What colours are a 'no no' for you?

NO.1. Ask :
What colours are a 'no no' for you?
I am a redhead and got the pale skin and freckles. Because of this I steer clear of certain colours. Pink and red are a definite no, also not too good with pale biscuity colours as they don't suit my skin and not too confident about neon colours and orangey shades.
Is there any redheads who agree/disagree with this and What colours does everyone else avoid and why?
Answer:
Hmmm I can wear pretty much any colour but steer clear of pastels (baby blue, pink and lilac :yuck:) and coral. I don't like those colours. I do have a coral tee I got from HM but everytime I wore it I felt weird.
ETA: I'm not the biggest fan of turquoise/aqua green on my skin either.
Answer:
Im a red head and I agree with you. I do like fuschia pink and red though, so I 'wear' them but not in big quantities. I wouldnt wear a red or pink top, as it would look awful next to my skin, but I have pink and red bags, or will wear a red belt or layer a red vest under another colored one so theres just a bit of colour poking out.
Answer:
I'm fairly dark skinned and my biggest no no is white..it somehow looks so very trashy against my skin..I look awful
I suit pink and I love it clearly, I also like grey and black and wear denim items but not blue.
there's loads of colors I NEVER wear blue, green, brown, orange, red, yellow, white, cream..I'm quite weird in fact. :o
Answer:
tealight I know what you mean about wearing colours in small quantities. I seen some red shoes that I just had to have last year. They were my first red purchase in years and I loved wearing them with a couple of other red bits, but a full on red dress or top would be a no no no!!
Oh and I just thought of the worst thing, baby pink on my skin with no fake tan

    Jenniffer bags -anyone else disappointed?
    Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone else has ordered from Jenniffer and received the wrong bag. I ordered one from her in December a Mulberry Roxanne in Oak and I received it and I was delighted with it. My sister (who lives in Dublin) asked me to order the same bag for her for her birthday. I did this and I received it nealry 3 weeks ago, however it was the wrong bag! :boohoo:
It is an awful vivid orangey colour that doesn't resemble any Mulberry bag i have ever seen and i wouldn't wear it if you paid me... Anyway she had sent me two jpgs and asked me to pick which one I wanted. One was this orangey colour and the other was the one I already had so i went through my emails to double check that I didn't choose the wrong one and i saw that I had in fact choose the correct one.
I contacted her and she said that she had sent me the bag that I had ordered. She went on about how the other bag had sold out and that this is still a nice colour!!! Basically it looks like she just wanted to pawn these awful bags on someone. Anyway to cut a long story short!! Emails have been going back and forth to her every day and now she has started to ignore me.... All I want to know is when the Oak bag will be back in stock.. i am willing to pay for the bag she sent me back to her (just to be rid of all the hassle) if she can guarantee that I receieve the right bag or my money back.Has anyone else expereinced this? I am really annoyed as it looks like I have forked out £94 for nothing and all the hassle it has caused. ..I can't believe someone would run a business like this, if they make a mistake they need to justify it. Sorry for the unbelievably long rant. I hope someone can maybe advise me if they have had any similar experiences?
    Answer:
I think this has happened before, it sounds familiar that she sent the wrong bag as if trying to get rid of some crap stock?
I think last time Blonde emailed her and she appologised and sent the correct bag out.... I think!
    Answer:
That's really out of order that she's now ignoring you! Methinks she's got a bit big for her boots lately!
Blonde had issues with a bag she ordered too, it was the same awful colour you described. It was sorted out in the end and Jenniffer sent her another bag whilst Blonde sent her back the dodgy one.
PM her for some advice incase she misses this thead. She's relatively "pally" with jennifer as she's generated her a lot of business from this forum.
    Answer:
Thanks for your replies... I am beginning to feel a little bit better already.
I definetley think she has gotten to big for her boots...I can't believe that she is ignoring me either.. I will PM The Blonde...
    Thanks again;)
    Answer:

    FAO CIC- Free People Dress
    Hi CIC
Just to let you know that I received the blue crochet Free People dress from UO and it's lovely :throb: The blue is so vibrant, it's a true sapphire colour. The dress does fit but I would warn you, there is not loads of boob coverage! I am going to try and adjust the straps to make the dress sit a little higher on my boobs I think. Sizing is definitely generous on this dress too.
I do love the dress and I think I am keeping it but I think it is overpriced for £45 and the material is quite thin. So if you do want it, make sure you get it while the 20% off code is working to get it for £36!
Hope that helps, let me know if you need any more info!

    Answer:
Thanks for the report cheeky
I've got a feeling it would hang off my boobs and make me look pregnant :( So i shall just admire from a far, unless i suddenly shrink overnight :D
It's such a gorgeous dress :heartpop:
    Answer:
Thanks Cat, it is lovely but I do wish it had more material in the bust area!
Can I ask if you have got your cream French Connection cutwork tee yet? If so, what is the sizing like?
    Ta x
    Answer:
I just got it about an hour ago! Only tried it on quickly but i got a Medium and on me it's loose but nicely loose - not silly (I'm a 12-14). If you have smaller boobs i'd say a Small would be fine.
    Answer:
Cool thanks! And also, is it a true cream colour or more of an off-white?

    Restaurant Mayfair/Hyde Park way?
Can anyone suggest a nice restaurant round this area? I've booked The Dorchester for "him indoors's" birthday and have been trawling the London Restaurant Guide trying to pick somewhere nice for dinner. It hasn't got to be really expensive, as long as the food is good I'll be happy!
    Thank you :D
    Answer:
    What about St albans?
Also, I actually really really like Bentleys oyster bar. It's a lovely restaruant, it's just been reopened and Richard Corrigan is now at the helm. I'd recommend it. It's on Swallow street.
    Answer:
Cheers, I haven't heard of St Albans, where abouts is that one M?
I love oysters but sadly he doesn't, I should have said that in the first place actually, he doesn't eat any fish otherwise I would have suggested Scotts :( Awkward sod that he is!
    Answer:
    Hi Tash,
As you`ve said, Scotts is great, they do quite yummy steak if your not into fish, other than that, there is China Tang in the Dorchester, Nobo Nobo Berkeley, Belamys, Maze, Gordon Ramsey @ Claridges, Sketch,Galvin @ Windows (top of the Hilton, so on a good day you can see the whole of London). The new one at the Intercontinental is suposed to be quite nice too.
There are loads more so you should be able to find something local to the hotel.
Hope you have a great time.

For those who wanted a report on the ASOS tunic
It's just arrived and it's really nice. The fabric is lovely and soft and not the cheap rubbish that they sometimes use.
The sizing is very generous, I could have gone down a size easily. What the photo doesn't show properly is the shape of the sleeves- they have a lovely 'angel sleeve' effect which makes it a bit different from the other tunics out there.
I'm really pleased with it :)
    Answer:
I ordered this a couple of days ago too and it's been reduced to £15 now  Glad to hear it's nice though. I might order a smaller size and send the original one back when it gets here. I usually take a 10, do you think an 8 would be big enough?
    Answer:
    that's very pretty
    I like it too.
    Answer:
I didn't know it had been reduced! I might return mine and order the smaller size if that's the case.
I think you could get away with an 8 Chat :)
