i was thinking about ordering something off the esprit site. only thing is its all in euros so im wondering if this is ok and do u do everything normally and will the price be converted when taken from ur account? i dont often buy stuff online so just curious. any help would be great. thnks :)

Ive seen loads of people wearing t shirts with fun/cool pictures on the front but i never see any in the shops - just plain ones.

I second Urban Outfitters, they always have really funky tees. If you live in the UK you can't order from the US website but you will be able to order from their new UK website in the summer. I usually look on Ebay for their stuff.
Also, I have got quite a few t-shirts from Topshop that are really cool they have been doing some 'rock' ones lately that I really like.

Watching Rear Window (link ) over the Christmas period, it became apparent that my entire extended household was transfixed by Grace Kelly's costumes.
In particular, there was a sculptural drape fronted halter-necked blouse which played such a pivotal role in one scene we all gasped and cooed when she took her jacket off! And that includes at least one fashion refusenik.
I know little about Hollywood costume designers, but I looked it up and Kelly's costumes were designed by the most famous Hollywood designer of them all, Edith Head. (article here ) She worked on the likes of Audrey Hepburn and can be credited for some iconic looks.
It got me to wondering whether the movies still wield the same power (assuming that they once did) over fashion directions. These days we have the red carpet hoopla - Scarlett Johansson wearing Mouret etc., but to my mind that's not the same thing, that's quite an explicit promotional deal rather than a look capturing the imagination because it's become iconic in a film.
Perhaps some modern films are influential in that way. The Matrix and all that sleek black minimalism for example? Pulp Fiction and Rouge Noir/fringes?
What do you think? Is movie style still influential - will you be wearing kimono sleeves and cupid-bow lipstick this summer because of Memoirs of a Geisha? Do styles cross over from the artistic vision of the film into the mainstream?

I think the older movie stars like Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn still inspire us style wise but I don't think it is just the great clothes they wore. I think it's also that they were style personified, especially Audrey Hepburn. She's a style icon, it's a bit like the whole Jackie O thing. I wonder if any of our movie stars from today will be remembered in quite the same way.:cat:

I think even though Neiman Marcus don't ship internationally from their website if you give them a call they will post them to you. I'm sure other baggers have done this in the past.

I order from Neiman Marcus a lot. They accept international credit cards for online orders, but do not deliver internationally for online orders so you would have to use www.shopthestates.com
If you telephone Neiman Marcus with your order, they will ship internationally I think.

If I want to order from the Neiman Marcus website I just give them a call, their customer service is fantastic. If they don't have it stock they'll look on their system and give you a list of stores that have stock and you can call them and order directly from the store.
