Slippy shoes
I bought a pair of De Hav's in the sale at TS a couple of weeks ago. They are not unlike the platform's that Small Girl has in her signature pic. They have a peep toe and a wedge and are very high. I am dying to wear them, but they slip dreadfully and to such an extent that when my foot slips out I have to hobble and stumble a bit to get it back in the shoe as they are quite high backed. They are the right size and not too big - any smaller and they would hurt. I have inserted a pair of the Dr. School party feet things but they don't seem to work. They are completely unwearable at the mo. Does any one have any ideas about how to stop them slipping. Thanks
Answer:
I had exactly the same problem with a pair of high peep toes and found the party feet not to work!! I instead bought some Scholl foot cushions which fit under the ball of your foot and just under your toes which stop your foot from falling forwards and keeps the shoe more secure. I got them from Boots and don't scrunch up like the gel ones :)
Answer:
Thanks for you post. I'm about to go out so will make a detour to Boots. x

You could also try the ones that go in the heel of your shoes:

Exactly, it's all about how you wear an item.
I wouldn't bother personally.

Going Out Outfits
NO.5. ask :
Going Out Outfits
So, who's out this weekend (or over the next few weekends leading up to xmas) and what will you be wearing?
I need some inspiration!! Trying not to buy anthing new, because I need to start buying for other people now!! Trying to come up with some ideas from existing clothes hanging in the wardrobe :toot:
Answer:
I was just thinking about this myself as have so many nights out coming up. My recent outfits have been uncharacteristically black and I need some inspiration (on the cheap) too.
On my most recent nights out I have sported a black jersey long-line racer back vest over my jagged hem ruffly black mini with satiny pintuck waistband, a black leather corset cinch belt, black opaques and vintage black ankle boots. Teamed with gold double locket necklace and big backcombed hair with black headband.
Also black velvet short shorts with opaques, wraparound black ankle boots and a bw stripy sleeveless mohair jumper dress, or black halterneck waistcoat or leopard-print scoop neck tee.
I got a flippy black satin drop-waisted dress with lace trim for HM a couple of months ago (£14.99!) which I've worn over black skinny jeans or with opaques and again boots. It looks cute with a vintage-esque mustard short-sleeved cardi with raised pompom bits on it, picked up from DP sale.
Also my bw stripy bubble dress always goes down well, either with black cardi or my biscuit-coloured thermal material cardi with red, pink and purple flower graphic print panels at the front.
The other day I broke my monochrome trend by wearing my red jersey bell-sleeve dress with cutouts at the back and a ruched waistband, with flat vintage leather boots.
Pre-monochrome I favoured my 'forest green' (more grey IMO) puffball mini with a blue and white stripy racerback button-up vest (TS) and jade green cowboy-esque booties.
Crikey, sorry for the essay!
Answer:
For my christmas party I'm pretty much decided on a black boob tube, dark teal quite full skirt, with silver cinch belt, silver cage toe heels and clutch (think kind of SJP/Carrie - it's just a look I fancy for a change)
I've also been wearing a black lace l/s high neck victorain inspired top, with a strapless top underneath to protect my modesty, blue skinny jeans, wide matt gold studded belt worn on hips, black pointy toe high heels with gold reflection tones and gold embroidered clutch.
Also cream mesh victorian style top with front pintucks, green boob tube under, green irridescent beads, very long, very fitted mid blue jeans, cream snakeskin pointy courts and a vintage mock croc cream clutch.
Answer:
You sound very put-together Kel Kat!
I am looking for ways to wear my pencil skirt and black patent shoe-boots, but they're always a bit too smart for the places I go to and I don't know what to wear on top (and they're a tad restrictive for my, ahem, energetic dancing...). I bought a Galaxy dress ages ago but saving that for posh family Xmas dos.
More outfits I've worn recently include grey Baxters, a TS Boutique drapey grey and pale pink double-layer racerback vest and vintage snakeskin heels. Also black skinny jeans, a black racerback vest, faux leopard fur shrug and vintage RussellBromley black patent scalloped edge heels with vintage gold jewellery.

Does that translate to overly matchy matchy? :D
I'm trying really hard to get out of the habit of jeans, but it's so difficult! (especially in this weather). I have worn black skinny cords as an alternative, with a teal satin cami, tan kitten heel pointy toe boots, tan and black snakeskin clutch (matchy matchy :o ) and lots of chunky silver jewellery...
