Stripy tops-wearable or common?
All the shops have gorgeous stripy tops in at the moment, but EVERYONE seems to be wearing them, including all the chavs. I tried one on and quite liked it, but I didn't buy it as I thought I might look common, or like a sheep wearing the same as everyone else (or worse, I might look chav-like).
What do you all think? Are stripy tops wearable, or do you think they look common and chav-like?
Answer:
Think they're still nice and I'll still wear them. I'm not one to go OTT with patterns and stripes anyway. One or 2 tops will do me just fine.
Just wear 'em - not everyone looks silly in them and I'll assume being a fashion bagger you'd look fine!
Answer:
It's how you wear them that matters! Golden rule of fashion :D
Just avoid the polyestery acrylic jumpers with massive stripes from chav shops and you'll be ok. I think tops with very fine stripes look a bit more unique and less 'fashion victim'. Plus there's loads of colour combinations. I have a navy/grey one from TS and I don't think it looks common at all - I've never seen anyone else in it.
Plus, you can make it individual with statement jewellery and different bottoms/shoes. Maybe get a stripy vest and layer on a cropped jacket or shirt to make it a bit different :)

PLus everyone is going polka dot mad now so not as many people will be wearing them:lol:
I'm having a little break from my black and white ones as i rather over did them a couple of months ago but i'm still wearing my grey and white striped top regularly!

I can't be the only one that online shops (or real life i guess) who ends up putting in items and then taking them out trying to be good.
Then putting then in
Then reasoning and taking them out....
etc etc
Current item is this, which is gorgeous but i'm thinking my boobs would be too big and probably pop out.... but it's gorgeous
Answer:
Tit tape was invented for a reason! :p
Personally, I'd throw caution to the wind and just buy it. It is gorgeous and I think it would flatter a fuller bust.

O/T but does anyone know what this job title means?

O/T but does anyone know what this job title means?
Hi all,
Does anyone know what a Deputy Brand Manager is? Just saw the job advertised working for Topshop, but quite unsure of the job title.
Does it mean you will be basically in charge of your own department?
Any help much appreciated,
Thanks guys,
Zoe.:)
Answer:
A Brand Manager literally manages a particular Brand and all of the associated PR and Marketing- a good example would be a food or drink company. Britvic would have a Brand Manager for Fruit Shoots, a BM for Pepsi etc etc.
The BM is in charge of all marketing activity associated with the brand, brand plans, brand stratgey etc.
A Deputy or Assistant BM is working underneath and reporting to the BM.
You would normally progress to this role from a Marketing Admin or Assistant position.
I guess that with Topshop it would be BM for Moto, BM for T Maternity etc etc.
Hope this helps :)

Where does the sale stuff go when sales are over?
NO.4. ask :
Where does the sale stuff go when sales are over?
The title says it all really, what do shops do with all their sale stuff that hasn't sold?
And do they ever end up reducing it so much that they end up selling it for less than they paid ?
Answer:
There was an article posted in one of the other forums (General chat/bar etc) which linked to a BBC Article explaining just this.
Some keep hold of it till the next sale. Most go to discount warehouses (Next has one called Next to Nothing etc). TXmaxx gets a lot.
Some sell it to staff.
Some chuck it out so the label doesnt get devalued.
Answer:
is the thread.
Answer:
chuck it out???? jeez, i'm torn between going through their bins and thinking that's sooooo immoral!
