Chinese Style Dress
I've just decided that I want a Chinese style dress - I don't think they're fashionable but I want one anyway.....has anybody seen any on the high street? I remember Morgan did a lovely jade green one a couple of years back, and I definately want a colour other than black.
Cheers
heregirl.
Answer:
My mum bought a pink chinese silk one off ebay the other day for £2.40   - brand new too, just happened that no one else bid!
It's really really nice quality although unfortuantely doesn't actually fit her :p
Answer:
I think there are quite a few sellers on Ebay that do them as I seam to remember there was a thred on here about a year ago.
Answer:
Cheongsam style?
There was a period when they were everywhere but they have disappeared for a while.
I think they are the sort of thing that is a bit of a classic though.
My sister got a gorgeous red one made in Hong Kong - but that's not really much help to you!
I'm pretty sure I've seen black ones about - maybe in Zara? You would also most definitely be able to get one on ebay.
Answer:
Thanks, but I can't access ebay as it's a works PC with very restricted access
Cheers anyway.

Another DP Question
What happens if you are not in when they deliver? Does it go to the Post Office for collection ...or does it go back to the depot??
Thanks!!
Suga xx
Answer:
It's a courier so they will just try and redelivery.
Answer:
The guy who delivers my dorothy perkins stuff has got very friendly with me and my family:lol:
Answer:
Thanks for the replies girls!
That's a real pain as I work full time, and there are some 'post issues' at my office - so no £5 peeptoes for me! :(
Answer:
Could you not have it delivered to a relatives or neighbours?
The Weekend
NO.3. ask :
The Weekend
Well, it's nearly the end of Thursday, so by my reckoning, it's virtually the weekend and time for the weekend thread :yay:
I have been reliably informed that it is going to be -2 degrees and snowy this weekend, so by day, I will mostly be seen in uggs and parka and other warm clothing.
Tonight a friend is coming to my new flat and we are going check out my new local so I will probably wear what I am wearing now.. might change my cords for grey baxters.
Tomorrow night I am going out for dinner in islington and will wear my olive green jersey dress with red belt and red almond toe courts. Then sat night I have Mitchey coming over for dinner, then on to a party at Eve in the West End and am going to wear short goldy tweed shorts with a black longline vest top, opaques and my new TS platforms, lots of gold chains and bangles.
Sunday, meeting friends for sunday lunch and doing more house stuff!
So what are all you ladies up to, and what are you going to wear?
Answer:
I am moving house and will be in trackies and a hoodie for most of the weekend. It's minus something awful here, so I have picked the right weeknd to move into a place with central heating.
The highlight of my otherwise rather moving-based weekend will be drinks after work tomorrow, when I shall be wearing my grey skinnies with silver ballet pumps, black kate vest and deep-v shocking pink Les Petites sweater.
:( God I sound dull!
Oh well, off the see the Libertine now, it's only just come out and have been drooling over the posters in the métro for ages.
Answer:
oooh, nice outfits ! I'm out for drinks tonight with some girlfriends and going straight from work. I'm dressed kind of boring today (skirt, boots, ballet top sweater, zipped up fitted jacket yada yada:lol: ).
Tomorrow night I am having a friend over to practise her wedding makeup and we're having champagne and risotto and I expect I will be wearing juicy couture tracksuit, uggs, wide elastic hairband and a face mask.
Saturday I am arranging my friend's hen night so am goign to her place in the afternoon to sort it out for the afterparty and get changed - will wear somethign comfy like jeans and a t.
Saturday night = hen night at a bar then a club and then an after party at her house. I am thinking I'll wear my black sassbide misfits, pewter ms knee boots slouched down, black cami and sheer leopard print chiffon dress thing with a cracked leather bronze belt over the top. That or I might wear my DP black gaucho jumpsuit.....but I just know going to the toilet in that will be a nightmare:rolleyes: .
Sunday I will probably still be wearing that outfit  until I get home when I shall be in bed !
Answer:
I'm really looking forward to this weekend :)
Tomorrow I have a Burn's night meal at my friend's house then off to a club after that. Will probably wear skinny jeans with knee high brown boots and a short pink dress on top with a wide brown belt over the dress.
Saturday I'm having my birthday party :yay: Planning to get dressed up for this one. Going to wear knee length black pencil skirt teamed with a sequined gemmed black top with my fav heels which are black pointed toe black with diamantes on! (sounds a bit plain/dull but it looks very classy on!)
Sunday I will probably be in my jammies for most of the day with a hangover!
Have a good one everybody!
Answer:
Friday night I'm going down the pub wearing:
-White Long V-neck t-shirt
-Black Boy Cut Velvet Blazer with Satin Lapels
-Long thin gold chain necklace with charms on the end
-Blue Drainpipe Jeans
-Round Toe Leopardskin heels
Saturday; Going to see Jarhead
-Navy Blue Coldplay T-shirt
-Green Scarf
-Grey and Green check flat cap
-Not sure which jacket yet
-Grey Drainpipe Jeans
-Not sure on shoes either yet.
Sunday - Swimming again!
Love the sound of your outfits btw Lizzie B:)
Is this an authentic Chloe Paddington?
NO.4. ask :
Is this an authentic Chloe Paddington?
1 Attachment(s) Please?
Answer:
Don't think so.
Answer:
I've never seen a designer bag with plastic bits around handles - a dead giveaway.
Don't expect to buy a genuine one off ebay, btw.
Answer:
No, definitely not, as Loony said the plastic on the handles will give it away every time.
Answer:
Loony's right. There are wholesalers offering the things for $100 on ioffer which turn up on ebay as 'authentic'. This picture looks remarkably like the one you posted don't you think?

Avatar?
NO.5. ask :
Avatar?
Well as you can all see, FP has made me a luverly new signature which I LOVE and I thought it would simply be silly to have my doll in there too, so I was wondering if any of you could tell me how to upload an avatar?
Thanks
Answer:
If you were going to have your doll as your avatar i wouldn't bother as you would have to reduce it so much you wouldn't really see it :(
It's easy enough to do though, just go to your control panel, then 'edit options' and you can upload one from your comp :) If you need to reduce it use paint and the 'stretch/skew' option.
Answer:
OK, thanks, maybe I can make it smaller and put it in my sig. What do you think?
Answer:
I think that your new sig is so marvellous that you don't need anything else!
I know what you mean though, i'm rather attached to my doll!
Answer:
It is very attaching :D
Well, it's safe in my photobucket account for now, I'm sure it will find a use some day.
I hope you people still 'recognise' me without my doll!
