tank tops
What do you think of those sleeveless v-neck jersey material tank tops for guys. I've seen them worn with shirts or over fitted t-shirts usually of a lighter colour. Are they a bit preppy for guys or is it a cool look for us fellas. I'm thinking of getting one but wondered what you ladies thought. I reckon they might look alright with boot cut jeans??
Answer:
They are a bit 'preppy' and I think only certain guys can pull them off well, but they do look good worn in the right way.
I'm not sure about jersey fabric over a shirt, perhaps if it was knitted it'd be better? But over long sleeved, round neck t-shirts they look good.
And yes, boot cut jeans (probably dark coloured would be best?) and a belt.

I think skinny guys with messy hair pull this off well. I know, I know, it's totally random.
My BF would look like my grandad in this look.

Hi!
I spotted this belt in Oasis out shopping today:
its really soft buttery tan leather, and I really like it, but TBH I'm not going to get much wear out of a waist clinching belt, so 28 pounds is a bit out of my price range - I'm looking for something probably 20 pounds max. Has anybody seen something similar, but cheaper?
Also, how tight exactly are these belts meant to go?
Thanks!

Oooh I saw that online and thought it was lovely! Can't be of much help really - I had a look on TS amd they have a similar one but it's black and £25! Oooh but it so pretty (knowing me i'd buy the Oasis one anyway  )
As for how to wear them, i think it is a look that needs to be experimented with. I tried it with a shirt and perncil skirt and I looked awful!
Sorry that was all just waffle :o
Answer:
thats the thing - I never have the situation to wear a pencil skirt or indeed most things which go with waist clinchers! I've got a couple of dresses which I think it would look good in, but I'm a pretty broke student so can't warrent spending 28 pounds on it :s
It is gorgeous though! :p
Answer:
I had a gorgeous one that was very similar I would have GIVEN you hun!
BUt it went to my horrible SIL instead who will prolly never wear it
Answer:
eek! I'm just too late I guess  thank you very much for the thought though FP. Where did you get it from?

Hello there...
Has your TS order arrived yet?
Mine FINALLY did, after mch faffing with the delivery company. But regardless, i am in LOVE with my cream cashmere hoodie top, what did you think of yours?
I also got a couple of other bits, might take a pic and stick them on here :)
Answer:
I got mine on the 4th of Jan! I wasn't sure at first as it's shorter than what i'm used to (have been living in longline stuff lately) but i'm so glad i kept it!
It's great for snuggling up and being cosy, specially when teamed with uggs:lovegrin:
Answer:
Ahh Uggs
I really don't know why I doubted buying them! Since I have had them I haven't stopped wearing them...
Glad you're happy with your top - I know what you mean about the length, but otherwise it is so soft :)
Answer:
My uggs are attached to my feet constantly:lol:
I've been wearing a slightly longer white or beigey/fawn vest under mine and together it's surprisingly warm!
Thanks for posting on the original thread, i wouldn't have looked at it otherwise!:flower:

Hi hun:wave:
I got my red shoes today and love them:yay: Trouble is they do seem like they may rub the heel a bit :(
I remember you saying you had to use shoe stretcher spray on your? Did it work?
I'm currently wearing them with my OH's thick socks to try and stretch them as this worked with my Topshop pumps:)
I was going to ask for another pair as there's a slight scuff (not noticable) on them, went to see if they had anymore 6's in stock and they are sold out:eek: Talk about luck!
Thanks again for helping me get them:flower:
Answer:
Bump!
Answer:
Hello
When I first tried mine on they seemed to close in around my heels and as they're quite stiff it does hurt!!
I didn't use a spray - I used one of those old fashioned wooden shoe stretchers (they might be called shoe trees). I just positioned it further up the shoe so it would stretch the heel area and luckily it worked!!
Maybe you could mention they're slightly scuffed - they may reduce them a little?
Pleased you like them though!! :D
Answer:
Well i wore them with thick sports socks for about 40 mins and that helped so i'm going to continue with that :)
Then i have to compare them to the next ones i ordered and choose which ones to keep...although i reckon it will probably be these ones ;)
Might phone them up and say about the scuff, although i think it's just because the suede had flattened so i'm going to try my suede brush on them :)
Thanks Jerrica :flower:

Thanks Jerrica :flower:
No problem!! Hope they end up ok!!
Those suede brushes are fab - I saw your post about them and bought one myself and my New Look ankle boots have come up lovely :great:

Hi Everyone
I bought these tops tonight from Tesco. Opinions needed, they don't look too old fashioned do they? How would you accessorise them and what cover-up could i wear with the second one!
All help would be appreciated please!
(Sorry about the awful pics)
Thanks!!!
Answer:
Laura - the pics aren't showing.
:)
Answer:
Do they make me look fat, i can return them.
Answer:
i love the top one, not so keen on the bottom one.
Answer:
They don't make you look fat but agree with Chocolatejo that the top one looks better than the bottom one.
:)
