I am loving my straight leg jeans that I bought in Topshop not so long ago - they are great for showing off your new shoes – much better that boot cuts… so that got me thinking on straight leg trousers… does anyone know where I can get a good quality pair of (black?) Straight leg trousers??

My new year's resolution (not for the first time) is to wear more colour, not just my usual which is black, with the odd exciting splash of......... white :o
So now I am faced with the prob that I don't know HOW to mix colours and worried about looking like a clown.

You can get them from art shops.
Or there's this from Wilko's. If you click on a colour it will give colours that work with it or contrast, it is more for decorating but quite intresting (even if a bit rubbish!)

Here's an online colour wheel but I'm not sure where you could buy one from. I know it's a design based one, but the theory would still apply.

Just wondering if the leather-like bags from the Butterfly by Matthew Williamson range are normally leather? There is quite a nice one in-store at the moment (not online) at £55 but I'm not sure if it is genuine leather or not.
Does anyone know if a bag from that range at that price would be leather or not? Thanks.

I'd hope a diffusion line bag costing £55 was leather but I'm not 100% sure. There should be a tag inside the bag (like there are in clothes) specifying what it is made of. I've often looked for these when I've not been sure. You could smell it too but this might illicit strange looks.

The Jasper Conran ones are leather (not that that helps you any!) but you can't really see with the Matthew Williamson ones.

Thanks. I took out all the padding and had a hoke inside for a label but I couldn't locate one. I might go back and try again.
There's a John Rocha one as well that I saw at about the same price and the details online say it's leather but like you say Serendipity, it doesn't really help! :uzzle:

The Julien Mac Donald ones for Debenhams are definetely leather and about £50.00. I bought a Matthew Williamson one in the Debenhams sale this summer for £33.00 and it was real suede.
