Need some expert opinions please...
...Hope everyone had a great New Year :D I am in need of some help.
I have a 21st Birthday party to go to next Friday and I am a bit stuck on what to wear, it's very important as I will be meeting practically all of my boyfriend's family for the first time ever and I want to make a good impression :p :p .... here are my ideas, I dont have any pics sorry but I'll try and describe the items as best as I can :)
OK, so either:
***********
Black wide v-neck capsleeve top with corset style ribbons to do up the front with little white polka dots
Black A-Line silky skirt
Silver ballet pumps
************
Same top as above but with skinny dark jeans and silver platform style peeptoes
************
Black cropped trousers, not shorts, about calf length
Cream baggy style cami with gold embroidery at the neck-line and spaghetti style straps
Gold peeptoe stilettos with bit that wraps around ankle
a shrug, eitehr black or cream, not decided, both are quite sheer and evening-y.
************
Same outfit as above but with black silk skirt form before instead of cropped trousers.
************
Brown sweetheart neck cotton dress with cap sleeves cut on the bias, knee legth with a cream/ gold little shrug and the gold shoes
*************
Buy something new
*************
Hmmm not sure what do you think?? Any comments would be helpful, as long as they're nice :D
TIA MB xxx
Answer:
Well, they all sound rather nice :)
It's very hard to say without seeing them though - my instinct would be to go with the brown dress (with a cream shrug probably) because it's a bit more unusual, but then that's just me being difficult as usual! I have to say that the cropped trousers/skirt and cami sound really nice too.
No help at all, sorry - perhaps you should spread them out on the bed and choose one blindfold!! ;)

Answer:
Thanks Geek Kitten I guess I am just a very indecisive person :)
I was swaying towards the dress too but am thinking it could be a little too dressy.... hmmmm  saying that I do love the polka dot top, do you think wearing ballet pumps is ok for an evening do? :)
Answer:
Yup, definitely, especially since they're metallic. If it's not too dressy an event, then the polka-dot top and skirt (which sounds lovely, btw) sounds like a good compromise between too dressed-up and too casual.
I have the same problem when choosing outfits, so you're not alone ;)

Answer:
They all sound nice but for this occassion where you might be feeling a bit self conscious, feeling the pressure of meeting the in laws (!) stay in something comfy, my instinct would be the first outfit, sounds elegant and chic but comfortable!
Have fun!

    Answer:
    I like numbers 2 3 :)
    Answer:
First and third. Like the detailing on the first and love the colour of the second. Where are they from, btw? They're very nice :D
    g_k
    Answer:
I also like the first and the third the best! Especially the third, it is lush. Nice raspberry colour.
The middle one looks a bit mis-shapen and like it would show every bump and bulge.
    Answer:
1 2 for me. hehehe, we've all given you different answers so far, which isn't much help.

    New shoes, slight problem
1 Attachment(s) I bought these shoes yesterday in a size 5. I am totally in love with them and had been trying to get hold of them for a while. However I wore them out last night and they were really painful. They were a tiny bit tight when I tried them on, but I thought they'd give and yet they seem to have just got tighter and tighter ......
Any suggestions for what I can do??? Has anyone ever had shoes stretched professionally?
Oooh and do you like them?!!
    Mimi x
    Answer:
steam them over a boiling kettle - it usually helps soften and stretch the leather a bit.;)
    Answer:
lovely shoes Mimi! where are they from?
I have the same problem with some boots I won with ebay - i refuse to give in and resell them!... will be interested to know how you get on!
    Answer:

Nixy they're from Office £59.99 and they are so dinky (although that I suppose is the problem!!) will definitely keep you posted!

    Answer:
    Hi,
they're lovely!!You can buy a leather stretcher spray at shoe menders, but I 'm not sure how effective it would be,I've only ever used it on a small area that rubbed, not the entire front of the shoe,IYSWIM!
