Footwear help please
Hi all,
I'm hoping you ladies can help me. I'm now fully into maternity wear, and struggling to create a wardrobe which is a whole nother thread, but the main thing is that I don't know what footwear I should get.
ATM I have a couple of pairs of jeans some gaucho type stretchy black trousers, and a pair of black formal trousers.
I'm really feeling that my trainers are past it, and they really seem to make me look scruffy. I would like to get some kind of smarter ones to be versatile, but I'd like to get away from them.
I have some kitten heel bronzey pewtery pumps from Shelley's, but I wear the heels down really quickly so I need smething else. I'm only 5'2 and I don't actually find flat flats comfortable, so I need something with a bit of a lift, probably wedges, that will be wearable for walking around town and chasing a toddler.
BTW I'm open to getting a few different things, it's just I don't know what will look right.
Any ideas?

Answer:
Erm, well my first choice as I was reading was ballet pumps but then you said you don't like flats... hmmm... It's quite difficult to find anything low that isn't either a ballet pump, a trainer or a kitten heel at the moment (I spent all day on Sunday looking!)....
Some flat's are comfortable, I think you just have to try some on, loafers are supposed to be big this year, do you like those? Otherwise maybe wait a bit until more Spring stuff comes in and see if there are any wedges (I just did a quick look on line for you now and I couldn't find much yet)
Answer:
Thanks Bella Ragazza,
I saw some nice pewter distressed pumps in the Dune sale which had rubbery thicker than normal soles, but of course when I went back they were gone, and I don't really like the bronze they have left.
I'll keep looking :)

boots to fit my thin calfs
26yeard old and have never owned a pair of boots ever!!!
ok my friend is 26 years old loves shoes. but its winter again and she is depressed....
Every year she looks for just ONE pair of boots that would fit her calfs. Every year she gets upset at how little her calfs are. Every pair of boots she trys on look like welly boots. I have even been able to help her find a pair in europe.
All she wants is a pair of knee high boots that are not really big around her calfs; small or no heal; in black or even brown.
she is 5 foot 8inches tall and has size 40 ( size 7) feet.
Is there anyone out there that makes leather boots to fit?or any advice? can you get boots altered?
thanks
sezstar
Answer:
I have the same problem and only have three pairs of boots two of which are slouchy to kind of avoid the whole issue.
I don't think that you can get boots altered, but Europe may be the best bet as French boots anyway tend to be cut smaller on the calf, will le tyou know if I see anything.
Answer:
boots made to fit?

What goes with....
NO.3. ask :
What goes with....
Hello stylish girls and ladies
Some help please....I am seriously lacking inspiration this afternoon!
I'm going shopping after work and of course am passing the afternoon productively planning what to look for instead of working.:o
I am thinking of trying on a knee length pencil skirt and peep toe heels combo but cannot for the life of me think what'd look good on top.
I'm going to Dublin for the weekend, and this is for if we go clubbing on Sat night - can I just add a  at this point cos apparently its gonna rain all weekend and that is seriously interfering with my wardrobe plans!!
I'm size 12 (10 on a good day) my usual style I would say is quite casual but well groomed, I like boots, layers, only ever wear a skirt on a night out.
I just worry that when I do wear a skirt I look like I'm trying too hard!

Other people won't necessarily see it like that though. I wear a skirt every day - I don't ever wear trousers except for yoga - so it's just because you're not used to skirts. Don't worry :)
Answer:
I'd say a chiffony type blouse or a black bustier/corset type thing:)
Answer:
what catwoman said, or ;
black boatneck 3/4 sleeve top under a fitted waistcoat
fitted short sleeved jersey poloneck
sexy angora wrap cardie
black fitted plain high to the neck halterneck top
depends how glam and how much skin you want to show?
Answer:
I have a black puffball top which looked suprisingly good worn with a black jersey pencil skirt cropped cardigan.
Help - cream shoes
NO.4. ask :
Help - cream shoes
Hello people, I dont normally post here, I normally post on the beauty forum but I am stuck and I am hoping someone here might be able to help me. I am going to a wedding in Feb, and I have a lovely pink dress from Hobbs to wear. I've decided I want to wear cream shoes with it but I cant find a pair I like anywhere! I'd really like a pair with a round toe, not too expensive, preferably less than £50. Has anybody seen anything like this anywhere?
Thanks!
Answer:
Topshop have three pairs of flats - two of the banded type in cream (different trims), and they have some cream patent ballet pumps. The first two are £28 and the baleet pumps £25 :)
ETA they also have some cream round toed heels with a ribbon ankle tie for £60 which are lurvely.
Answer:
Oooh they sound nice! The heeled ones that is. I should have said I want a pair with some sort of heel I'm just too small without any heel at all! Thanks, I'll have a wee look in Top Shop.
Answer:
You can get them online, it's just they use flash so I can't link you to the exact page.

I think they could look nice on holiday.
But they are a bit fussy for my tastes and I think I would end up breaking my ankles and falling on my arse with those ties!
