Shoes!
On the 'Post your shoes collection' thread, someone posted a pair of purple and gold shoes, and loads of people complimented her on them, and asked where they were from but I'm sure they were last season or something.
However I've just found some here, black not purple though but still v nice, only
£32 and with this code ZG5577 you can get £10 off plus free PP :D

Not a fashion question, but for contact lens wearers

Not a fashion question, but for contact lens wearers
how much on average does your lenses cost.
Thinking of getting some as I really can't do glasses anymore. They are really trendy and cool, but I just got too much happening around my face area at the moment, I have earings, a hair band, a hat, the glasses, plus I just feel "old" wearing them even though they are cool. I never did like glasses but when I started to pick up the wrong kid from school instead of my son. I thought i'd better do something
I'll be getting soft monthly ones if I go ahead.
Cheers
Answer:
I pay £8 per month with specsavers for monthly disposables. That includes solution and six month check-ups.
They do some more expensive ones at around £12 per month, but I've never had a problem with mine so never bothered to upgrade.
HTH
Answer:
I used to have the £12 a month from specsavers, but have just bought the exact same ones from internet and they cost £4.60 a month from Asdas.
Answer:
I'm with Specsavers and I get the continuous wear lenses for £15.50 a month including aftercare.

Answer:
I pay £18 for my monthly disposables because I've got astigmatism (sp?) so wherever I go I always have to pay more  annoyingly it's not even anything major, it just means my eyeballs are rugby-ball shaped rather than football-shaped apparently, but because of this it costs heaps more.
Mind you, that does include free replacements if I damage them and free eye tests.

Casual shoes to go with skirts
NO.4. ask :
Casual shoes to go with skirts
Hi
Not sure if you'll be able to help or not, but I am trying really hard to get out of the rut of wearing jeans all the time, however, I'm finding it really hard to work out what to wear on my feet, especially at this time of year.
I see loads of people wearing lovely skirts but usually with some sort of boots, I can't find any casual boots that fit my skinny legs (not keen on the Duo casual ones) and find that ballet shoes just make my feet look huge and my ankles even thinner.
So over to you guys; you have made me think twice about always reaching for a pair of jeans and got my imagination going over possible outfits, now help me to dress my feet or I'll be destined to live in jeans forever.
Thanks in advance
misses
Answer:
I think certain ankle boots can look quite quirky when worn with opaques and shorter skirts.
Can't help with casual shoes though, i live in my uggs :o
Answer:
I've been trying to wear more skirts I've been wearing them with short heels - like half an inch to an inch high. They're not really dressy looking shoes, so they can be quite casual. I wear flops in the summer for casual, but it's a bit too cold to do that now. :)
Kitten heels might work as well if you like them. They wind up making me look like a newborn colt.
Answer:
I second the kitten heels; I'm currently loving my New Look pointy toed kitten heels in red and patent black :) They come in all sorts of colours and are dirt cheap too.
Other than that, I also like slouchy ankle boots with shortish skirts.

Answer:
Thanks for the replies and suggestions, will have a look for some comfy kitten heels.

O/T but i need advice and guidance!
NO.5. ask :
O/T but i need advice and guidance!
Hey
im looking for a wee bit of advice and just general views.
I moved out of my dads house last year.I rent a wee bedsit 10 minutes away from him.Its just one room, and i only have a sofa bed in it.So for the past year ive been sleeping on the settee. Its really getting to me now and also the fatc of living in one room.It does my head in and is quite clostrophobic.
Ive met a temp at my work,i had been talking about finding somewhere else to live. She mentioned that she had a spare room in her flat.
Its a wee bit cheaper than i m paying at the moment. It means that i would have my own room and bed, plus use of the flat.
Ive only known her a week.which folk find weird that im considering moving in.I used to share a flat with a friend and it went tits up,i always vowed that i would never share with a friend again. Its good the way i see it cause i know her to say hi and whatnot, and the signs are that we get on and have a lot in common.Im not claiming to be her best friend but its handy if you get on with the person your sharing a flat.My dad thinks that i shoudl know her better, but as i said theres is thousands of people who share with people they dont know?
The flat is in Edinburgh and ive lived my whole life in small towns out side Edinburgh.id be away from what i know.
My main worries are that i give up my wee place(even though i hate it) and moving to a new house to share with somebody i dont know.Im worried im making a wrong choice. One side of me thinks it would be good to take a chance and take the next step as it were. Also to get out more in Edinburgh,i work there and am starting volountary work not far from the flat.
But im scared itl go tits up and il have to move back home and find something pretty quick.
Im just so torn!
id have a proper lease and the flat is beautiful,in a really nice area.
anybody got advice?
thanks so much
Answer:
I'd go for it to be honest, if you really don't like the place you are in now, then you don't have much to lose, because if it came to the worst with the new place then you'd just have to move home for a bit and find a new flat, which can't b worse than the one you have now. (If that long sentence makes sense)
Also, you may regret not doing it, but you'd never regret taking a chance to have something better.
Oh and as long as you check there is not going to be anything hugely problem causing (ie, does she have pets/smoke etc) then It's a good idea. If it was a best friend you might feel uncomfy about talking about problems with the flat, or start to dislike them, whereas your relationship with this new person can only really go up.
Answer:
Replied in GC. :great:
Answer:
I've lived with good friends - which has ended in a complete nightmare, and complete strangers, which before has turned out great, so don't worry about not knowing her!
Yes its scary, and yes, you will probably have some sh*t times, but I think you should at least go for it, or you might end up regreting it. You might be taking a wrong choice, but it could be one of the best things you ever do :great: you're only in your 20's, arnt you? If it all goes tits up, and you've given it your best shot, you can always move out :) but don't just let an opportunity pass you by just cos ur a little bit scared. Regrets are an awful thing to have.
Answer:
I would take a chance and do it, as someone said before regrets are horrible, at least if you take the chance then you won't always be wondering about the "what if's".
