OT - Paypal rip off merchants!!
I just got paid for a pair of jeans I sold for £77. And PayPal charged me £4 for receiving the funds!!
Not so long ago they didn't charge any fees for amounts received/withdrawn for £50 and over. They snuck this one up on me!!
It's not a lot I know but...
Answer:
They probably charged you because you upgraded your account to take credit/debit cards.
It sucks, but it's the way most people pay.
Answer:
And you won't get charged for withdrawing it as it's over £50 worth :)
It's a pain but the company wouldn't be able to run otherwise due to lack of funding:lol:
Answer:
 Typical!
Ah well, I suppose they do give me an interest free negative balance from time to time. Looks as if it pays to be bad with your finances when it comes to PayPal!!
Ooh, that money did come through to my savings today, thanks CiC!
Answer:
I think BidPay have the right idea, the buyer pays the fee not the seller.
Admittedly not so attractive good when you're the buyer! :p
brown/tan men's corduroy blazer
NO.2. ask :
brown/tan men's corduroy blazer
1 Attachment(s) Does anyone know where I can get a men's corduroy blazer, preferably in dark brown/tan/cream? Old Navy do the perfect one, but they don't ship to the UK :(
Here's the Old Navy one, this style is perfect, and the colour's not bad - although I'd prefer darker brown.
Thanks!
Answer:
Next have them - my OH recently bought a dark brown cord blazer from there.
They have them here :)
Answer:
Next have this one for £69.99
Which also comes in dark brown....

Lordy...Awards Ceremony and I have to 'Dress to impress'!
NO.3. ask :
Lordy...Awards Ceremony and I have to 'Dress to impress'!
hi fashion ladies,
just got a surprise invitation through the post to an awards ceremony but i'm a bit flummoxed...
on the bottom of the invite it says 'invitation only event. ROAR. Dress to Impress!'
so, two questions -
1) what the heck does 'ROAR' mean?!
2) 'Dress to Impress' *really* isn't that helpful...what the heck do i wear?!! i mean...jeans is obv out, but are we talking black tie stylee, or black trousers and shirt or *what*??!
any ideas anyone? especially on the 'ROAR' part - i'm afraid i'm missing something vitally important...!
thanks in advance...!
xxx
Answer:
Dunno about the roar but dress to impress would def mean black tie style IMO!
Answer:
Maybe its fancy dress so you have to be a lion? :p sorry I'll get my coat...
maoam x
Answer:
ROAR just means Right of Admission Reserved; basically they can refuse to let you in :)
Answer:
Kel Kat THANK YOU!!
and   maoam!
still struggling with my outfit...can i share some *possible* options?
1) long burgundy skirt with 'ethnic' gold beading detail from Monsoon, with a black cami and gold long-sleeved shrug and black shoes. - lovely but VERY dressy so i'm gonna look so stupid if everyone else is wearing simple stuff.
2) black trousers, black shoes, white shirt with black and silver threading detail (in kind of looping swirly patterns)
3) black trousers, black top, black skinny scarf with silver threading
4) wrap dress with opaques, black shoes, black wrap top and big black beads.
ok, i'm struggling now...! help...!

Pale blue jeans - fashionable?
NO.4. ask :
Pale blue jeans - fashionable?
Are pale please blue jeans fashionable? Or are they just for those under 20?
I've seen some pale blues jeans in a shop -they look okay but TBH I don't know whats the jeans fashion any more.
They are mens jeans, loose fit, with some subtle rips (very small nothing gay) and are pale blue.
What do you ya rekon. Seen them in D2 shop.
Any advice?
FM
Answer:
I like them! I don't think there's any in/out fashion with jeans tbh, unless its ridiculous colours :D
Answer:
I think they are a bit george michael /wham  sorry
I think they do look ok in the summer for some reason!
Answer:
1 Attachment(s) How pale? This pale?
Answer:
I prefer dark. It's not too bad the the jeans in question are baggy but still, I see pale blue, I can't help thinking 80's throwback.
Topshop / Dotty P's help
NO.5. ask :
Topshop / Dotty P's help
I am sure this has been asked about a million times :o , but how do I get stuff from Warehouse, Topshop and Dotty P's all at the same time without paying postage?
I know there is a free PP code for Topshop, but how do I use it to get stuff from the other two places as well?
Sorry if this is a bit dim :p :p
Answer:
Use the same window and go to Topshop last :)
Answer:
Use the same window to visit warehouse and dorothy perkins and then using the same window again visit topshop and then check out and use the free pp code (FPPNON).
It will work for Miss selfridge as well :)
Answer:
Thank you thank you !!
Just bought far too much stuff from Topshop and Warehouse.....so maybe I shouldn't be thanking you after all;) :p
I couldn't use the DP's 25% off AND the free PP though. Never mind...just the 25% off at DPs is 'saving' me a tenner.
