Sunday Dating
Right guys, am off on a date on Sunday, meeting late afternoon through to evening and it's a first date.
I want to make a killer impression, it's the first date I've been on since a nasty break up so my confidence is a bit shot as it is.
I'd like to look elegant yet sexy...and have no blinkin' clothes suitable. Budget is tight but I am heading to Primark tonight to see what's there.
I ama size 16 so would love to look slimmed down and have cropped dark hair....hard work I know!
Answer:
I like the sound of your hair!
How about a military style jacket with a plainish low-neck dark top/camisole and straight leg dark jeans? Obviously high heels are a must....If you're going to be outdoors in the afternoon, a big chunky scarf and a bakerboy hat.
Not v adventurous but think it'll suit your figure and look elegant yet funky...
Answer:
Thanks! It's nice when it's neat...needs a cut badly so hopefully sort that out on Saturday!
Thanks for the ideas...I can picture exactly what you mean and that sounds cool...but I am hoping for something a little more feminine looking.
Since cropping off the hair I have felt quite grungy and almost manly ( ) and have been slouching about it big roll neck jumpers, slouch boots, skinny jeans all of that malarky.
I want to regain some of my old sophisitcation if you know what I mean?
I've not got much to work with, I think that's part of the problem! Everything's very dark and bland and out of shape, I don't like any of my jeans, boots look tatty....arrrgh!
Answer:
Where are you going?
Answer:
I imagine just to the pub!
OT - can anyone help me with my hair??
NO.2. ask :
OT - can anyone help me with my hair??
I had my hair coloured a couple of weeks ago and HATE it. I wanted deep copper all over with lots of fine light copper lights through it...what I got was mahogany with wide yellow stripes - not a good look (it's my usual salon but it was a diff colourist from usual)
Anyway, they're going to recolour it for free. So, I'm thinking as I'm naturally dark haired to go for a warm chocolate colour all over with dark coppery highlights all through...my hair is long, curly with a blunt, straight fringe.
Do you think it'll be possible to acheive this colour on my hair? A friend suggested lowlights, but I have no idea what they even are!!!!
will now try and post a pic of me...
Answer:
Christ, that's almost life size - soz....don't spill your tea in fright!
Answer:
I think it would be possible to achieve that colour but I'd be a bit scared of that hairdressers now.....
Answer:
Ah, you're so pretty!!
I think it will be possible but you (or they) will have to be careful with covering the yellow parts as they may just go a darker yellow (i.e. ginger) on those bits IFSYWIM.
However about 3 years ago mine was very blonde and one day I was bored and went out and bought a chocolate brown and bunged it on and it was fine so I'm sure it will be ok with them doing it.
Lowlights ore the opposite of hi-lights (no :D) they would just add some darker streaks through, depends if you want an all over darker effect or just want to tone down the yellow (ouch) bits.
Answer:
thanks ladies. I'm really not sure what went wrong with my colour this time - usually they're fantastic, def not cheap at £120 either!
Sounds like if it was ok with yours Bella, mine should be ok.
Ordering from Next online
NO.3. ask :
Ordering from Next online
I have ordered stuff online from Next before but the things I have bought have simply always been 'in stock' or 'out of stock'. What I want to know is when it says 'this item may be delayed by up to 5 days' or something like that, does that mean that I will have to wait up to 5 days for it to be delivered if I go ahead order it or that I will have to wait up to 5 days for it to be in stock then order it?
Thanks, sorry if I sound thick! :o

Answer:
It means it will it will take up to 5 days to be delivered if you order it there then. You will only pay one delivery charge for the whole order even if the items come at different times.
It may not be exactly 5 days though.

Answer:
.
Answer:
You can order it they will deliver everything when it arrives, even if that's in bits pieces. I have ordered a ton of stuff for work it's started arriving about 5 things at a time.
Tianna is correct they only charge you once for delivery.
I have been ordering quite a lot from them recently have found them 100% reliable, even when things haven't been in stock for a few days.

Slightly O/T - Shopping in Bangkok??
NO.4. ask :
Slightly O/T - Shopping in Bangkok??
Hi there! I'm heading to Thailand for two weeks on the 17th. We will be in Bangkok for two nights so I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on where to head shopping-wise? I'm not going to be there on a weekend so I'll miss out on the markets.
Thanks! :)
Answer:
They have loads of big malls , but i like shoppping on khao san road where alll the backpackers are. There is a bit market which gets going in the early evening but is around all day. Its good for fake bits and bobs and jewellery and summer clothes , although they dont go any bigger than a 12! Me and my friend used to get so pisssed of when the thai stall holder used to look at us then say " too fat"!!:p
ALso the night market (forget the name)is good for home stuff and souvenirs.
Try patpong night market for thai silk scarves( beautiful) and good designer bag fakes.
OOOOhh dont forget the weekend market(Chatuchak) ..it is AWESOME.. sprawling and sell anything you care to imagine! Also has tons of cool boutiquey type clothes stalls selling very funky stuff. Dont miss it!
Shopping in bangkok is fab.
Enjoy yourself. and the amazing food!:)
Answer:
You lucky lucky lucky thing!! I was there this time last year and had a fab time!
Anyway, the markets are on, as far as I could tell, every day and often till late at night - you'd get guys setting up there 'stalls' (ie. plonking stuff on the pavement) at midnight!
The main shopping area is round Sukhumvit Road, which I actually didn't like too much - the market traders seemed quite 'in your face' and it was a bit grotty - I'd also heard muggings were common in that area.
We stayed near Khao San Road which isn't far from Sukhumvit - it's a very touristy area and the main road had a market along it which I loved - not amazing quality clothes, but everything is incredibly cheap and it's great for things like belts and silver jewellery. Actually I wish I'd bought more stuff when I was there! I bought quite a few tops and skirts, and I don't think I paid more than a few quid for anything. You can also barter a bit with the stall-holders, although you won't get huge discounts on the prices quoted. There's also a very lively nightlife along the road - loads of bars and restaurants and backpakers!!
There are also factories that produce made-to-measure suits and dresses for cheap. I didn't do this myself, and you probably won't have the time as you're only there for a few days - but beware of rickshaw drivers that will do everything they can to try and take you to these factories even if you say you aren't interested!! Stick to the proper taxicabs.
Hope that helps. I'm so jealous!!! :p
Answer:

Keep or ebay?
NO.5. ask :
Keep or ebay?
I don't know what to do with this bag, I got it from ioffer for approx £100 and whilst it's lovely quality and a really nice bag, I already have a cream Lush paddington and am thinking I should maybe sell it and put it towards a different tan one.
Much as I really like it I don't :throb: it if you know what I mean (which means will I use it, I haven't yet....)
Waddya reckon? Should I put it on ebay or keep it, can't decide - need help   :cmdunno:
Answer:
How long have you had it? If it's been a couple of months and you haven't used it then defo ebay!
Answer:
It came on xmas eve (aah!) That picture looks rubbish cos it's with the flash.... hmmmm, I have a feeling it will be going on ebay. I have to really love something at first sight to use it.
Answer:
I would ebay it then hun. If you haven't used something within the first week or so then my guess is it won't get used at all !!! You have the lovely cream paddington anyway which you obviously prefer so ebay that and get a different tan one which you love as much as the cream paddington.
Answer:
You're right, sometimes you just need a 2nd opinion. ta xx
