Wrinkly boots!

NO.1. Ask :
Wrinkly boots!
I've just tried on my new boots :) with skinny grey jeans and a longline black top and it looks suprisingly good.
My problem is getting the boots over the jeans without them wrinkling too much around the ankles.
Can anyone share some wisdom?
Answer:
Sorry, I can't help you but I have the same VERY annoying problem!
Answer:
Hmm not sure if im on the right track, but how about wearing tight socks over your skinney jeans, so that they are tight on your ankle and leg (but not too long socks that go over the boots), and then putting your boots on?
I think ive got the wrong idea though.

    baggers,
Im new to fashion and generally post in rellies most of the time.
Im thinking of having a complete rehaul of my clothes at the moment, thought this may be the best place to come!
I have looked at a few styl diaries, but now the page cant be displayed for some reason .
Mainly i want to buy some nice smart but casual tops and some posh tops to go out in!!
    Any ideas would be good!
    xx
    Answer:
If you post your age/taste /size, you will prob get some more helpful suggestions:)
    Answer:
    Thanks numes.
    - My age is 21
    - Im a size 10/12 on top and a size 8 bottom
    - My style- I like to keep up with trends to a certain extent. I like the fashion at the moment. Want to be a bit more experimental and daring. Im not into the Goth style at all.
I tend to have a lot of casual tops and cardigans. I tend to do alot of my shopping in Next as i love their clothes. Although i mainly wear jeans and a jumper.
I would like to be more experimental!
    xx

phew, its not just me then! I've been trying to add a couple more photos to mine, but it won't let me access the page at all. I spose it will be sorted in time :meh:
you say you wear mainly jeans and jumper - how about starting slowly by just layering these with a complentry/contrasting colour underneath? This can add a bit more 'interest' to an outfit, without being scarey!
    Answer:
Ohara i was actually looking at your style diary and liked one of the outfits on there, was going to pm you about it! I have registered on there and since then i havent been able to access it, thought id broken it !!
I was shopping yesterday and saw that the layering look is quite good. I have a few v-neck tops in white and teal that look nice on its own, i need to invest in som vest tops!!
I was talking to one of my friends the other day and apparently gap do really nice ones in different colours with bit of lacy material aswell.
I guess i feel that ive been stuck in a bit of a rut and making myself look good again will make me feel better.
I know i need to make small steps in what i do

    Help me find these shoes!!!
Hello, last night i saw my perfect pair of shoes and i have absolutly no idea where they're from. I stupidly (shyly) didnt ask the girl who was wearing them where they were from, SO has anyone seen anything similar??
    They were:
Almond toed, mid heel, cracked black leather but looking like they were bronze underneather the cracked leather. Quite plain with no straps or anything.
I really liked them, and they seem so multipurpose lol:)

    Thank you!!
    Answer:
I *think* I saw something in tescos the other day?
    Answer:
Oh, you poor thing, I hate that, its the worst!
I always ask now, its horrible thinking about something for aaaages after you've seen it.
Remember, its quite nice when people come up and compliment you on something, I always see it as a good thing.
Except when someone really chavvy asks  thats just mentally scarring. :(
ETA: good luck with finding them though! they sound lovely.
    Answer:
Hmm tesco you say? Damn it i dont think i have a good tesco with clothes in near me :(
I would normally have asked, but she was a super tall, thin, tanned, model like thing, and felt quite intimidated :o silly really.

    this....

    Answer:
Beautiful bags Bella :) I really like the orange one - would the strap go over your shoulder? That seems to be my main criteria for bags at the moment!

How has your style changed from 2-3 years ago?
I was reading ohara's 'Are you happy with your style?' thread and it got me thinking.
Although i'm not 100% happy with it now i'm completely happy with it compared to 3 years ago:o
I was always so boring and just stuck to jeans, v neck jumper and boots. No accessories, nothing!
And when i compare it to how i was 4-5 years ago, omg!:faint: I was looking through some old pics and i got it so so wrong:lol: Shiny combats, hoodied and studded dog collar.....nuff said:eek:
Do you feel you've come a long way baby? :D
    Answer:
I'm the opposite of you, Catwoman. I've gone really boring. I wear very classic clothes now, I think mainly because i have a limited budget! I do try to jazz things up a bit with accessories and the odd splash of colour though.
I used to be very, ahem, adventurous with my clothing before :o
    Answer:
Before i never really bothered with accessories, but now i do as i've found they can really make a differenve to an outfit.
    Answer:
Yes my style has changed in the last couple of years and definitely since coming on here - but then I don't know how much of that is just fashion in itself and how much is the influcence of the 'bag.
I've always been clothes mad and had very distinct views on what was good style and what was bad style - I think I was a clothes snob at 8 years of age! :o - but because on here we talk about things in so much depth and we're always on to the "latest" look/item etc I think I'm more edgey than I was before and more adventurous. I went through a phase of being very classic and only occasionally wearing something more "way out" (as my mother says :o ). I suppose I'm still like that in some respects ie, I'm wearing the same shape jumpers now that I was 5 years ago and lots of things that I wear now are 3-5 years old, but now I tend to wear things that I maybe wouldn't have thought about a few years ago had they been in fashion, ie short shorts.
    Answer:
My syle has changed tons but then so have I .. after all im not a teenager anymore!
I now am such more daring with shape and colour and love trying new looks. I dress very femine aswell which i never did.I do my own thing much more and follow fashion in my own terms.
When i see girls in town in the usual.. skinnies, stripy jumper, flats , military jacket uniform it makes me cringe... but i do think confidence to do your own thing comes with age and accepting your size and shape and what suits you.
