It's getting towards the end of their sale ladies, and they're practically giving things away!!
Popped in on way home from airport on Tue, and picked up...
- Purple kimono sleeve jumper, £1.75
- Grey wool blend tulip skirt, £2
- Black jacket , £1.75
The jacket looks rubbish in the photo, but I wore it last night and got loads of good comments. It's double breasted, buttons right up to the neck, and has short slightly puffy sleeves.
Love it!
I'm gonna ebay the skirt as it looks shoite on me, and am popping back later to pick up a couple of capes to try and sell on too.
Answer:

    La Redoute
Just placed a couple of orders from LaRedoute using the discounts from the discount thread, but ive only got a confirmation email from one of the orders :(
Has anyone whos ordered using these codes got their stuff yet? Do you know how long they take to deliver?
    Answer:
I had confirmation e-mails on Wednesday (I think) after I placed my orders, and then an e-mail today advising that one of my orders is being dispatched :)
Not sure on delivery time though; it's not a company that's renowned for getting things out quickly...
    Answer:
Maybe my second order just didnt go through then :( The confirmation on the first order came through almost instantly, oh well never mind :(
    Answer:
I'd phone them to check whether the second order went through.
If the items you ordered are in stock then you should get them within the week but often things take longer - it tells you on the website when you click on your size/colour e.g. available in 2 weeks
I have a mixed experience with them - some things come quickly and I'm pleased with them, others take ages and then are a bit rubbish when they finally arrive. Free returns though so not too much of a problem :)
    Answer:
It's confirmed my orders gone through now :)
It took ages though! The first one went through lightning fast.

    Shoe help please
Hello, I don't post here very often, but lurk lots, cos though i'm not terribly good when it comes to clothes i really want to be!!
Anyway, i'm a bit of a shoe virgin, only normally buy pratical shoes and are usually all fairly similar, but recently i've had urges to buy a pair of beautiful shoes and i don't really know where to start! I'd quite like something coloured to brighten up my outfits when i'm going out cos i very often wear black trousers or skirts and black tops...
    any advice for me???
    N xx
    Answer:
can you do heels? have you any style in mind, such as round toe, or points or sandals?
    Answer:
I was in a similar situation.
I haven't quite gone down the brightly coloured shoes path *yet* but I now have some dark brown wedge sandals and a couple of pairs of neutral/cream coloured slingbacks - not exactly pushing the boat out considering the shoe collections of other baggers on this forum, but it's a step forward at least for someone who always bought black shoes.
TBH, I think that you should start slowly and buy a really dressy black pair with some brightly coloured detail - because it means that you are more likely to wear them. Get used to wearing them and *then* start experimenting.
Otherwise, if you want to jump in at the deep end, you could just go out there and try some shoes on and get the pair that you like - silver goes nicely with black, as does tan.
    :)
    Answer:
I can do moderate heels and would probably prefer strappy sandals of some description. I do have a fairly nice pair of black ones that i normally wear, just getting a bit bored, which is why i want to branch out a little.
I do quite like the idea of silver, would these go fairly nicely with jeans? that i tend to wear on nights when i'm on call (in case i have to go into work unexpectedly) and some gorge shoes would make me feel a bit more dressy.

    Answer:
    I don't see why not.
But since it will be your first 'brightly coloured' purchase, make sure you try them on with the outfit that you're thinking of wearing with them - so that you can see exactly how it looks all put together.
    :)

    NO.4. ask :
    Do you use shoe trees?
Just wondering if you people with your fantabulous shoe collections use shoe trees in all of them? If so, where do you get them from? I'm looking for some good value ones! I expected Asda to have some, but they didn't. I don't buy that many shoes (not as many as I'd like and not nearly enough, judging from how many most people on here have!!! that shoe thread was awesome!  ) but I do spend a reasonable amount on each pair and want to look after them. :)
    Answer:
I don't use shoe trees, I stuff the toes with tissue paper but that's about it. I keep them in their boxes too so they don't get squashed. But I always use boot trees.
    Answer:
I wish I did after I discovered that one of my patent Choos got bent because I couldn't be bothered to put them back into the box and left them lying around in the dust bag instead. Twit

Sob, my vintage boots are too small
I was so happy that I won some lovely grey leather 80's vintage long boots, got them this morning and they are too small. I know vintage shoes come up smaller but didn't realise to what extent. What I don't get is how comes? Is it that the sizing was wrong pre 1990's or peoples feet have got bigger?

Will have to relist them now but thought I'd try the person who bidded the nearest to me.
The hunt for the perfect grey leather boot goes on....
    Answer:
i think people are just bigger in general, anything from the mid 80's and beyond is tiny compared to today!Typical eh?
    Answer:
    Hello!!
What size were the boots?? I'd be happy to buy them off you as I really liked them I'm usually a six in vintage shoes.
    Mimi xx
    Answer:
    They were a 6 Mimi :)
Shall I pm you? I'll send you the ebay link as I want you to really make sure you like them. Don't mind someone on ebay not liking them but not a chum off of here!
    Answer:
Oh no what a shame!! Im sure you can get a great price for them on ebay, but it is such a shame when you had your heart set on them.
