Alice band
NO.2. ask :
Alice band
1 Attachment(s) After seeing Chantelle on CBB the other evening in an alice band I thought it looked cute. (she certainly isnt my usual style inspiration - those boots:sick: , but i did like this look)
I have searched all day and just ordered this one from ASOS, which Im not a huge fan of either!
So Im buying a hairband from a site I dont like, after copying a girl who I think usually looks naff!
Am I a geek? Was I having an insane moment.
Plus point, if I was it was only £3!!
Answer:
nope, i think hairbands look great atm, especially if you have a sweeping fringe, and accessories are the best way to wear polka dots... and most importantly, it was only £3!
just don't tell anybody where you got your inspiration from...
Answer:
I LOVE hairbands and have been wearing them all winter!
Boots has some nice ones weirdly also topshop has some funky ones.
Answer:
I very nearly ordered that band this morning, I think it is very cute, however don't think it will go with my hair style.
A nice way of getting some polka dots into your wardrobe I reckon.
Answer:
I love alice bands!!!! Would love to be able to wear them but sadly my big curly hair does not permit it

What would go with a satin skirt?
NO.4. ask :
What would go with a satin skirt?
I bought a gorgeous black, fitted satin skirt today but I'm not sure how to coordinate it!
What kind of top should I wear with it? Should it be the same material as skirt?
Sorry if its a 'duh' question but am sometimes clueless when matching materials :o :o
Thank you!
Answer:
how about chiffon or a fine knit wool?
Answer:
I'm really liking finely knitted jumpers with silk or satin skirts at the mo - it's a really nice play on textures. I'll often wear leather knee high boots as well; skirt, jumper and boots in similar colours but v different textures - I really like it and it's a pretty comfortable look too.
ETA: really sorry for all the "really"s - I see m to be REALLY overusing that word today!
Answer:
Gotta agree with tasteofsindy - finely knitted jumpers and leather boots would work.
Answer:
I wouldn't do silk or satin with a satin skirt. Not sure about what type of top but I think a royal blue cord blazer would look great because of the texture and its fitted, La Redoute have done it on some of their model photos, which I really liked. Have you looked on ****buymail ? They normally have a nice selection of tops.
My first designer vintage bargain!
NO.5. ask :
My first designer vintage bargain!
Found these Italian Bruno Magli boots in a charity shop for 9 pounds :yay:
What do you think?
I didn't realise that they were designer 'till I googled the label, and I'm guessing they are 1980's, unless anyone has any more info?
They can be worn lots of ways, so I'll have a go at posting different piccies....
Okay having trouble posting piccies, message says the file is too big  .....sorted!...

Personally I dont like the colour, but a bargain is still a bargain.
Answer:
Hi chocolate jo,
I hoped they would be classic colour but I know they won't be everyone's cup of tea, but such a bargain anyway, at worst I'll wear them with jeans over!
IRL they are very similar colour to my skin, which I *think* looks better, I definitely won't be wearing them with the opaques but I didn't want to get my nakkie legs out on the internet!
Answer:
I actually really like them when they're all slouched down, not so keen when they're standing up straight. £9 is a fab bargain! I'd prob just wear them with jeans tucked in, as I'm not really a skirt person. Very nice :)
Answer:
I don't like the turn down patterny bits but they look great slouched down and are a real bargain for £9! They will look great in the Spring too being such a light colour.
