eBay feedback question?

eBay feedback question?
Hello ladies,
Just before christmas i sold a few bits on eBay and posted them all off except the one auction that ended on the 23rd, i figured that due to the fact i was a bout to go home for xmas that day and that the post would be crazy over the xmas break i'd wait and post it when i got back to london on the 29th and that the buyer would understand that i couldn't really post between the 24th and 27th (it's a big parcel that needed a trip to the post office).
On the 28th i found out my granpa had had a heart attack and was on life support in a hospital in New England in the US so me, my mum and my brother all headed off to America not knowing what to expect. By the time we got there he had died and we had to sort of funeral stuff, and pack up all his things and sort out his estate, we were there over 2 weeks and got back late on the 13th of jan. All this time ebay etc was the last thing on my mind. When i got back into work on monday and checked my email for the first time since dec 23rd the buyer had sent me two meesages and then left me negative feedback on the 11th of jan having not got her parcel or heard anything from me. So i immediatly emailed her and explained and appologised and responded to the neg feeback and have posted her package special delivery today (at a huge cost) but i have now emailed the buyer twice explaining the situation but i've had no response and i'm really upset by the neg feedback (on top pf everything else)
Can i reasonably expect her to retract the freedback if/when she gets the item?
Sorry for long post!!!!
PiP

Answer:
It's a toughie really :( If you didn't inform her of the situation then i think she probably did what i would have done.
You can see if the buyer will withdraw the feedback once she's read your explaination though.
Sorry to hear about your grandad:higgies:
Answer:
Hi honey sorry to hear your news
TO be honest the buyer had no idea about your situation and I too would have left negative feedback and would have assumed because you were unable to reply that you had run off with my money :p. I would give the buyer some time to respond to your emails, he/she might not have access to a pc at the moment or might be on holiday. After reading your email I'm sure they will understand your situation, but you may still end up with a negative or a neutral because the buyer was left without having any contact with you and without their parcel amlost a month after it was sold. I hope they inderstand :)

Thanks girls,
Its just really frustrating. I know if it was me i'd go nuts if i hadn't heard anything too, but i had nearly 50 100% postive feebacks and this has helped to compount the rubbish start to 2006.
I really want to list a whole load of other stuff but i'm scraed that no one will bid because i have a recent negative feedback....
Answer:
Oh that's bad luck, sorry to hear about your grandfather....
...however and I mean this in the nicest possible way... your personal problems aren't really the buyers fault and if you'd have just managed to send a quick email to say what was happening this may have been prevented.
If she has anything about her though she will agree to withdraw the feedback, hope so

i'm slightl;y tired so i've got mad thoughts in my head when i was looking at Uggs.
u know how a vegan wont drink milk as its from an animal does that mean a vegan wouldnt wear uggs cos they are lined in sheepskin?!
can anyone answer this question for me? It just randomly went thru my head just now lol
    Answer:
No vegans wouldn't wear real Uggs. There are cheaper copies that are all man-made though so I guess they'd wear them.

Exactly. Most won't wear leather either.

    Green shoes
I'm having a real colour-fest at the moment (just bought some pink ballet flats and some red boots!) and now I really really want a pair of green shoes, flat (or tiny heel) if possible- my boyfriend's brother's fiance (!) had the most gorgeous pair on last weekend which had a little buckle over and a button and I really want them, but they were from an obscure little boutique and I cant get there.
    Please help fashion baggers!

    Answer:
what kind of green are you looking for?
I have these and the colour is very useful! not too bright, goes with browns/rusts/plums etc., most earthy shades
There are some green shoes on the schuh website too.
    Answer:
    I love those olive shoes nazneen372 !!
    Answer:
Any kind of green really to be honest!
I like both those pairs, but the first are a little too high (I know thats silly but I walk a lot and can't wear heels during the day!) but the pefect style and the second are lovely but a little too much like trainers.
Can you search the Schuh website by colour??
Thanks so muh for the help Nazneen and JT

    NO.4. ask :
Are wrap dresses really that flattering?
The fash world seems to have raved about how flattering these are for yonks but I am not so sure they work for everyone:(
I'm 5'2", a size 14 with E cups and a short torso but longish legs for my height. Are wraps a no-no? or what dresses would work with such an 'interesting' (ahem :o ) shape?
    Answer:
nah, its an urban myth - they are not a universally flattering dress. There are different shapes of wrap dress though, so you may find one which suits you - or indeed, you may have the figure where the shape suits you anyway
    Answer:
hey im 5ft and a size 10-12 and im a G cup and what was has been said is a JLo ass, bought a wrap dress from marks in the sale just to see what is was like and had it on for the first time today and it was really nice it!!!
so would deffo recommend one but i got one that was a stiched wrap rather than one that you tie as my boobs just fell out of them!!! :p
    Answer:
I know what you mean about the tied thing:lol: No top seems secure enough for my liking. It's like ballerina tops and a whole load of other 'lift and seperate' things that Trinny Susannah go on about but don't necessarily work in the flesh:lol:
    Answer:
    dress
for your shape, i would chose a jersey slight a line dress, not a wrap.... wraps make boobs look wonky if you have a fuller bust.
But heavy jersey can be a flattering fabric.... not these £8 jobs, they are just too flimsy on their own as dresses, but ok over jeans.
    Try Debenhams!

    DP order question
I did something a bit silly yesterday and wanted to know your opion on it.
I ordered from DP online and for some reason I used my maiden name, and I clearly said that my card was in my maiden name when it is not.
I got an email saying that the order was being processed and thats when I realised what I had done. So I thought ah well, the payment won't go through and they will send me a mail telling me that.
I then got sent a mail telling me my item had been despatched, surely they could not take a payment from me if I gave the wrong sirname for that card??
    Answer:
If they send a dispatch note it's winging it's way to you!
I put use my name for delivery address and use OH's card and address for billing and i still get things address to Miss OH's name:rolleyes:
Have you recently changed your name, that could be why it was accepted?
    Answer:
No been a Mrs for 3.5 years and its the first time I have ever referred to myself as my maiden name  Absolutely no idea why I did it!! Only been using this bank since I was married too.
I hope it arrives without any fuss, cos I can't wait to try it on!
    Answer:
If a dispatch email has been issued it's definately on it's way to you as it means it's been handed over to the warehouse and couriers :)
    What did you order? :D
    Answer:
1 Attachment(s) I ordered this cute little seethrougish polka dot top. Doesn't look much in the photo, but I have seen it IRL and it is really lovely
