What do you spend on clothes/makeup monthly
NO.2. ask :
What do you spend on clothes/makeup monthly
Hello everyone, was just interested to know what everyone spends on clothes/shoes/makeup monthly. I am 32 years old, earning fairly good money but with huges mortgage and tend to be erratic with spending, spending£500 a go in one month then nothing for a few months-well mostly cause my hubby holds me in check!
Just would be nice to know what is average spending money and what is your poison regarding fashion buys??

Answer:
I have around £700 disposable income every month.... although there always seems to be 'something' that eats into that
I would guess that I spend around £300-400 a month on clothes and makeup, but that does fluctuate. Since I moved in with Mr Shiny my spending on house things has increased and that has held my clothes spending in check.
I don't have a particular 'poison', just a severe lack of will power!
But as of this month I am on the Spending Diet and limiting myself to £50 per month :)
Answer:
It varies. Could be anything from £100-£500 - depends what's in the shops and what gems I happen to find on Ebay that paricular month :meh:
I refuse to ever buy for the sake of buying just cause I have the cash to spend though! I'd rather put the money away than buy something half-heartedly for the sake of having it.
I'm a sucker for jackets and bags but am getting into jewellery in a big way at the mo.
Answer:
I spend anything up to about £250 a month. I'm careful to make sure the things I buy are going to be things I get lots of use out of and that they go with the rest of my wardrobe, and that are actually worth the money. I usually stock up on MAC stuff every month too.
Answer:
I only tend to spend under £50 unless I go on a big spree or buy a couple of bigger things like jeans (not very often though!) and now we have primark I hope it'll be even less :p
OMG, maybe I don't spend *enough*?!

1 Attachment(s) Just a tenner and ended moments ago! Had to set an alarm! And yes fellow spending dieters, this is my weekly £15 ebay treat - been disciplined to include postage in that!!
Answer:
nice - is it leather or fake?
Answer:
It's fake Juggler, I have one in red and paid over £30 for it on ebay from a different seller - it's a great size too, lovely to hold everything in! I've not seen an authentic Chloe or exact replica so I don't know how big they are compared to it - doubt it will fool anyone!
Answer:
Thats lovely Hack! Well done! Talk about dedication to the cause of ebay bargains! ;)
Answer:
I KNOW! Isn't it fab? That's worth well over one week's worth of drooling - especially as it may not arrive till mid week anyway - so I will easily last out till next weekend!
I kept seeing leather Paddington imitations everywhere and they were still near the £100 mark. I thought you'd be proud - am doing really well with this already!

I've been drooling over this Matthew Williamson number in BT's Dublin, at €1700 it's so way out of my budget it may as well be €1,000,000. The fabric is just sooo beautiful though, photos don't do it justice. I reckon if I fantasise about it enough I'll be sick of it and won't want it anymore.
Anyone know where I could get something more in the €350 budget? (that's about £235) I have 4 weddings to go to early Summer and want something a little different and not too wedding-like. Bear in mind that Irish weddings are def on the glam-it-up side.
Answer:
Link didn't work but it's the first dress on the Matthew Williamson page.
Answer:
Hi, I created a thread on finding a nice wedding oputfit dress for under £300 last week. The thread is called 'Kick Arse dress!' and people came up with loads of good ideas on there, so check it out.
Answer:
I can't help sorry but I LOVE that dress! *swoon*
Answer:
Doesn't Matthew Williamson do a defusion line at Debenhams? Maybe he'll do something similar there... not a patch on the original one though I'm sure. It really is a gorgeous dress.
I've been to BT in Dublin several times and it really is a fabulous shop. :)
Lane Bryant
NO.5. ask :
Lane Bryant
hi,
This is a US based shop and I checked there website and looks like they do not ship internatinally.
Just wondering anyone know if they are in the UK or if the have got stuff shipped internationally.
Thanks
Cutie
Answer:
Never heard of the shop, but I would suggest Ebay (just put Lane Bryant into ebay.com and got 1227 matches!) or I know some baggers have used Shop the States for sites that don't ship internationally :)
Answer:
Lane Bryant def don't ship internationally and don't have any branches/outlets here in the UK. (Unfortunately :( )
I have bought a few things from them before but as they don't accept credit/debit cards regisitered outside of the US, I had to use Shop The States Buying Service - which is okay, but costs you USD5.95 for every 3 items you get them to buy plus 5% of your order total to cover credit card charges and currency conversion fees.
So if it's something you really really want, there is a way to get it!
