Top to go with pencil skirt?
I bought a black pencil skirt the other day and don't really know what to wear with it. I don't wear corsets or bustiers as they just look crap on me. I have a wide black patent cinch belt which I think would look nice over the right top. But obviously that doesn't have to be part of the outfit! Oh, and it's for going out (as opposed to day wear).
Any ideas?
Answer:
I have a black jersey pencil skirt.
I wore it with a black puffball top, which I didn't think would work but it did!
How about with a blouse in a similar style to this?
Answer:
Oh that's really nice, where's it from?
However I think I would feel a bit too covered up in that style on a night out. Somehow I don't feel ready for a night out unless I'm flashing a bit of flesh :o Not loads or anything, but arms definitely...
Answer:
That top's from Topshop.
I can imagine a top like this looking good, especially with your belt.
Answer:
Yeah that shape would be lovely with some fab jewellery and the belt. Thanks for the inspiration!

exactly what length are skinnys supposed to be and is it OK to wear them with ballet pumps?
Answer:
Some skinnies stop at the lower ankle, just at the top of the foot. Mine are a bit lower than that and have a slight bootcut so they work well with either ballet pumps or boots.
I think they look good with ballet pumps if the person has got the figure to carry it off.
Answer:
Mine ruch a bit at the ankle but that's because I am a bit too short for them and the NL ones oly come in one length!
It doesn't bother me though, just feels as if I am wearing denim socks when I pull them down over my feet to give a smooth line when I put my boots on!
Answer:
Skinnies in boots are more flattering as they even out the way the leg looks from thigh to ankle. If you have slim legs then ballet flats look lovely. They aren't very flattering if you have ice cream cone shaped legs though as they accentuate it. I think you can wear skinnies any length from ankle to a bit too long and all scrunched over the ankle.

1 Attachment(s) hi,
I'm after a black winter coat... a nice warm coat, that is 3/4 length and I'd really like one with a funnel neck.
Has anyone seen anything to fit this bill?!
I really like this one, but would ideally like a funnel neck...
Answer:
Depending on how much you want to spend, there's lots of nice plain black funnel neck coats out there. New Look had loads last time I went in - really reasonable too.
Answer:
Are they decent quality?
I don't want to spend too much but also don't want something that will fall apart and not be very warm....not asking for much am I?!
:p
So far I've looked at Miss S, Topshop and DP websites..haven't spied any nice funnel neck coats yet...
Answer:
Do you want bubble skirt (like on the coat you posted) AND a funnel neck or just a black funnel neck coat?

Answer:
