outfit
I have a party to go to on Saturday night and have now been told that the theme is "Sparkley" for the ladies. I have no idea what to wear. One of my friends text me to say that she is wearing a short skirt with purple sparkley boots.
The only thing I own which is sparkley is a black bolero but I have nothing to wear it with other than jeans or smart black trousers.
I thought Jeans might be to casual and black trousers to casual.
The Party is tomorrow night so I have some time to do some shopping.
Forgot to say that the Party is being thrown for me and other half by our friends as we got enagaged last month so I want to look really good:o
Answer:
aw congrats!!!! Lucky you!
Get yourself down to Primark and pick up one of their sparkly gold vest tops!
Answer:
Thank you Supercat. I have never been to primark but I am not sure about vest tops as I am quite large on the chest side and tend to look a bit cartoony!
Answer:
Maybe keep the outfit quite simple and wear lots of glitzy accessories like a sequin scarf and sparkley jewellery?
Answer:
Congrats on the pending nuptials!
Regarding the outfit, how about a pair of black city shorts, a white vest, your bolero and sparkly bangles/accessories to go with it. Teamed with a pair of sexy heels
