How much do you spend on postage from internet shopping?
Just wondered how much you all think you spend roughly on postage costs from shopping online.

I reckon over the past week, from ordering 3 items, I have spent £10.00, and the chances are they might all have to go back - which may result in even more costs.

How much do you spend on delivery costs, and how do you justify it?
    Answer:
Probably a fair bit, but my nearest decent sized shops are a twenty minute drive away. By the time I've paid for petrol there and back, parking, had a coffee or lunch out and picked up lots of other unecessary things it's much cheaper for me to pay the delivery charges!
I also prefer trying clothes on at home than in shops and I'm not a big fan of the general public and often end up with shopping rage after dealing with all the numpties :head:
    Answer:
I try very hard not to spend anything on postage, and it annoys me very much when I have to  I always check through the discount thread and also sites like moneysavingexpert and before ordering anything, to see if there's any free postage codes - there usually are :D The majority of things I order are from Topshop (students get free postage AND 10% off) and DP's (there's usually a free DP postage code around).
I do occasionally order from websites like Oasis and Warehouse, and they don't have free postage very often (if at all) - but I always order something like a piece of jewellery along with whatever clothes I'm buying - something that I know I'll like, so that if I end up returning the item, I don't feel like my postage has been wasted!
    Answer:
I try very hard to use free postage codes or order over the minimum spend for free delivery.
When i have to pay for delivery it cuts my ordering down a lot :o
I probably spend about £8 a month at the moment on postage.

    2 Attachment(s) Hi
I got the two dress from H M, but not sure if they suit me?
    Thanks

    Answer:
Take em back...I think they both drown you.
    Answer:
I much prefer the green! Theres something about the lengths and proportions of the dress thats not quite right though, mostly the actual length and the sleeve length, I'm just not sure. Maybe if you tried it belted and with heels? It might help the proportions :meh:
    Answer:
oh don't ya dare return.....looks fab on you.
I particularly like the green. It's a good dress for dressing up or down so that's always a winner.
How much was it actually...might have to get it out meself :D
    Answer:
Ummm I would def return the green as I don't think the colour flatters you - I can't make up my mind about the brown one I like the pattern but its a tad shapeless

Returning things which have shrunk in the wash
    Hello!

I was wondering if anyone has done this and whether it counts as a fault with the item, or the fault of the 'washer'?

My boyfriend bought a pair of Adidas originals tracksuit bottoms about a month ago and they have shrunk in the wash. We wash everything at 40 degrees, and he has a few pairs of these which have all washed fine. They are now very very short in the leg - and one is shorter than the other!

We dont have the receipt, though he can probably print off a bank statement showing the purchase. What do you reckon my chances are?

    Cheers!
    Answer:
I guess it's worth a try if you followed the washing instructions.
    Answer:
if you didnt follow the instructions you won't get anywhere...if you did its worth a try...

    What she said! :)
    Answer:
I know from working in retail that shops usually use the rule of thumb that if its over a month its counted as 'wear and tear' but within a month they might count it as manufacturing fault so be more likely to offer a refund.
They probs won't give full refund but maybe offer an exchange or credit?

I have narrowed myself down to three outfits for a friends birthday on Friday all from my current wardrobe as I couldn't find anything new :boohoo: oh well more money for going out! :D
my first outfit is a black hooch ruffled mini skirt with a black slinky v neck tee and black stiletto's and prob black accessories..
    OR
a denim ruffled mini skirt (pale denim) and the same for the rest of the outfit
    OR
a really really really low cut - black sleeveless top with black city shorts and black stiletto's OR pink chunky courts.
    what do WE think? :)
    Answer:
I prefer the first one, but I would wear accessories of a different color to break the black
    Answer:
i would say go for the second option, the denim mini. I think the first one is a bit too much black iyswim and you seem to think the 3rd top is a bit too low :plol

    hope this helps :)
    Answer:
Huuumm I think Id probably go for the third option with the shorts and black top/stilettos....as for some reason I am not keen on wearing short skirts and low cut/deep neck tops at the same time...:o Id rather just show either on top or bottoms if you know what I mean ;) plus the shorts sound cute! (and add some colour instead of an all black outfit ;) )
    Answer:
The first one sounds nicest to me! But I'd wear silver accessories (I don't like gold but if you do you could for that!) to break the black.
